I love the Sake Bomb! It is on my «must stop» list when I visit DTSP. I love the Asian-themed decorations and the staff is always friendly. The bar is normally not crowded and the music is pretty good, too. You can also play air hockey for free! This was our fifth stop of the evening and we stopped in for a quick drink. The people next to us were drinking Sake Bombs. For those who aren’t too familiar with Sake Bombs, they are a shot of sake dropped into a glass of beer and then chugged. I would have liked to drink one, but this being our fifth bar of the night, I had no business doing shots. If you are looking for a nice laid back bar with a great vibe, this is the bar for you. I definitely plan on returning the next time I am in DTSP and will be doing a Sake Bomb to celebrate the occasion.

Laid back, cheap drinks, but nobody was in there on a Saturday night. We walked in just to do sake bombs, so we didn’t stay long at this bar. It is pretty dark so I couldn’t see much, but I would describe it as a dive bar. I was surprised that there wasn’t anyone there other than us. We ordered five sake bombs and they were $ 5 each. The bartender was really nice and walked us through doing it. After we did our shots we moved on. I would come here with friends, but I probably wouldn’t come here expecting to meet people.

Nice bar. But it was DEAD. Free air hockey. Pool Table. Bad Ass Bruce Lee films playing. 2 for 1 on drafts. I went on a Saturday evening. Maybe I went at the wrong time. Regardless. I’ll be back.

I am fairly impressed. This is the closest that I have seen in the Bay area to a club with a real SoBe feel. Of course it was 8:00 when we were there and it was totally empty so I can’t begin to tell you what it would be like when full. But the décor was interesting and modern. They had some drink specials that were BOGO which is always nice. My wife ordered some sort of Saketini with raspberry. She liked it a lot. I had their beer. Their beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. When I asked about the music that they play the Bartender said that they play a lot of old school hip hop. That sounds good to me. All in all this looks like a good time.

Fun and different bar with cool vibe. They always have a DJ or live music on the weekends and promote everything on their FB page. They are a true bar, no food that I saw. .. they are known for their Sake Bombs which is sake in a shot glass dropped into a beer. In addition they have other beers, sake and as noted by another Unilocaler they have hard cider too. Looking for something on a Fri or Sat night this is a little up Central, but worth wondering too. Enjoy!

The locations is just perfect! More space, but it still has a cool friendly vibe and the music always gives me flash backs to high school! They have great prices on all kinds of beer and of course Sake flavors galore. I personally enjoy hard ciders, which they also stock. You can watch sporting events on the tv, listen to live bands and hang out with quite an eclectic crowd. Their facebook page is a good way to find out about their themes parties! for my blog post on sake bomb!

This is a unique artsy bar in St. Pete. The music is usually good and seating both indoors and out front on the patio. There are specials every week including 2-for-1 draft beer and sake and $ 10 kill the keg for draft beer. Many different flavors of sake, both hot and cold. The bartender is happy to give a sample before you order an entire shot. The staff is pleasant and the vibe of the customers is good. Another place that contributes to the many great hang out spots in DTSP

Really cool place. A classy, hip atmosphere really makes this a win in my book. I went pretty early one Friday night(around 8:30) to get the night started and there was only about 8 people in the entire place. Walking by later though, Sake Bomb was booming(excuse the pun, I couldn’t resist) and I will definitely be going back soon.

Great place to try different type of sake.(hot, cold, sparkling, or flavored) priced around $ 7.50, not so bad. Go to to see what else they offer.

Awesome space, cool staff — usually a hip DJ and a crowd that mixes downtown types, arts types and hipsters — in a very good way. Sake, wine, beer on the menu. Every time I’ve been there I’ve had an awesome time. Bonus: No smoking inside — the black lung crowd is relegated to the sidewalk outside.
