+ FIREPIT on the patio + Attentive, friendly bartenders + Now a non-smoking bar! + Free popcorn in the popcorn machine + Pool tables A friend of ours googled«FIREPITBAR» and found us this gem of a place to visit on a cold Saturday night, one of the first cold days of this season. We couldn’t believe that we had gone to bars on this street e.g. Amsterdam Tavern and Three Monkeys without ever having traveled the extra few blocks down the street to come here to Tower Pub. So glad we did though because this place is SOLID! We got to toast our buns and warm our paws by the fire pit outside on the patio. Around the fire pit, there are some picnic tables and metal chairs. Elsewhere there are heat lamps to perch under for warmth. What a great place to have a beer while sitting around a warm fire with friends. There isn’t a huge selection of beers on tap but they do have enough to cover most palates — there were 1 – 2 selections from Schlafly, Boulevard, Goose Island, Lagunitas, and of course PBR. Don’t forget to check in on your Unilocal app to get your PBR for $ 1. There’s a cute little popcorn machine inside where you can grab a little thing of popcorn for a snack. It’s free! The bartenders were great — quick and attentive service, no issues at all with our tab.

Came here for Megan the bartenders last night working. The drinks are strong and thank goodness they don’t allow smoking inside anymore. You also can have some free popcorn while you enjoy your drinks. There is not a big selection on food, just some frozen pizzas they warm up or chips to snack on. When your drunk you don’t really care you just want food. There is only street parking so get there early because they get busy.

Great patio, friendly staff, and super cheap specials! Only complaint is the taps… the beer is always flat and warm and tastes off. Fix your taps!!! :) Otherwise, love this spot.

Tower Pub is now a non-smoking establishment. This is a plus for me. It used to be dingy, and smelly… but they’ve spent some time cleaning, repainting, and refinishing the place. The atmosphere is now more inviting, without loosing the dark & warm feel of a pub.

Solid spot for a drink and a game of pool. Also, I got a $ 1 stag/pbr for checking in on Unilocal

Has sooo much potential but can’t give it anything more than 1star for the smoking indoors, which completely ruins it. I come keep coming back here only to leave after a drink or two. Not sure why. I guess im just expecting them to change their policy like the rest of the country. Smokers can go outside for a smoke and everyone is happy. Dont get it. Dont come here if it bothers you.

It is what it is. If you are looking for a quiet place to do some thinking and soul searching then this place is not for you. But if you are looking for a great local place to have a beer after work with the guys then walk right in! Sure the regulars get a little loud and rowdy but they are friendly and the bartenders know how to keep your glasses full and your attitude cheery. Help yourself to the fresh popped popcorn and have a cold one! Great beer selection. Not just your old anheuser standbys.

This is our pre-game bar before softball. We always sit on the big patio out back and they have good drink specials. I would like to come here on a different night to experience it fully, but their bartenders are friendly, they serve free popcorn, and they have games out back, along with a TV. Works for me.

Been coming here since it was called«Winfield’s» in the early 2000’s. Great neighborhood vibe with awesome outdoor patio, great bar, friendly service and trivia night/live music. Definitely a lot more business in the summertime. Good place.

Great neighborhood bar! Tuesdays are my favorite and the bartender, Megan, is the best! Ask for a thumb tack to try your hand at sticking a dollar in the ceiling for a chance to win a shot. If you do win, try the apple pie moonshine shot. It’s delicious!

Smoker friendly bar that stays open late. Great happy hour specials from 3 – 7 and very nice bartenders and staff. Just moved to the area and come here all the time. Free popcorn and other snacks to purchase.

This place sure aint schmancy, but its an awesome neighborhood bar with a huge patio and drink specials every night of the week. I think you’d be hard pressed to find a happy hour that lasted from 3−7pm all week anywhere else in the area. The crowd is very low key and I enjoyed sitting on the patio with a cold beer on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

I love to play games. Board games, card games, any games… Add drinking to the equation, even better! Tower Pub has trivia on Thursday nights and it is the best around. This is a smoking, bring your own food, dollar bills on the ceiling kind of place so don’t come expecting too much. Although the patrons, bartenders and the trivia hosts are all nice and funny. Trivia starts at 8 p.m. but you’ll want to get there at least by 7:30 so you get a table. Beers are very inexpensive and they have specials during Cards and Blues games. Trivia prizes include bar cash and some trinkets if you win the spirit award. So gather up your smartest friends and head to Tower Pub when you want to take part in a friendly game of trivia!

I’ve passed this place on Morganford a million times and never noticed. Upon entering this dive bar(and I mean that in a good way), I will never forget the cheap prices. That really is the reason to make your way to Tower Pub. Tons of TVs to watch a game and your wallet won’t scream. One thing you should know… it is NOT a smoke free place so beware if you are adverse to such things.

Awesome neighborhood bar with a HUGE patio out back(seriously, I think the patio is actually bigger than the bar itself). I most typically go on Mondays for $ 2 drafts(ALL the drafts are $ 2! It’s the night I can splurge and get a «fancy» beer! haha). Tons of TVs to catch games on, pool table and darts. No food, but there’s an IMOs across the street that my friends often get take out from and carry over. My only complaint is that Tower is a smoking bar. Depending on the night(especially in the winter) it can get pretty smokey, but I know that going in so I can’t really bitch too much.

Maybe I’m a spoiled Atlantan or I just don’t go to bars nearly as much as I used to, but this was a pretty miserable experience. First of all, it was smoky as all get out. Even at the worst smoky bar I’ve been to, you didn’t come out smelling as bad as we did. Our hostess took us there for trivia on Thursday night and by the time we left, we smelled like we’d rolled in an ash tray. It was a good thing we’d eaten, too, because the only food they offered was popcorn. Two of our group had to go out and get a pizza. The trivia was fine. The place was small enough that you could still hear, but that meant you were screaming at your friends to talk. If possible, I’d like to find a non-smoky, non-cramped place to go to trivia. I doubt I’ll be setting foot in here when I return to St.Louis.

We ended up at Tower Pub last weekend after looking for a bar with games to play. We had having fun playing bags for a couple hours by ourselves on their huge patio. The more I visit this place, the more I like it. I just wish they had a menu.

I went here again and do like this unassuming place. This is where it is ok to were your dress(colored) wife-beater T-shirt and have cheap beer from $ 1 PBRs Thursday to $ 224oz can Tuesday and draughts Mondays(after 10PM). Each time I walked in with my work shirt on, I have felt comfortably overdressed.(I have only been here during the week) What is strange about the place is the good selection of beer and the nice two level stone & concrete patio with a small fire pit. There is also a pool table and darts. This place has become a must visit for me after sharing a late pizza @ 3 monkey’s.

I’m gonna kick myself for letting the cat out of the bag, but this bar’s patio rates among one of the best-kept secrets. If you’re looking for just a place to sit and hang over a couple of good beers — no gimmick, no fancy martinis with flowers floating in them — but just a place to enjoy a good variety of beer, nice weather and conversation, this is the place. And in my experience, there’s always been a table available! I don’t know what particular promo night it was, but I went last night(Wednesday) and enjoyed scrumptious Schlafly Hefeweizen drafts for $ 1.50 a pop. What the? Awesome! That’s about the closest I’ll probably get to winning the lottery.
