St. Simons Trolley Island Tours

I booked the trolley to take wedding guests from the hotel to the wedding venue. It was a nice touch and surprisingly affordable. It helped to make my daughter’s wedding memorable. Many thanks to Bunny!

We wanted to see the whole island so we could decide where we wanted to visit and eat while we were on the island for a few days. This is the best way to see the island. They take you to all the highlighted posts and point out things and good resturants along the way. It’s not that expensive $ 23 and you ride in air-​conditioned comfort and you don’t have to worry about parking either. I highly recommend the Trolley

We took this trolley tour first thing and had a wonderful time! Bunny was very entertaining and brought the rich history and charm of the island to life. I would definitely recommend this to a first timer as it gives a good overview of the entire island when deciding what next to explore.

It’s 23.00 for 90 minutes around the island for a fun history lesson and fun starting at 11am. One of the better trolley rides I have been on. This was my second ride around the island. It starts and ends by the pier, lots of fun!

This was a great addition to our time in SSI. Bunny, the tour guide, was fabulous… knowledgeable and funny. We learned so much about the island and we’ve been there many times before.

I had the opportunity to ride one of the St. Simons Trolleys as part of a wedding party. Yes, these trolleys are not only available for regular island tours, but for private party transportation as well. The trolley transported us from the site of the wedding to the site of the reception. There were 14 in the wedding party plus bride, groom, and photographers. We had plenty of room inside the trolley.
It was a refurbished, classic style, 1930s trolley — just like the one on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, except instead of a red trolley, it was green and light khaki colored. It was open air and there was not a bad seat on board. Some fun places to sit were in the back and front of the trolley. The back of the trolley was mostly outdoors. The front of the trolley had large bench style seating, presumably designed with handicap folks in mind, but it was also the perfect spot for the bride and groom (ample space for the bride’s elegant dress).
No matter where we sat, we had great views of the island. The breeze that blew through the windows and doors was refreshing. The driver showed up to the wedding site early and waited for us. He then safely and promptly drove us to the reception site. The trolley was a lot of fun partially because of the onlookers and people who waved at us on the way to the reception site.
The trolley also proved to be a nice spot for additional photographs of the big day. If you are having a wedding or special group event on St. Simons Island, I highly recommend checking these trolleys out.
