Decent ice cream. The banana walnut was a solid 5 stars. Peppermint was good, but only 4 star good, as was the coffee Oreo. We will be back!

Worst ice cream We’ve ever had. My husband and I shared a large 3 scoop ice cream on a cool June night. It was already melting by the time we got it from the server. The Snickers was just a vanilla-based ice cream with only a little bit of snickers bits in it. The Chocolate almond DIDNTEVENTASTELIKECHOCOLATE. With your eyes closed you couldn’t tell you were eating a chocolate-based ice cream, it was that weak. Very few almonds although they were whole ones. The Hood ice cream cups you get in a supermarket had more flavor than this. Strawberry cheesecake was the most flavorful but had no cheesecake bits that we had assumed it contained. Portions are generous but what’s the point if it’s not good. Waffle cone was ok.

I recommend the homemade ice cream over the soft serve when it comes to this place. The soft serve was off but the homemade ice cream was delicious. We stopped in twice will in town for an extended weekend. The Chocolate peanut butter cup was very good!

Just wanted to say I walked up to order. Waited a minute staring at the back of a young lady. Decided I wouldn’t interrupt the texting going on since she wasn’t even aware I was there. Disappointing.

I like coming to Salem much better than going to Dracut for ice cream. You get a good heavy scoop vas it’s fresh made by them and not Richardson’s which is a great thing. Try the peanut butter fix good creation. It’s a great place to go if you are up in Salem, NH

Ice cream melted all over hands between pick up window and walking to the car. So clearly it wasn’t cold enough. Flavor of the soft serve was that of whipped air. So not of a good quality. Overall I was very disappointed.

A rainy afternoon so no lines … yay! A kiddie coffee brownie in a sugar cone and maple walnut in a cup for my friend. Each $ 3.95 including tax, generous ingredients(both brownies and walnuts) and portions. Creamy and delicious … we’ll be back!

Got a chocolate dipped waffle cone of mint oreo, the cone was cracked down the side. I might not have cared so much except that this is the SECOND time this summer this happened. The last time the teenage«manager» let me know that sometimes that just happens… gave the attitude that he really didn’t care. I’m just not sure why I pay extra for a specialty cone and then get a broken cone. The ice cream isn’t anything special and clearly quality control is not important.

After driving by this place oh-so-many times, we finally decided to give it a sample. As EVERYONE has mentioned, servings are enormous. Seriously, if you don’t want to take some home just go with a kiddie size. And even if you do plan to take some home, kiddie might be enough for you. My wife and I split a small and we still ended up tossing a bit(we weren’t headed straight home) even though I am a huge ice-cream fan. Unfortunately, I only gave it three stars(hey, that’s not bad!) because of how amazing Ricardson’s is. We made sure to try«purple cow»(our favorite) at both places to compare, and Richardson’s is leaps and bounds better. Creamier, more chocolate, etc. Honestly, I’d just as soon go grab a couple of pints of Ben & Jerry’s and call it a day. Now don’t get me wrong, for the area this is great. And the comparison I am making may not even be a terribly fair one since Richardson’s is about 30 miles away, but it is what it is. We may be back, when we don’t want to make the drive and the hankering for ice cream is just too strong.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the portions are huge– I am a serious ice cream eater, but I ended up saving the remainder of my «kiddie» size(which I believe cost $ 3.90) for the next day). The sign says the ice cream is homemade, and it certainly tasted yummy; between my friends and I, we had chocolate soft serve, cookie dough, and moose tracks– all of which were delicious! The seating area, which is right on 28, is not hugely atmospheric, but there are plenty of tables, and the parking lot in the back is very convenient. I will definitely return for more ice cream as it gets warmer, and I want to try their frappes and sundaes.

Great homemade ice cream. Prices are a little high for ice cream, but portions are on the big size. I have tried almond joy, peanut butter fix, M&M, and oreo so far… everything tasted great! I am looking forward to going back and trying more flavors.

Nice new building. Not sure why they put stairs facing 28 and then block it off with a gate. Very good ice cream. Prices are a touch high, but portions are very large. Definitely in need of more outdoor seating.

This place may become my favorite ice cream destination in Salem. Everything is homemade and my ice cream was delicious(mocha chip). The portions are huge! And though it is a little pricey, like all ice cream places these days, you are definitely getting your moneys worth here.

This place has all things ice cream! Banana splits, sundaes, and cones, all made with home made ice cream. They also have yogurt and Italian ice as well. Jakes Wayback Burgers is adjacent to this.
