Gabbie has been doing my hair for years, she is the best. Unfortunately Albie no longer owns the salon and the new owners have hired an all new staff, with no regards to seniority or loyalty (getting rid of my stylist). I will never step foot in here again and will advise my friends to do the same. PS. Star Booty is less than a block away, where they have their act together.

Yu-​Lee Izyk is amazing! Best stylist I have ever had! She uses natural products and always knows how to cut my hair so I can get up and go! She is a hair whisperer! I really appreciate that she listens to what I want. She is also really good at helping me make subtle changes each time to keep my look fresh without going past my comfort zone. I couldn’t be happier that I found her. Everyone I have sent her way is just as excited about her as I am. You will not be disappointed!

WOW. All of the excellent reviews are true. I am from San Diego, in St Petersburg on vacation, and had been hoping to find an expert stylist to cut my shaggy locks and color my gray. I was considering going all gray. Alby and Laura surpassed my expectations, and I’m a fussy customer. Alby took time to look at my hair, my facial structure and recommend a cut which was flattering for me. It looks great and I love it. Next was the color. Laura is an expert colorist and bless her, she spent a long time looking at my natural color and exploring what would be best for my coloring and type of hair. UltimatelyI trusted both of them and could not be happier. Laura even spent time giving me the formula so that I can replicTe the color once back in California. I feel so lucky to have found this team and give the. The highest recommendation.

I was introduced to Yu-​Lee when I went into Brew D Licious to see my friend Brigitte. How lucky was I to be at the right place at the right time?
As you can see, I am Asian (half) and I have the black, thick, Asian hair… and of course… I wanted to be a BLONDE!
Yu-​Lee uses organic products and my hair not only looks beautiful, but it FEELS amazing!!!

Albie is such a lovely person, which makes his haircut stand out even more! He is TERRIFIC; my hair looks great, and is easy to manage. Not sure if people realize who we have here, but he is a celebrity stylist with a local attitude. He gives back to his community, and his salon is low key and cool. I had a bad experience at Aacardi, so I was in search of a new salon. A friend recommended Yu-​Lee at VLVT. I went for a haircut today and I am so pleased with the result. Yu-​Lee is knowledgable, pleasant, and thorough! She made me feel comfortable right away and was very professional. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I have been wondering if at least some of the glowing reviews here aren’t from real customers… Lots of these reviews are from people with only one review on Unilocal.At any rate, I was disappointed with my experience. Albie is very nice, but he barely focused on me or my hair. He chatted nonstop the entire appointment. My hair looks not horrible, but not good, and I won’t be back to Albie. I want a stylist who is interested in giving me a hairstyle that I like, who takes the time to talk with me about styles and options, and who genuinely makes an effort to give me a look that I want. Albie wasn’t this stylist. He was just going through the motions and was too interested in having a conversation (not about hair). He definitely was not paying attention. I tried to interrupt him at one point to talk about the style he was giving me, but he ignored me and just kept chatting. I think he lost sight of the reason I was in his salon. He also asked me if I wanted to add a tip when I paid. I thought owners of salons don’t take tips??? And he asked me to give him a good review on Unilocal,even before he started cutting. Maybe it was an off day, but I’m disappointed.

Kristine is AMAZING!!. I have lived in Chicago, Austin and Scottsdale. I have had my hair done by the best. Kris is one of the best. Strangers walk up to me and compliment my hair constantly. Her cuts and color are always perfect. I found Kris when I first moved to St Pete after having cut my hair short on a whim while still in Chicago. I grew tired of the short cut fast. Kris gave me my long hair back with extensions that I wore for a year. The extensions were a perfect match and looked awesome. I adore that woman!

Yu-​lee is the best! She uses only organic haircolor line and took her time to give me the exact blonde I wanted! She brought me from a deep red brown to perfect golden blonde balayage all in one try! She is a true expert!

I got my hair cut here by Laura and I absolutely adored the cut and her! She was very attentive and continuously asked for my input and direction. She cut it exactly how I like and added a little of her own touch. Laura is extremely down to earth and fun. I liked her, the cut, and the salon so much that I returned the next day to let her color my hair. She did it without an appointment and was extremely helpful in guiding me through the whole process (this was my first time getting my hair dyed.) She had swatches and magazines for me to look at. She worked very hard to get the color perfect and I love the way it turned out. I highly recommend this salon and this stylist!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Not only was the atmosphere and music incredibly cool but my stylist was amaze balls!!! Carly is super sweet, patient, professional and gave me an even better cut than I originally had in mind. I have found my new salon!

Until Albie Mulcahy and Laura Picciotti​started taking care of my hair, I never really got compliments but now I do. I had known him for a while but I was staying loyal. Big mistake. I should have jumped ship earlier to his place. So many talented hair specialist.

I was frantically looking for someone to cut my hair on New Years Eve and called them and got right in. I even got an appt with the owner Albie. He is simply amazing! He added so much shape and body to my hair. I told him exactly what I wanted and he made it come to life. He was also quick and super sweet.
It was more than I was looking to pay but it was 100% worth the price. He did an amazing job!

Bad-​ass beauty «saloon» in the heart of downtown where all the hep cats get cut. Extraordinarily talented artists. Avant-​garde techniques. Professional, laid back atmosphere. Chic and elegant stylists with mad skills. Cycle Brewery is right next door. Like, right next door. I recommend the lady with black hair.

Amazing service! They took me last minute after having an appointment cancelled at a previous salon. Albie (Salon owner) was super professional and personable. Everybody made me feel at home. Natalia is a superb stylist. Very friendly and professional.
So glad to have found this place. They set themselves apart from other salons in offering great costumer service.
