Our party of 9 took forever to be served, the drinks were delivered to the wrong people — 2 drinks — the rest were water, we had get our own napkins and utensils from the bar about 4 min after our food was delivered, and 3⁄9 orders were incorrect and never fixed. The server never came by to see how the food was after bringing refills. Gratuity was added without telling us and the server tried to hide the detailed bill from us. We asked for a second copy to be printed by the manager since it was around $ 120 and we wanted to know how we were billed. You could forgive all of this, possibly, on a day when the restaurant was packed, but the place was never at half capacity or fuller at any point of our visit today. I can’t understand why our service was so bad. The food tasted good; I had the black bean burger with salad. This was my first and last visit. There are lots of restaurants that make food this tasty with significantly better service.

Since the transition from Java Train to Como Park Grill, the food and service has steadily declined. The food is acceptable but nothing you would crave, like it used to be. The wait staff are untrained, unfriendly and unskilled at serving a table. I dislike the obnoxious LED lights flashing at you your entire slow meal from the claw game stationed at the booth in the back. Today’s lunch: we got there at opening time at 11am. Food took 45 minutes to begin to get to the table, it was 15 minutes between the first plate and the last plate. After we had been there 1hr 10min and still saw no sign of our check coming, I officially have up on this place. The only reason it doesn’t get 1 star is the food is acceptable and hasn’t gotten me sick yet…

I live nearby and would like some place to succeed in this location, but the food here isn’t good. I eat here about once every few months only because it is convenient. The staff, beer and atmosphere is just great, but the bland food and small portions needs to changed. For the love of god scrap the chef and menu.

This is my second visit. My first visit, I had to beg the waiter to sell me something. He plopped my check in front of me without asking if I would like anything else. The food was«meh». This time the service was much better. The fries were very good. The chili was OK, but I was picking out marble size chunks of onion. The chicken curry sandwich was not good. The bread was stale and the chicken salad was just bland. Although it is in a convenient location for me, I will not be back. There are too many really good places nearby.

My husband and I came across this place while searching for something new. Nothing fancy, but nice, low key vibe. My burger was tasty and the hubby really liked the chili and curry chicken. We will go back!

I live a block away. Have watched the transition from Java Train coffee shop to Como Grill. I love the atmosphere. Have great coffee and beer. Food has always been mediocre at best. Never made me ill. Just not much for flavor. I’ve seen it up for sale online so hopefully someone with some decent skills in the kitchen buys it. Staff have always been friendly and smiling.

I came here for their happy hour. While apparently others did not have such a great time, I found this place to be charming, expedient, and friendly. I would recommend this place for a chill time. Mellow and family friendly, this is a nice place to grab a neighborhood drink.

Sunday evening at Como Park Grill. 6 $ Burger night. Sipped an Alaskan Ale tap(many thanks to Kirsten E, for providing samples so I could make my beer choice!) Enjoyed a perfectly cooked mushroom/swiss burger, and a salad. Great food and a terrific grill, tucked into a lovely, leafy street in the Como Park neighborhood.

Wow. They screwed up bacon and hash browns. How is that even possible? Shocked. And didn’t ask if anything was wrong when I shelved the whole plate. Nice staff, convenient location for me but lame beer list and inedible food makes this a no go.

I came with BF and his roomie specifically for the $ 6 Saturday burger special. The waiter«completely forgot» to bring their beers and so brought them somewhere in the league of 20 min later. We checked the website before we came to make sure there was really a special, and it was also on the menu. When we got the bill, it was NOT on special. The waiter did not do anything to help us out on this even though it was his fault for failing to tell us the burger night was now on Sundays(starting tomorrow) even though the menu was out of date. My burger was not even good. It was far overcooked even though I specifically asked for medium rare. BF’s was the same. The quality of this burger was maybe $ 6 on the high end in any case. Overall, the waiter was very rude and unhelpful to us. You’d really think that on Saturday night when three people show up and all of them order burgers, that might trip something in the waiter’s head to explain that the burger night has suddenly been changed with no publicity. As if to add insult to injury, when the check came back, it had a flyer saying that burger day changed to Sunday. The only reason I may come back to this restaurant would be to grab a beer and nothing else if BF and I are feeling too lazy to go somewhere we’d have to drive.‘

Service was extremely slow even though most tables were empty. Server was unfriendly and rude.

I emailed this restaurant to ask a question about their menu and got back an excessively brusque/impatient response. Wow! Really? OK, I will not come to your restaurant if helping customers is so irritating to you.

We’ve been here several times and love the patio! The staff is always friendly and very good food. Interior ambiance isn’t stunning, but it isn’t trying to be something its not.

I got the ice cream, it was really small and very disappointing. I went here in the past when it was java train and sadly the re branding has lowered the service and the portions. I’d skip this local hang out.

Don’t get the ice cream. I got two scoops for $ 4.25 and it was the smallest two scoops of my life. What a rip.

What a nice setting in Como Park, situated in a residential neighborhood with an opportunity to dine outside on a sunny day. How I wish they had good food! I so want to like this place but it just hasn’t measured up on three different occasions. They have to care more in the kitchen in order to draw a crowd.

Nice shaded outdoor patio with sandbox for little ones. A few decent local beers on tap and my BLT was tasty. The pesto mayo was a nice touch. Service good. Kinda hidden back behind Snelling Ave on Pascal in a neighborhood setting.

We live nearby, but for whatever reason hadn’t stopped in until this afternoon. This is a cute place. Standard fare — pizza, burgers, sandwiches, soup, etc. I had the turkey artichoke melt. Not bad — the fries were surprisingly good! Hubs had an avocado burger, which was fine except that the avocado was served as a half on top of the burger. Just seemed odd. Service was slow, but fine — it seems like the place is struggling though. We were the only couple seated for dinner. Hopefully they make it.

Great breakfast place. Veggie wrap very good. Great service. Good coffee. Just across Snelling from the State Fair grounds.
