Me and my girls have been here a couple times and will continue to come EVERY time we are in the area! Good food, packed house and funny door men! You can’t quit smiling on this place and especially if the DIRTYMUGGS are playing live! 5 stars across the board! Get here early tho, I met a couple from Cape who got here at 6 just to snag 2 seats at the bar… NO seats when my girlfriend n I arrived at 7:20! NOT a problem for US, who wants to sit when there’s a party going on? Last time 5 of us girls came and just happened to jump on a table that was being cleaned and it was pretty close to the band!!! Again, I can’t say enough… weekend with girls? Bachelorette party? Hanging with friends? Try this place!!! :-)

Went to the Trainwreck Saloon for lunch and ordered the Swiss Mushroom Burger. The burger was terrible. I finally figured out that it must be the mushrooms. I picked them all our and the burger was a little better. I think the mushrooms must have been canned because I have never tasted a mushroom that tasted that bad.

Accidentally ended up here for lunch. Big mistake. The server was lovely, atmosphere is just your normal pub feel, but the food was horrid. If you’re just looking for a quick lunch spot, do not go here! No shade on the service, just the actual quality of food.

Went her two nights ago because we are in town for a sporting event. I am giving four stars because the atmosphere was cool and my friends enjoyed their food, but I on the other hand did not. A few people I was with ordered the bison burgers and really enjoyed them, but me and another friend ordered the buffalo chicken sandwiches and they were not good. The chicken we were served was hard and rubbery when bitten into. I could even basically hear myself trying to bite through it(which was not easy). Also the sandwich was basically all breading and sauce, and no chicken. My chicken was at least half the size of my bun. Now with the bad part out of the way, my service was not the best BUT I know that’s because this was my waitresses first time not bartending. So for her usually being a bartender she did very well, she checked up on us regularly and tried her best to keep our drinks full! Also I had the sweet potato fries which were also very good! Defiantly not the worst food experience I’ve ever had, and I had a good time. Just left hungry because my chicken was not good. I would probably try it again, but I would just get a burger!

Great place for some pub type food, absolutely pub atmosphere, lively, friendly. Went for a burger for a quick Friday night dinner. It was very tasty, great service, awesome happy hour drink specials. Would most definitely come back.

The triple cheese burger bison is just a simple burger, nothing to recommend and its not a must, the preparation looks like the same as any food court, the place is OK but for eating I will not recommend

Had the hot chicken wrap. It was amazing and very tasty. They have quite a few beers on tap, which I liked. The service was very friendly and catered to every request. I will definitely come back here.

This place is terrible. Everything we had(wings, potato skins, fried ravioli, burger and fries) all had a weird plastic taste to it. VERY limited vegetarian options. Seriously, go ANY where else-there are so many other places within steps that are exponentially better.

Great brat burger. I had seasoned fries which were perfect. Sharon enjoyed the Dijon chicken sandwich with potato salad on the side. We’ll enjoy our return someday.

Good stuff. Cool spot, had a live band starting up as I was finished with my spicy buffalo chicken sandwich. If your in the area this is a great place to hang

Wow. Wish I can warn you her name but if the rest of the employee are half as bad it’s bad deal. I hope someone from there reads this. My to-go salad takes forever, granted it’s during a convention. However when I tell her if the ticket is still up and cooks are behind, to go ahead and cancel it. We realize it’s been ready, just sitting there. I acknowledged this and just excuses it by saying she’s been busy with other people. I then walk out with the salad that’s making me late to be hollard by her outside the restaurant saying she needs a payment. I say«saaay whaaa» she asked if I left my payment. OFCOURSE I DID! She replied«o it’s cause I didn’t see one». She would’ve seen one if she actually checked. Next– she entered the wrong salad. I go back for a refund, and tip her an extra 2. How’s the tip for just soup and getting shouted at? I asked her to check her books before assuming someone didn’t pay but AGAIN, Excuses. She replies«it was very chaotic that’s all»… Obviously she has a huge problem with owning her faults and can’t for the sake of her job in costumer service just do the right thing and say«sorry». Lack of integrity. Have fun with that;)

This was the first time visiting the general area. I personally think this place is a must– but the band that played tonight covered a lot of metal/rock(which is my absolute fav). Definitely a fun bar. I loved the band that was playing tonight.

The bison burger is amazing and the staff are friendly and accommodating. This was my go to dinner spot for a few months while traveling in St. Louis. Not just a bar — really great American food with some surprisingly healthy options. Also, great cover bands with a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend to business travelers staying in the area.

A few of us visited here tonight. They had great drink specials, and a live band. The service was quick and the waitress was nice but not very friendly, not her fault she was just super busy and was running around constantly. We all ordered their well-known Brakeman’s burgers which were great. The place was definitely loud almost to a point where it was annoying, because it was very hard to hear what my friends were saying, who are sitting just opposite of me. One thing I do not like about this place is on weekends they charge $ 5 cover charge. I think if patrons are coming to your establishment and spending money that should not be paying to get in. Other than that this place is fine and I would probably visit again but during lunch time.

Food was good, service was good and live music is always a plus. Their seasoned fries are fantastic and they give you a whole lot of them. Their Bison burgers are top notch!

Stumbled into this place with some coworkers while we were in town for a conference because it was right outside our hotel. Great find! We had about 4 hours to kill in the afternoon before our banquet in the evening, so naturally we were excited to hit up the $ 3 happy hour domestic drafts! Service was very friendly and the place was unique. I also ordered the toasted ravioli as an app because it’s apparently a «st Louis tradition» they were fabulous! Loved the environment of this place and it seemed to be a popular spot!

The wings are good, but the dinner menu is limited. Very typical American bar food menu but on the more boring side. There were only wraps, chicken sandwiches, paninis, and burgers with a random selection of pricier entrees like fried shrimp and top sirloin. Nothing really jumped out at me as being a WOW must try! Ordered the brat burger. Bratwurst party was juicy but it was very basic. Nothing to get excited over. Selection of beer is okay as well. Nice atmosphere. I’d come back just go order some wings to go.

Decent bar, but I wish they had more wheat beer selection. Maybe it was just that they didn’t have any on the particular trip I made here with my coworkers after our holiday potluck. They had the standard stuff like Blue Moon though, and Boulevard, which was fine by me. But yeah, was hoping for a bit more. I didn’t try the food, but if it’s like the other Trainwreck I’ve been to in Kirkwood, I’d rate it as A-OK. Nothing fancy, but nothing terrible either. Service was pretty good from the bartenders. I liked the décor and the train set they had set up going around the place. Very cute. I don’t really come out to Westport much, but now that I know this place is here, I might come back again for a burger sometime.

We popped in on a Saturday night to check out a local band and grab a bite to eat. My husband ordered the bison burger and loved it.(I know some reviewers stated they weren’t asked how they wanted it cooked, etc., but that wasn’t the case with our server.) I had the gouda and bacon burger. Not bad. The seasoned fries were excellent! They had some good drink specials going on as well. Our server was excellent! Very attentive and on the ball!

Trainwreck wasn’t anything spectacular or amazing. I was in town for business and this was in walking distance to my hotel. Also, I need to realize my definition of walking distance is different than others, especially when I’m told I can’t walk to anything around there. It was about a half mile from the Comfort Inn… anyways… The place is in, what I would describe as a strip mall without the mall. Mostly bars and restaurants in the middle of a business park, kinda odd. Trainwreck is huge, I couldn’t find the entrance it’s so big. But, when I walk in to sit at the bar, it was a tiny bar for the size of this place. I mean, really made no sense, I’d say 10 seats max. Maybe there’s another one hidden away? On to the food. I ordered the Bison burger as it has been suggested here on trusty Unilocal as well as the hotel staff. It was pretty boring and bland. They didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked and it came out a little more than medium, which is better than overcooked. But it really tasted no different than any other generic burger, especially for the $ 2 more. It just had no flavor. It was also pretty tiny. Now, the seasoned fries were excellent similar to crab fries(old bay seasoning). They were the highlight of the meal. The bartender was overall friendly and the beers were decently priced. I may come back to try something else but I certainly wouldn’t recommend the bison burger or sitting at the small bar.
