Small town store in the big city! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The mechanics do a great job at a fair price as well. Free car wash with an oil change too! The gas is usually a bit more than Super America but it’s also a top tier gasoline, which is worth the extra pennies. They also have a full service pump! Great for the elderly or folks from New Jersey that don’t pump their own gas. I live close by and am here almost every day to get food and gas. The cashiers know what I want before I bring it up to the counter. If I’m not in a hurry, I’ll stop by and shmooze with everyone here, not to mention some of the other regulars that I see here every day. it’s not every place where you can get gas, food and make new friends!

I like the place. I want to like them more. They seem like a nice mom and pop shop and I ALWAYS use the free air. Love the free air. The car wash is pretty decent too. Touch free which is mighty nice. But since I bring my car elsewhere to get wrenched on, here is why I ding this place a star. Why do you always have to charge so much more for gas? Is it because it’s Highland Park? I can go to SA on Snelling and pay 15 cents a gallon cheaper? Why do I quibble over a buck fifty? Because I can. Maybe if I had them do my mechanical that would get them another star but I don’t, so they don’t.

The service guys John and Brian are wonderful, very thorough and considerate. Small-town feel in customer service, fair in pricing, and able to get your car in pretty quickly when servicing is needed. There is a coffee shop down around the corner on Hamline, next to the Nook, which is a better place to go to wait(or there’s always Trader Joe’s!)
