Rod is a fantastic tour guide. This tour goes deep into the history of the island. I’ve been to St. Simons many times but never knew just how rich in history the island is. If you’re choosing which trolley tour to take in St. Simons, choose this one. Not only because of Rod, but this trolley is the most comfortable!

So impressed by Captain Ron’s tour several weeks back that I brought my husband to the Golden Isles this weekend to experience this extraordinary trolley ride. Ron’ s well researched historical spiel is eclipsed only by his enthusiastic personality. Don’t miss this tour!

Capt. Rod was a non-​stop story teller, historian, guide, and host. You can not possibly start a vacation here in a better way. His passion for the island shows in his story telling and it was very enjoyable.
The only confusing thing was were to pick it up at. There are blue sunbrellas that he will pull the trolley in front of at the appointed time and wait for 30 minutes unless it fills up. You purchase your ticket on the trolley, They take plastic but there is a $ 2.00 fee.
