If I didn’t have a package with them I would never go back again. Their customer service is horrible, I’ve never been hung up on so many times when trying to explain something. They simply don’t care about you. I usually leave with wax still on me.
The one good thing they going for them is their after care products.
All in all if you want a place that has great customer service, don’t go here.

I got a Brazillian wax a few months back. It was not my first one, but it was my first time at European Wax Center. It was by far the most painful Brazillian wax I had ever gotten, and the technician was clearly inexperienced – but whatever, waxing is painful so I shrugged it off. When the wax was over, I thought it was a joke. I looked down expecting perfectly barren and smooth skin. There were patchy TUFTS of hair left in places, and my hair isn’t even that thick or long. To make things worse, she had done some sort of hybrid Brazillian-​bikini wax where she didn’t even attempt to wax my lowest parts, despite me paying for a full Brazilian. It was as if she said, «Meh, I’d rather just give you a half-​hearted patchwork camouflage look today!» I actually thought I was being pranked, and was in such utter disbelief as I left and put my clothes back on that I didn’t say anything (big regret, so I’m saying something now). I went home and shaved the patches off, vowing never to return to EWC.

They were very polite and professional and got me in on a moment’s notice. I would say this is a good place if you’re having one of those days where you need a brow wax fast. However, the quality wasn’t great. She took off the end of one of my eyebrows and was not very thorough. I was tweezing pretty long hairs within 3 days. But again, great if you just need something fast and it was free as it was my first time, so you get what you pay for.

My friends and I actually had a pretty decent experience when we went here for the first time. HOWEVER I don’t know what kind of business you guys are running where someone cannot cancel an appointment without being berated and hung up on. Unprofessional. Taking my coins elsewhere and I highly suggest anyone that enjoys even the slightest level of customer service do the same. Also, it’s apparent the name Angelica comes with a specific attitude #rugratstaughtus #staywoke

Everyone is wonderful there. Love walking in and they greet you with a smile and know your name. Everyone is great in what they do but I absolutely love Cassie!!!

Negative star if possible I have never had a problem with ingrown hairs I usually just shave but I decided to get my first wax on my birthday after I got the wax I got huge I mean huge ingrown hairs that hurt I went to the doctor and the first thing they asked me is did I recently Get waxed I said yea they told me when places don’t change there wax a lot or practice unsafe techniques the wax can carry bacteria and once your exposed to it there is nothing you can do I went to the one on grand never again never again my bikini line is literally ruined for the rest of my life and I bought the ingrown hair serum also

I go see Anise and I’ve been to her twice now. She does a great job and is friendly and professional. The front desk people come across as over enthusiastic at times so it seems insincere but that’s common in the service industry so I ignore it.

Change of heart. I already felt I was being far too generous with my last review only because my cousin was hired at this company. I held back that the receptionist was so confused with everything I asked her. 2 normal questions. She also helped 3 incoming customers before she finished helping me. At that point she never came back to me so I said thank you & left. I hate that I didn’t get her name. Then my sister went in the very next day for a wax & the lady told her «if you’re just going around trying to get a free wax you can’t do that» Took a few woosahs for me not to go in that place & let her know differently. Noone mentioned anything about a free wax! I’m absolutely going back to the Refinery in Dinkytown! Velcro curtains and all! I love the people there, I love the price, I love the products & I love the way they treat me AND my sister! I’ll never come back here!

I have been going to European Wax Center for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. The facilities are clean and gorgeous, the people are very friendly, and the wax specialists are fantastic! I have purchased the unlimited year eyebrow wax pass twice now, and it is a fantastic deal for someone that likes to go get their brows waxed every couple of weeks. I have been religiously seeing Anise A. at this location since she returned from her short hiatus and I would highly recommend booking an appointment with her to anyone looking for someone that knows what they are doing! Just last week she helped me figure out how we are going to change the look of my eyebrows and I could not be more excited to see how they turn out over the next couple of weeks. I also got my first ever brazilian wax done at this location, I always thought this would be an awkward experience but having a regular specialist you see really helps, and they do a great job making sure you are comfortable throughout the process.

Just switched waxing places and this is great! Comfortable and easy with good package deals. Kristin is awesome!

awesome experience! I have been in 2 times so far for my brows and lip! My mother use to be a cosmetologist so she took care of most of my needs but is getting older and her sight is going. I was nervous to try this place but saw good reviews! Christina is the lady I’ve seen and she does a great job! She’s friendly and makes for a personal experience with conversation during the process!

Great Experience!
Most of my waxing has always been through a hair salon or at home treatment, so I was excited to try a place that specialized in waxing. I made my appointment online which I wouldn’t recommend, because the service time/​date did not go through onto their computers. When I got there, I was a little embarrassed to find that I did not have an appointment, but they completely understood and placed absolutely no blame on me and figured out a way to fit me in right away. I found this detail especially professional because I have had salons in the past blame me for a receptionists mistake — which is extremely embarrassing and uncomfortable.
The Estheticians were all dressed in a uniform which gave a feeling of quality and value to my experience.
The eyebrow and lip wax was not only cheaper than ones that I receive at salons, but it was exactly the same quality (I wont say better, only because there is only so much you can do with you eyebrows and lips). They used hard wax, which I had never received before, but it did the job well and with little swelling/​redness for someone like me with sensitive skin. It was painful — yes — but worth it in the sense that I do not have to be embarrassed to go anywhere afterwards.
All in all I will give them 5 stars. I had a great experience and they give you your first wax complementary so that’s always a bonus. Fantastic receptionist, good esthetician, little to no redness, professional atmosphere, inexpensive compared to a salon.

Yikes.
I’ve hand a handful of bikini waxes before, all at the same salon. They had no openings this week so I had to look elsewhere. I will compare this experience as such: «Salon A» was akin to that of Kincaids — European Wax Center was like getting a wax at Jimmy John’s.
Don’t get me wrong — the people were very sweet, the room was clean and the interior was chic, but c’mon ladies… is that what’s really important? No. We need a good wax job.
I am all red and –ahem– bumpy, the lady missed literally half of the hair, pulled incredibly slowly (just rip that sucker out!!) and the lines are all crooked… It looks as though I shaved with a dull razor in THE DARK.
If you look at reviews from other locations, you will see that this place is just not the place for you. They do offer a complementary free bikini wax for first-​timers, so go see for yourself. BUT BE YE WARNED.

Wow! I came here last week for my first ever bikini wax. I was extremely nervous. The lobby is gorgeous & the receptionist was kind. I was taken in the back to a room that resembled a doctors office. (Didn’t bother me) the process was quick & surprisingly not too painful. Hard wax is a miracle! I have another appointment for May already booked. They also have a reward program, you can purchase packages, and new customers receive a free wax! Great service and I can’t wait to go back!
