Mimi gave my daughter and myself really nice haircuts today. Price is so affordable ($ 25 for women’s haircut) and Mimi’s skill makes the price a bargain. She trimmed my shoulder length hair and taught me how to style it for a formal party. I’m clueless in hair styling department so I really appreciated her time. I liked her and her skill so much that I asked if she could do my daughter’s hair next. Mimi made my daughter’s wish come true by giving her an amazing Mavis (hotel Transylvania) haircut. My hubby and I was blown away by how fast Mimi worked and how great a job she did. My 7yr old looks super cute in Mavis haircut. Mimi really got mad skills! I’ll be back for a pixie cut I’ve always wanted but was never able to achieve with other stylists. Thank you Unilocalers for leading us here. Do call to make appointment. Mimi accepts credit cards. Rest of the family didn’t mind hanging out nearby since there were plenty of shops to brows and shops selling treats nearby (Ex.Popsicles at Hippos).

Mimi knows her $hit! She is awesome at cutting my husbands thick hair. She has done my hair before and let me tell you, that’s not easy! My hair is a nightmare of texture and thickness. Not just anyone can cut it, but Mimi can.
I love the feel of the «punk rock salon». It reminds me of the 80s. It’s always fun to go in there and check out what they have going on.
Cassandra is great at hair too, even though she’s never done my hair, I’ve watched her work. She is very talented.

This is a great Salon if you want a style that is contemporary. The atmosphere is trendy and it is in an interesting part of town. The employees are great and you will have a fun time here.

My two daughters and I had our hair cut by Cassandra today and we couldn’t be happier! Super cool place and people plus super affordable! She had no problem handling my daughter’s curly hair and was really helpful finding the right cut for her hair type. Definitely coming back!

Cassandra is amazing. She is my go to stylist (especially for crazy colors) and for those of us who live in the real world — she’s affordable. Any color in the world you want in your hair, she will put it there and it will look amazing. If you ask nicely she might even shave a star in your man candy’s hair too. I send everyone to her, and everyone keeps going back. She was the genius behind my trademark seamonster colors for years (until my new school threw a fit… yay conservative graduate program).

Mimi and Cassandra, the ladies of Star Booty, specialize in «rock and roll cuts and color» and their walls show it, with signed posters and flyers from countless local and international bands that have strolled into the store for a hair fix. Retail includes band t-​shirts, local music CDs, and tons of pop culture magnets, incense, artwork and knick-​knacks.
A casual punk rock attitude is the rule here, with musicians, skater kids and downtown denizens flowing in and out out a la «Barbershop». You’ll see cool suburban parents coming in with their kids to get cute and sassy ‘dos for school and then the metal düde playing the State Theater will come in for an emergency layered shag.
Star Booty is a fun place to get a cut and color while soaking up the local 600 block flavor.
