Del Taco

Stopped off here on our way home from Tehachapi since there’s a «play area» & the kids were going nuts after such a long drive. Walked into the kids area and was completely disgusted. The equipment was dirty and falling apart and the edge of the play area looked like it had never been cleaned. Didn’t have the heart to tell my kids we were leaving. They played for a bit but now I feel like my kids need to be sanitized. Guess we’ll be looking for a different place next time we do this drive.

Really slow service. the cashier spent more time on drive thru. after 5 min of waiting she finally acknowledge me and told me to wait. really? So sad. cause it took another 5 min of waiting inside the store with noone in the store ahead of me or behind me. the food was good, but bad service. oh and it took along time to get my food too.

I eat here way to much. The food is better here at night. I have gained weight from this place. I like the turkey stuff the best. Its way better than taco bell. It makes me have the worst smelling farts

This Del Taco is hella good! We come here late night and grub! Always delicious!

I like Del Taco’s menu. They have good options are reasonable prices and, while they’re not exactly healthy, they’re not the worst. Taco Bell, however, may be more healthy because of all the oatmeal they have in their taco meat.
I tried the Veggie Fresca Bowl, hoping that it was a lot like the various burrito bowls I’ve had on the east coast. If you have never been to Chipotle, the Fresca Bowls will be similar to Chipotle’s bowls, except that you are given option-​after-​option to build your Chipotle bowl and Del Taco has a certain way to make theirs.
I was quite pleased with the result, especially at $ 4.00. Had I been at one of the places in the eastern half of the country (including Chipotle), the prices would have been $ 5.99 to $ 6.99. I asked about adding taco meat to the veggie bowl, which was a possibility at extra cost.
The service at this location was good, although there is a healthy dip and scrape getting into the group of restaurants along Salida Blvd.
Update 2014.11.10: I tried the Veggie Bowl again but with taco meat this time, for an extra $ 0.60 and some taco sauce. It reminded me of Chipotle-​like burrito bowls.

I love Del Taco and their food and this location is very close to my house. I have been going there for 7+ years and it seems like they always mess up somehow. One time, I went twice in one week, one day after another, and they forgot to put certain items I paid for in the bag, to go, both times. There have been beyond a reasonable amount of mistakes from this location. I’ve had missing food from my drive thru order. I’ve asked for sauce at the intercom, then at the window & was reassured the sauce was there. Then I get home & there’s no sauce. There’s been more than a handful of times when my order has been completely wrong. I know for a fact it is the staff that is the problem. The manager is great at working things out but it’s a reoccurring problem with this location. In specific, one older female staff member seems to always mess up. Either they need to review their staff & educate them OR hire new employees completely.
The food is great here! I like going here over Taco Bell. The food tastes more fresh and authentic than Taco Bell (obviously)! The chicken soft taco, del classic chicken burrito and ½ bean and cheese burrito are a person favorite! I tried the new pollo bowls was quite disappointed. The chicken tasted smily and gooey which was absolutely disgusting! The rice was completely bland. After eating the pollo bowl, I felt sick. I think I’ll just stick to my regular favorites. As far as drinks, I do not enjoy milkshakes. I have tried milkshakes from In & Out and ice cream parlors and have never liked them. Del Taco has the best strawberry milkshake I have ever had! They actually put real strawberries in it which makes it taste even more incredible!

Lots of lower scores, so either I’m easily impressed, or by virtue of having to drive an hour to the nearest Del Taco, I appreciate the finer aspects of this guilty pleasure.
‘Cuz really, how many places can I get a quesadilla, a burger and fries, and mac ‘n cheese in one place? Exactly.
It was a slow Friday afternoon inside, just the manager with two new trainees in a corner, a fairly quick service at the counter, and some unruly kids in the play area — can’t win ‘em all.

Ate here with hubby to try Del Taco and see what it’s about. It’s definitely better than Taco Bell. The prices were good, food was tasty and I noticed 24hrs! Now if only there was one in Tracy…

Okay phuck no, don’t even think about eating here. Today on my way to Modesto; I ordered a number 3 medium combo, paid the cashier and waited. While I was waiting I noticed the manager monica garcia pick up (I believe the first name is monica and assuming managers wear a white shirt with embrodered name) then she proceeded to prepare boxes for the togo order. I am guessing the cashier/​drive through person handles money and the manager handles the food for drive through. Garcia didn’t even wash her hands. I told her to wash her hands and reacted as if this is some new rule of sanitary food handling. She disappeared out of line of sight; and I told the cashier to handle my order.
Because Garcia was out of line of sight I don’t even know if she washed her hands or actually foundled my order. So I drove away figuring perhaps I could return my order after my appointment. Later on my way back I noticed I didn’t have a
intermingled in my change or in the bag with the order.
Now I am phucked out of 7.59. Okay moral of the story if you don’t mind unsnaitary food practices this may be the place to consult your attorney about after you leave the hospital.
Goodbye shit in the taco! FU4EVR. The order now resides in the garbage at the Wendys restaurant in Manteca.

Okay, seriously, do not go to this Del Taco. Went there for a quick bite today at lunch and used the drive thru. The woman at the drive thru took my cc and I watched her as she ran it thru the machine by the cash register at the counter inside the restuarant. She then left it there on the counter and walked away!!! There were several people standing there at the time. I called her back to the window and asked what the heck?! You must be done bc u left my cc at the front counter! She replies, «uh no». «Well guess what u r now». She then goes and finishes the transaction and returns my cc! Really?! Okay, someone forgot to pass out «Cashiering for Dummies» at this location. Never again.

Ok this place is a little better than The Bell place. At least the beef has some flavor and the service is with a smile. Thought the portions were bigger than the Bell.
