Food choices here are good. I especially love the wontons and beef brisket!!! They are my go-tos at this restaurant. The only downfall about this place is that people got staring problems lol and the servers are pretty bad at their customer service. I almost never leave tip because they’re just so rushed to do everything and don’t even come back and ask questions about our meals. They’ll just deliver your food and then never come back lol.

Three stars because the barbecue beef brisket and pork belly are spectacular. A small family owned business with teenagers who provide horrible customer service.

I hate to say it about a small family-owned business, but I’ve had better. Service was friendly, but slow. Food was ok, but I was expecting the flavors to be more on: Grilled Pork: Nothing beats Mom’s cooking I guess, but the grilled pork here couldn’t even beat what I get at the HNY. It was very fatty(and as a plus was very moist and tender). However, the flavor wasn’t anything to rave about, and the coloring(a bright red) was not my favorite. Spicy Beef: This was either overcooked, or a cheap cut of beef, or both. Probably our least favorite dish. The spice and seasoning on the meat might have been ok if the actual meat had been edible. House Fried Rice: Probably the crowd favorite that night. I like the bits of deep fried pork that they added, very unusual but good. Chicken Chow Fun: Noodles were greasy and limp, but the rest of the dish was not memorable. Three Color Drink: Wow, this was another one that was way off, even in comparison to HNY quality. I can’t describe it, but I think either the coconut milk or the sweetener was not the best quality. It had an artificial aftertaste that I didn’t like. I would likely never go back, nor would I recommend to anyone.

Horrible customer service. They’ve hired high school students to run this restaurant. One kid will wait you. Another kid will take your order. another will bring your food. And they all hang out near the register and talk to each other. No system at all. Horrible food period. I will never ever come back here. Only came here becus my boyfriend wanted to eat. Not an idea I suggested. Nope. Never. Better to go to hmong village. I’m very surprised people still come here to eat.

10/03/2015 at 9:37pm — service tonight was SUPERBAD!!! There was like 7 workers and no one help take orders gave us our food, refill our water and etc. Plus having boyfriends over flirting and working for them and etc. eating while on the job, also being loud not cleaning up other tables and everything. My food tonight was overall bad also noodles all sticky and dry.

First off, this place has poor customer service and the people who works here are very slow. My boyfriend and I ate out and took us 30minutes to get a booth when it wasn’t even busy. They never have their steamrolls which makes me mad because it’s on the menu and they don’t have any available. I ordered the combo phở with a coconut drink and my bf had their pad thai. I always thought that their phở smelled sour but their pad thai wasn’t bad. Their papaya isn’t too bad and I like how they have cabbage on the side. When I went to go pay the bill I complained that they never brought out my coconut drink and they asked if I still wanted the drink and before I could say anything one of the girls came out with the coconut drink. Not to be a b*tch about it but I threw a tantrum and got the drink for free. The service is horrible otherwise food is okay.

I have given this place plenty of chances. First time I came here, they did not have any limes and will not any in until their truck came in. Fine. But they are right next to a Cub Foods… Go buy some from the grocery store until your truck gets in… Other mishaps between that visit and this current visit. Today I waited around for 10 min. Got tired of waiting and finally said Im going to find a table for myself and my party. Then they hop into action. Order phos, laab, chicken wings, and wontons. Got everythi g on time except the wings. My poor niece was kept waiting 20 min. When we finally were able to flag down a girl to ask, they said that the order was done but they forgot who it went to… What the heck. My niece was straving… The food was good. The service knocks it all down. The service sucks.

My fiancé and I moved to this area and decided to give this place a try. We love local restaurants and this looked like it could be a great place, boy was I wrong. We ordered the beef and the spring roll. They had no flavor the beef was so chewy it took for ever to break down. The spring roll tastes Like card board. It was a waste of money and time. We will not be back!

Where to start… I’m all about supporting the Hmong community business. But that doesn’t mean I’m obligated. With that said, there are a lot of room for improvements. Staff, I feel like they are young and don’t quite understand the concept of serving. You would think any and all drinks including water would be served first upon ordering. Not the case here. Also, they need to walk around and check if the customers need water. My experience was we were waiting for water while the servers were eating their lunch from mcdonalds. We had to walk to them and ask them for water. Food was not spectacular. Beef brisket was good, but everything else was bland. To be honest, I would opt for the same food at Hmong Village a block away or Palace Pizza a block away.

Good food but horrible customer service. They hire young and untrained teens. They sat us down in a table where the previous customers plates were still on the table just pushed aside since they were busy. Waiter never came around once to check up and give refills. All my friends share a mutual agreement on this and have never gone back. Plenty of other options nearby. Palace pizza is just right across the street with same/similar dishes.

Service is horrible from the young kids who serve there. When we finally got our food, each of our dishes where brought one by one. So by the next time another dish came out, someone was already finished with theirs. So weird.

We ordered some beef stir fry, they brought it out with pork. Once out, she than ask if it’s okay with us. First time, we just let it slide. Same thing happen again and again! What the hell, can’t they ask first? Another time, my sister ordered an entrée and man that was the longest wait I have seen in my whole life of going out to restaurants. My sister end up return that plate back! If it’s not phở, it will take forever. And one more thing, they need to learn the different between mild spicy and no spicy!!! We’re done going there.

Stopped in here with the wife and kids. Had to wait to be seated. These waiters/waitresses are young and forgetful. But they are nice. Like one of the reviews says you go here to get hmong food not vietnamese food. We ordered the beef nomtaok(one of my favs here), beef brisket(one of the best I’ve had), sticky rice(can’t believe it doesn’t come with your food we’re hmong people cmon!), steam rice rolls(also one of my favs). All is served family style, the provide plates and silverware for everyone there. After your food arrives all of the waiters and waitresses goes into«oh i totally forgot that you existed mode». But all in all I enjoyed the food here. They provide Styrofoam doggy bags to take the goodies home. Oh one more thing they forgot yea forgot the wife’s honeydew boba tea till the end before we were gonna go up and pay they brought it out. As long as we didn’t forget about it is OK. Will definitely stop by again for hmong food, not expecting service to change:)

It’s hmong phở so duh it’s watered down. But where it does shine is in their larb dish, beef brisket, and pork. Basically the meats and rice dishes. I became addicted to those dishes especially the beef brisket and the larb. Of course all with sticky rice. Also take note that the meats and rice dishes here are way better than what you’ll find at Hmong Village. So morale of the story if you want vietnamese food go to a viet place. But if you want bomb ass larb, and beef brisket(the best beef brisket I’ve ever had in my life) give this place a try. Honestly I’d give this place five stars for the mentioned dishes alone.

I honestly do not understand all the hate for this restaurant. If you want some good, old Hmong soul food and expect the usual service that you get from all the other Asian restaurants, then this restaurant is fair. There is plenty of parking since the restaurant shares parking with Cub Foods. The restaurant has plenty of seating and it’s a good place to go if you want to run into people you haven’t seen in ages, because we ran into a few on each occasion. The restaurant is very casual and catered to the local Hmong community. So casual that the lady who was in the table next to us(and unknown to us) just said out loud, «Hey, can I borrow your sauce?» We had no issues with it because if you’re Hmong, then we’re all related somehow, and they are not strangers at all. How many restaurants can you go to that you can comfortably do this without offending someone? If you are not Hmong, or were fed with a silver spoon all your life, and then go here, it will be the typical«bad» service Asian restaurant where they do not fill your water or bring you your tab. You must walk up to the service area and pay for your tab. I prefer the latter anyway because I get annoyed waiting 20 mins for my waiter to bring me my tab and then another 15 minutes for him to bring me back my card. I went here a few weekends ago with a group of about 30 people around 1:00. The place was packed and there were even people waiting to be seated. I was not expecting much because of the bad reviews I’ve read here and offline. We ordered their seasoned beef brisket, sticky rice, combination phở, pad-thai like noodles and bubble tea. Everything was good. Not the best, but good, especially for the price and especially for a place that has all the Hmong soul food that I crave. Even though it was packed and our group was large, the waitresses got all our orders right and it did not take too long. We actually went there again the next weekend and ordered the same food minus the phở plus the papaya salad. Papaya salad was good too even though the sauce was darker than what I wanted. I just love that beef brisket – the sauce that they put it in plus the fat is so yummy even if the lean portion is a little dry. Food was brought to us super fast even though the place was half packed(it was around 4 p.m.) They must be doing something right since they were able to open another restaurant and both places have been packed. The owner also comes out and greets you from time to time. I saw him on both occasions. So, just like most things in life, if you have lower expectations, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised here. If you expect 5 stars, 3 diamonds or whatever, then you will be disappointed.

I didn’t like this place at all… Meat was horrible in my phở and also in my cousins phở. I had came here while I was visiting my relatives and let me tell you this place totally sucks. The girls were nice but had horrible service… Coming from a waitress(me) your service sucks, you expect to get tip while your service sucks? damn but anyways they never refilled any water until spoken/asked to. They didn’t give any to go boxes. They are just lazy ass kids just getting paid. If any of them are reading this, this is what I have to say, if your service is GREAT maybe your tips will be better. Be more attentive and have someone walk around with a pitcher of water to refill everyones water. Ask how everything is doing with all of your customers. I know at least one of the servers are doing this but if your the only one put someone on check and get more tip. if your sharing tips there you better tell them to do shit cuz your the only one doing shit. Probably not your guys fault if your manager told you guys so… Disappointed in this restaurant very poor… everything!
