Hole in the wall. Pizza marginal quality. But the people are nice.

Well, they’re quite busy at 4:30 on a Tuesday, so they must be doing something right. I’m a pizza snob who grew up next to Old Forge, Pennsylvania, so I’m hard to please. At home I’d give them two stars, but for a national average I’d say three is fair. I ordered a large pizza, went to the men’s room, and came out to find it ready. The cook gave me a pie that was ready for delivery since the delivery guy wasn’t back yet. That’s smart thinking. The pizza itself was so-so. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but not bad. You may want to ask for light sauce; they seem to put it on pretty heavy. The cheese was ok, nothing special. The crust was disappointing. The part on the edge was golden and crispy looking, but the crust under was not at all crisp and it was just bland. If I were at a party and it was free I’d eat it again, but I’d never pay for it again.

Their pizza is absolutely delicious! I tried their Florentine specialty pizza. Their meatball sub was very meaty and well seasoned. There isn’t a good selection of drinks. Just Coca-cola products. What about brewed iced tea or real lemonade? I didn’t notice if they carry beer. If not, c’mon beer and pizza! There is seating — booth style so that’s a huge plus. The bathrooms were alright but they could be cleaned a bit more. I mean I don’t go out to a pizzeria to stuff my pizza pie hole to then sit on their throne, but I do want to feel like I won’t get diseased after a quick«pizza break.» Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I also love how they wear Boston sports teams as part of their workplace dress code. Also, how can you have Greek salad on your menu and NOT have Gyros?! I was really in the mood for one. I highly suggest adding that to your menu!

5 stars for the Chicken BLT sub. 3 stars for the Eggplant Parm sub(WAYYYYY too much breading and not enough sauce. Got sick of it after a few bites). and the Teriyaki Beef sub(beef was dry and the flavor’s a bit one dimensional). 2 stars for the pizza. The sauce is too sweet for my liking, and there’s barely any cheese on the pizza. Not a fan of their pizzas at all. So the only reason why I come here is for the CBLT. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t done so already. It’s relatively cheap too– $ 11 for an 18″ sub.(I’m not sure how much the small one is, as I’ve never taken notice ha), which can last you two meals. And it’s delicious hot. or cold. as lunch. dinner. or a midnight snack.

Really awesome pizza. North Andover outdoor seating is great, usually just get take out when I order from Salem location. I love their white pizza with garlic and herbs. They do a good job and are friendly. Prices are reasonable.

On Wednesday, 6÷17÷2015, I called from my car to get an order to go. The girl who answered the phone asked me to wait. Now, it takes me 15 minutes to get from my home to the restaurant. She kept me on «hold»(which was really putting the phone down on the counter) for 12 of those minutes, while she talked, laughed and giggled with other workers. I know it was other workers because when I got there I asked if they were busy and a gentleman there who was filling the soda coolers said he was doing it «before it got busy». So this little high school girl, who is the customer facing member of the team is making me feel they don’t care about their customers. She’s just there, getting her hourly wage and not caring about the quality(or lack of quality) she brings to your customers. When I walked in she asked me if I had called in and I told her my name. Like a robot she immediately started to look on the shelf for my order until I reminded her that I was the person she had spoken to only 3 minutes ago. If you folks can’t hire capable people, then you need to lock the doors because the staff you have right now is killing your business.

Called in for a steak bomb and they said 10 minutes. It’s now been 35 and I’ve been standing in front of the counter for 25 minutes with two other customers who ordered after me and received their sandwiches earlier, and they’re telling me «it’s coming off the grill soon». Absolutely garbage service, I had to leave as I was on a lunch break. Didn’t even get my money back. Simply inattentive, disorganized employees.

I literally just got off the phone with the nasty manager of the salem location. I called about ½ hour ago to double check that they deliver to my house which is also in salem but down 111. The high school girl I talked to assured me that they DO in fact deliver to my house, which I said the address twice. We looked over the menu to order, called back and was told by the same girl that they DONT deliver to our house. It’s our anniversary and I was(still am) upset. I asked to talk to the manager who could have cared less. He said Main Street is their cut off, maybe that should be specified on their website. I told the manager I was going to write a nasty review on Unilocal to which he asked me to make sure it was«accurate» and state that«the high school girl made a mistake». Well mistake or not, I am extremely disappointed that they could have cared less after THEIR mistake. They didn’t do anything to make the situation any better. The icing on the cake??? He sarcasticly told me «okay then, happy anniversary» and hung up on me. To the owner: is that accurate enough for you??? You’re an ass. You will not get my business ever again and I’ll be sure to spread the word about your nasty treatment towards your customer. It seems I’m not the only one who is disappointed with the service in the salem location, good luck with that!

Ya know, the food’s really good, but the way it’s put together, more often than not, is piss-poor. If you get a sandwich on Syrian with chicken or steak, you want the meat THROUGHOUT the damn sandwich… not all piled on top. A BLT shouldn’t have the bacon just on top then nothing but veggies through the entire rest of the sandwich. And don’t ever take a pizza to go, cuz you’ll have nothing but a soggy mess. Come on, management, open your eyes and stop letting these lazy kids ruin your reputation!

Usually love the pizza here, in fact I once claimed it was my favorite pizza in New England. But for the second time in a row I’ve brought home cold undercooked pizza that needs 10 more minutes in my oven. Make sure you asked for it to be well done or they will forget to cook it all the way for you. Great flavor, but come on. You said twenty minutes so why was it in the box on the shelf when I got there 15 mins later?

Stachey’s is a favorite of ours already but tonight they went above and beyond in the customer service department. Our entire family is waiting at the bedside of a very ill loved one and Stachey’s was willing to make a delivery to us despite the fact that we missed the cutoff for delivery orders. We appreciate your kindness and love your pizza!

This has gotta be the most filthy establishment. The food is Okay, but I cannot get over the food and dirt all over the floor. I understand all restaurants get dirty, but at least clean it up and hide it from customers.

I ordered a 9-person delivery for a business meeting. I had the chicken fajita sub. What was on it? Chicken only. IE — bread and chicken. Someone else ordered the chicken salad sub. What was on it? Deep fried chicken only. IE: bread and deep fried chicken. Everyone else was OK with their order aside from no condiments being included in the delivery. No mayo. No Mustard. Nothing. I took my Chicken Fajita sub(sans Fajita) and threw it in the fridge to bring home tonight to maybe chop and mix into a pathetic dinner for later. To satisfy my lunch, seeing how I didn’t have anything, I walked around the office and begged like a common peasant.

A little shocked actually because usually they provide a pretty healthy size meal however this time I spent $ 14.95 for a steak tip dinner that was very chinsey for the price. Still tasted pretty good but most likely will not get again.

I was in methuen baby sitting for my nieces and nephew and thought I’d treat them to dinner I ordered 2 pizzas a sub some whoopie pies and a coke and was quoted 30 minutes GREAT I can distract 4 hungry(post sports) kids for ½ an hour… Well 55 minutes later when it FINALLY got here I have to say that I was disappointed that if you’re paying by cc they ask for the tip amount up front — it certainly wouldn’t have been as good as it was! Now onto the food; the kids loved their pizza(duh) but I thought the sub was below par I think the go for size over quality and I, for one, would rather have good food over enormous meh food. I ended up throwing out more than half of it.

Felt like pizza after shopping, so we stopped in here. Didn’t order ahead, but had a fresh pizza ready in about fifteen minutes. For the pizza, we got a large Flortenine. We had never been to stachey’s, so we ordered a large(just the two of us) because pizzas vary in size, even when the size is printed next to it. Anyway, we have enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow. Granted, we also got a greek salad, and the wife was feeling like the buffalo chicken. I thought the greek salad was fine, nothing terribly special, but ingredients were clearly fresh, which is a good thing. Wife thought the buffalo chicken was on the greasy side; we have seen buffalo chicken served grilled or fired, this was clearly breaded and fried. I am not one to enjoy crust(I usually leave it), but Stachey’s passes my test. Not too thick, but not so thin that it become a cracker. And there are some lovely«well done» brown/black parts. That is the perfect pizza crust for me. Being that we live in the area now, we will surely be back.

Pizzas, subs, salads galore! I love that their food comes in heaping servings to share, not to mention they always have good-looking people at the register. Everything is made to order and their prices are super reasonable for passersby of the strip mall that Stachey’s is located at. I am a firm believer that Stachey’s beats out The Upper Crust in flavor(and employer practices). Will I be back? You betcha!
