I am so happy I found this place! I have lived here for 3 years and have tried Regis, Moxie and The Loft and they are all so pretentious! Coming from a small town I want a mom and pop little place but with a young vibe, big places are intimidating, but I also don’t want a Fantastic Sam’s hack job. This place is cute, small and everyone is so friendly! I went in and didn’t really know what I wanted to do, I just knew I needed a cut badly and wanted it colored. Hannah was patient and helped me decide on the cut and color. I also suck at small talk, I am so awkward with strangers, I don’t have the Minnesotan charm. She was easy to talk to and has funny stories. It is exactly what I want in a salon. Good prices, friendly and talented staff and it is a really cute shop. She didn’t try to sell me products which I like. I will be making this my salon from now on.

I love coming to see Hannah. She always does a wonderful job, and each time I get my hair done I get many compliments. The salon is clean and the people that work there are friendly and knowledgeable.

My 17-year-old daughter went in for her haircut. She came home to tell me that Michael, her stylist spent most of the visit swearing profusely. She was annoyed by the constant profanity and thought it was very unpleasant.

Been seeing the same stylist for about 12 years, price efficient, good work, and the staff know what they are doing. Highly recommend

Pusch salon is great! Being new to the area, I happened to stumble upon Pusch after reading reviews of salons around St. Paul,(and looking for something near my house for the convenience factor). I decided to give Pusch a try, and I’m so glad I did! Kasey was absolutely wonderful — she talked it over with me until we figured out exactly what I wanted and what the best method of coloring would be, and she even squeezed me in for an impromptu haircut that I didn’t schedule. She was also a lot of fun to talk to and I look forward to going back. After reading some of the reviews about the décor, I had to admit I was a little confused because the inside of the place looked great! Kasey told me they had just re-painted, which I’m sure helped a lot based on what past Unilocalers have said. I will be frequenting this salon and I recommend it to anyone looking for a new place(or stylist!)

I always see Kasey for my partial foil and occasional cut. Love the color every time, reasonable prices with an experienced stylist, great conversation. My only suggestion? The décor could use some sprucing up. Feels a little cold(ambiance, not temperature) when you walk in and needs a little updating!

I finally went for a mani/pedi. I personally asked for Lugarda. I haven’t had a pedicure in eons, and realized I’ve been missing out. They open at ten, and the nail area is filling up, almost immediately. I opted not to have polish. I got the shellac nails. I chose the turquoise color and I’m getting compliments from total strangers. We were discussing nail trends, and both agreed that gel is the way to go, if for nothing but the drying time is cut so dramatically. I thought the shellac goes on a little thicker than the gel also. I also got my hair washed, and loved what she put on my perm so it doesn’t frizz, it smells nice, and I left with that too. New owner, Michael, brings a very nice energy to this salon.

Decided to try Pusch Salon today for my first Shellac mani. The price was attractive($ 32) as was the proximity to my house. I called at 3:30 and the receptionist was very personable. I was able to get an appointment at 6pm which worked perfectly! Arrived for my appointment and was greeted with a smile. The salon was very basic, but clean. Lugarda was ready for me at my scheduled time and also greeted me with a smile. Had a great time chatting with Lugarda while she cleaned up my nails. She explained the whole process of a Shellac manicure prior to starting. During the manicure we didn’t run out of anything to talk about! The appointment took a little under 45 minutes and I was done! Unfortunately I only have one beef about my manicure… it was a bit sloppy(hence the 4 star rating). Bumpy in spots and sloppy in the cuticles. I cleaned up my cuticles the best I could when I got home. Lugarda mentioned that she had been doing nails for about a year, maybe she needs a little time to refine her craft. Overall I had a great experience at this neighborhood salon and will more than likely return in the future.

I have been coming here for years now and I love the service! This is a neighborhood joint, not a chain, which makes me even more inclined to continue to support this business. Please note: I am a guy so I can’t speak on behalf of their services for women, but I have been very happy with the service I have received thus far. Each time I go I get the shampoo and neck massage prior to each haircut which makes for a very relaxing time. Mike is the owner of the business and happenly he also cuts my hair, he is a friendly guy that likes to party and I like shooting the breeze with him. For me, the most important part is the end result which I have always been happy with, but the second most important thing is friendly service with people I like being around and talking to which they have that as well, so for me this place is the complete package. Keep Rock’n On!

I just had a manicure and pedicure with Britney and she was awesome! I felt like she really took the time to make sure my nails were perfectly shaped and polished, and she didn’t skimp on the massage like some places do. Also, Britney is extremely personable. I was impressed with how she kept the conversation flowing without having to resort to small talk. Many times, I have not been able to converse with my manicurist at all, due to the language barrier, much less have a substantial conversation. Overall I felt very comfortable and well taken care of, and most importantly, I had fun! I will definitely be back:)

I’ve been to Pusch a two times with visiting the area, and I have loved it both times. The first time was a style for and event. I hadn’t wanted a formal up do, so the stylist worked with me to create a beautiful side swept look. She took her time and gave my stubborn locks the attention they need. The second I walked in for a cut. I happened to get Micheal, one of their top stylist. He did a fabulous job on my now long curly hair. He took the time to blow out my hair which I appreciated considering that I hadn’t made an appointment. The the layers turned out even and subtle. He gave lots of tips and advice about how to improve the health of my hair as well. I will go back here as often as I can.

I had purchased a crowd-cut certificate for a full foil for $ 45.00.(Supposedly a $ 150 Value)…Uh huh… Come on… This place does not warrant that kind of price nor do its stylists in my opinion. When I arrived, I told them I had a crowd cut certificate and I was placed with a stylist and I can not remember her name because this was awhile ago. She was friendly enough but very much in a rush. She only gave me a partial foil because she said it was«cheaper».HELLO, my crowd cut was for a FULL foil. Had i wanted a partial foil, I would have boughten the cheaper crowd cut cert. No one else was in the salon at the time I was there. It appeared very dirty and unorganized. I have to second the other Unilocaler who said in the end, it turned out OK but I just had a bad feeling about the place. My hair turned out OK. My foils were placed correctly, my Grey hairs were covered with the paint between but I would never go back. Unless this has changed in the past several months, they do not have a real pedicure chair. i saw someone getting a pedicure and she basically was sitting on a chair with her feet in a bucket of sorts soaking. This little corner where the bucket was for your pedicure was also the«manicure» area as well. Hopefully, they have improved on this but I won’t hold my breathe.

Tried to make an appointment with pusch, felt dejected after waiting forever on hold and decided to forgo the visit together. Although it’s a convenient location, in the past I haven’t been impressed. Despite my recent change of heart to give it another go, they gave me an excuse to skip it altogether. Sorry pusch, maybe another time?

I’m not quite sure how to review Pusch Salon. The end result turned out fine, but the whole time I was there I didn’t really feel comfortable. I found out about Pusch after they ran a Crowd Cut deal that I purchased for half off on highlights. The inside of the salon isn’t particularly impressive and almost looked a little dingy, but I did like the mismatched mirrors they had at each station. My disappointment with Push started right when I checked in and was told my hairdresser was out«running an errand» and would be back soon. Who runs an errand right before they have a client coming in? He ended up being 10 minutes late. Not a good start. After getting over my initial annoyance, I was fine and the conversation was relaxed and easy. I only got a partial foil, but he definitely gave me my moneys worth. After all the foils were in, he stuck me under the dryer for what seemed like ages. I was so hot under there and he was nowhere to be found. I felt like my head was burning and I was getting a little nervous that my hair was frying. He finally came back and thankfully turned the heat down. On to the washing. He was so rough it was a little painful! I’ve never had a stylist be that rough when washing my hair, he was just tossing my poor head around. All I kept thinking is «when will this be over??» The styling process was equally rough and he actually burnt my scalp with the blow dryer. I had to tell him he was burning my head. All that brushing and drying left me with a sore scalp. Thankfully, the highlights turned out fine, but I don’t think I will be back to Push anytime soon.
