The sandwiches offered here are usually quite good. The only gripe I have is that they do not offer(as every other sub place in town does!!) a grilled and melted cheese option. I mean; come on; even Subway does that now. I also would LOVE! to see the addition of smoked turkey to their menu – smoked turkey and avocado plus many other options is the BOMB! If the owner has not tried this combo at home, he/she needs to do so – QUICK! LOVE the delivery service – always timely and the sandwiches are always nice and fresh and delivery people are also very friendly. Even the people who take orders on the phone are personable.

I’m from out of town and I was checking out what food places that was around my friend’s area. I was excited that I saw a Jimmy Johns in the area since there subs are usually very good. Well that is what I though until my horrible experience. I went inside to order the Big John’s. I also mentioned to the staff worker I wanted my mayo substituted for mustard. The guy that was taking my order seemed to be stoned out of his damn mind. In fact, he had a bad odor of weed and his eyes were bloodshot. He kept asking me, not once, not twice, but THREE times what type of sauce I wanted inside my sub. After waiting for my order, I finally got my food and headed back to my friends place. I arrived back to my friends place and opened up my sandwich and what did I see? MAYO?! I told the guy THREEFREAKINTIMES I wanted MUSTARD! WTF?! Second, the meat looked like it had mold on it and same with the bread?! Seriously what the hell?! I freaking could not even eat the damn sandwich and now I know to NEVER go back to that utter POS place ever again. Thanks Jimmy Johns for hiring stoners at your place.

Horrible service. The employees are always smoking, smells like weed in the place. Food is garbage tastes sour and spoiled and bread is soggy. There’s a Lunds one block over, which is cleaner, better service and amazing food for same price. AVOIDTHISPLACEUNLESSYOUWANTTOGETSICK. I wouldn’t be surprised if the restocking isn’t done correctly and they’re service expired meat

Like all Jimmy John’s I’ve been to the staff is friendly and the store is clean but that is not where my issue lies. It’s the sandwiches that I’m losing interest in. The bacon used on the sandwiches is a joke, thin as paper and zero flavor. With so much competition in the sandwich business quality toppings are a must and Jimmy John’s is not up to par.

I like jimmy johns and the sandwiches are good but this place is slow if your getting delivery. It took 40 minutes for one sandwich and I’m 2 blocks away. But that being said the driver did apologize and tell me they got a whole bunch of orders all at once. So all in all not too bad since I can’t leave work.

Awesome service. Sandwiches are consistent. I whoosh they where open later. The peep is my favorite. They are freaky fast as advertised.

I had my second horrible experience with this location today. Their“freaky fast” delivery is 0 for 2. It’s been about a year since the first time… they basically just lost my order, it took over 90 minutes to finally get it. Today, I figured I’d give them another shot. Placed an order by phone at 12:25, hadn’t heard anything… called them at 1:40…couldn’t find my order… not cool. Guess I didn’t want lunch today anyway.

Super disappointed with the way they ran the $ 1 sub promotion today. Normally, I wouldn’t gripe about a place giving away cheap food, but if they thought they were attracting new business or rewarding loyal customers, they failed on both fronts. Unlike other franchises, which use the event to show how«freaky fast» they can be, the«sandwich artists» were apparently instructed to work as slowly as possible. They didn’t tell people that there were a limited number of subs you could get for $ 1, they didn’t encourage people to have exact change, didn’t pass out order forms or menus and only had one cashier working the massive crowd that showed up. It was a disappointing showing, to say the least. If I’m going to spend $ 6 on lunch, I’ll be taking it across the food court to La Loma, where they actually care about their customers and don’t take them for granted.

Tough to find parking around the location, but staff is fun and I love JJ sammy’s. It is a pretty open location which is different then some of the others I have been to.

This is my favorite Jimmy Johns because it is open late and it’s only four blocks away from my condo. The staff are really friendly and, of course, fast. If you’re super lazy like I am they will even deliver you a sandwich… even just one. They offer a reasonably priced lunch box if you need something that everyone at work or a meeting will enjoy. Be sure to return the greetings when they shout out«welcome» on your way in the door.

A night filled with questionable advertising… I called the one on Grand less then a mile from where I live, and they told me this location was the one that was closest to me? Ok, I’ll play along. The zoning for delivery on Grand is just ridiculous, but my hangup is with other places so I’ll get off my soap box about that. This location was not that fast. I didn’t freak like the website said I would due to the allegedly fast delivery. 35 minutes later? Sandwich was good, but a big mess. It was drenched in oil and vinegar which continues to linger on my hands. The dial foam that I have slathered on repeatedly didn’t leave me refreshed either like it said it would. The smell is repugnant because I’m so full. I take advertising with a grain of salt, but once in awhile it would be nice to believe. Oh well, that’s what I get for being too lazy to cook and too lazy to go out and get something.

I thought this place was a great sub store. I got the Hunters Club which was a delicious stack of meat. Like the other reviewer said, they did a great job wrapping it up so the sandwich survived my eating experience in tact. The service was super fast, I think I was in and out in 3 minutes, and the workers were very friendly. It’s right across from the Embassy so that made it pretty convenient for those late work nights. The oatmeal raisin cookie was huge and delicious too. I’m going to be frequenting this chain more now.

During my first visit to Minnesota, I walked by my first Jimmy Johns a few times coming and going from my hotel. Since I had never seen or heard of Jimmy Johns before, I assumed it was a local place and put it on my list to check out during my visit. Only when I looked it up here on Unilocal and visited the web site, did I realize this is a chain that has locations near my home. This makes me VERY happy because Jimmy Johns rocks! I ordered the JJ Gargantuan. It’s not small. They have a lot of stuff on the menu that looks really good, but this thing is a seriously delicious classic«Italian» type sub that also has roast beef and turkey. I got it with extra capicola and crushed peppers, etc. Even though my hotel is like 40 yards away from Jimmy Johns, I ordered through the web site, which was a good user experience — very intuitive, simple, etc. I set the delivery time for about 90 minutes later. The delivery guy knocked on my hotel door about 3 minutes before the prescribed time, so he got a well deserved, generous gratuity. The sub, which I ordered uncut on French bread, was wrapped nice and tight and it was really well put together, jam packed with meat and, as mentioned previously, absolutely delicious. I also ordered a whole deli pickle, which you can also have halved or quartered. There were no napkins in the bag or my rating would have been five stars… but at least a straw was in the bag! This sub can’t be beat. I haven’t tried the rest of the menu… yet, but I’m loving Jimmy Johns so far!

Not much makes me madder than food lies. While this place does get props for great customer service, the sandwiches were just okay. Not even CLOSE to being the Greatest in the World. Sorry. Not bad if you are staying at the Embassy across the street, but i think I have had my one visit for this trip.
