I will come here over panda express any day. First of all they are suuuper friendly. And don’t put food on ur plate than take it off like panda. like giving u the illusion u got a serving bigger than enough to feed a toddler… but wait nope they scooped out half of it … I find China ones food flavorful. So yes I like it, my kids like it and well there u have it!

The best thing this place has going for it is that it delivers. Use cash– trust me on this one. They don’t know how to use the credit card machine and there is a significant language barrier. Food was decent but not spectacular.

Decided to get some food delivered from here since I was stuck in bed with the flu.
Ordered:
— Wor Won Ton Soup
— Orange Chicken
— Fried Wonton
— Hunan Beef
In the words of my son: This is probably the worst chinese food I have had. The food was bland and when it did have flavor it wasn’t a considerably good one. The taste was either burnt, tacky, or greasy. Sometimes there was burnt, stiff pieces of food that wasn’t easy on the way down.
Minimum purchase for delivery is $ 25, plus a $ 5 delivery charge. Took an hour for the order to be delivered.
Our stomachs are still gurgling. Will not be ordering from here again.

Kung pao chicken was good. They’re snow peas were pretty good. And they gave us some egg rolls. Nice.

Loved The Broccoli Beef But The Chow Mein Tasted Like Nothing. It Was Bland. It Was Greasy Also. The Kom Pao Chicken Isn’t That Bad, But I Recommend Going To Chef Lee For Better Quality

The food here is just not up to par with other Chinese Resteraunts in Salinas. The food is not horrible but I just can’t recommend this place. I’ve been there a few times trying different basic dishes and all were a swing and a miss for me. Nice and clean earns a star and very friendly staff earns another star.

I’m sorry to say this had to be the worst Chinese food I’ve ever consumed outside of the Bay Area. Food is greasy and non-​appetizing. Yes, it is cheap; but you get what you pay for. Should’ve gone to the Subway next door.

For the price it was disappointing, I’ve had waaay better, just though because they were so close to my house and because of the other reviews on here, I’d give them a shot. The rice was undercooked and had no other ingredients except for shrimp. The same thing with the lo-​mein. Won’t be going back.

I put in an online delivery order and it took 1 hour and 50 minutes to come. I was told for 40 minutes the driver was on his way 3 times. I cancelled my order at that point because I was concerned the food might have been sitting around way too long. I won’t be ordering from here. Initial order placed at 12:30 and delivery guy called at 2:20. I don’t think so. I would have made other lunch arrangements had I known there was an almost 2 hour wait. The estimated time said 45 – 60. Even when I called the restaurant to inquire after an hour I was hung up on.

I went in not expecting much. The chow mien is good and when I told them I don’t eat meat they fixed up some taste steamed veggies. I have left over for dinner too.

The owners here are so nice! I love that, and the place is usually on the empty side so I can get my order in n food out pretty fast. Other than good service, they have pretty good chinese food. Price is great in my book for the big portions. I had their mushroom chicken today and its definitely my new favorite! The fried rice in my opinion isnt really good, but everything else ive tried has been satisfying!

When I’m in the mood for Chinese food. This is the place I come to.
The staff always has a smile on their face and happy to see you. Great price and you get your moneys worth.
You can’t go wrong with anything there.

I’ve been here three times.
The first time was because my friends and I were craving Crab Rangoons and this was the first place we thought to try. It took a while for them to fry the rangoon, but at least we knew they were fresh.
The second time was because my friends and I enjoyed their rangoon and decided to try out their other food. We came here during our lunch and it wasn’t busy at all. They have a lunch special for $ 6 that provides a lot of food.
The third time I came to get some grilled dumplings and my friend ordered the lunch special.
Every single time the food was great. Their dumplings are delicious. The first time i came in they gave me a sample of their sesame chicken and I have loved it since.

I had a cold a while ago and I knew the cure would be spicy Chinese food. There is a restaurant down the street but quoted an OUTRAGEOUS delivery fee, especially for a self-​timed 5 minute drive. Although they were a ways away, I decided to give China 1 a try.
Winner! I had the Kung Pao Chicken (first time having it) and Mongolian beef. Delicious! The vegetables were fresh and firm. Very saucy. And SPICY. My sinuses were so grateful. Even though they are on Natividad, the quick delivery had me thinking that they had cooked the food in the car.
The only complaint, and its a small one, is that on their website menu, it had the pepper icon on the bottom to show which plates were spicy, but the icons weren’t anywhere near the menu items. I had to keep asking if my choices would be spicy. If they fix that, my rating would be a bit higher.
I will most definitely choose them again.

Service was amazing, quick and curteous. Price was very good for this area, and they deliver! I ended up picking up from them but next time may get delivery. I have to say that me and my girlfriend were a little disappointed in the quality of the food. Everything was sitting in containers being heated. the drive home is hardly 5 minutes and everything tasted like it had been sitting in the container for ages. Seemed to be prepared quick and without a lot of love.
Maybe I should go back when it isn’t as late as I did, will change the review if I do.

Prompt delivery! I order, hang up and before you know it the delivery guy is knocking at my door with a big smile. His english is terrible, and he understands nothing I say, but he is very friendly and prompt.
Reasonably priced, and less expensive then Eagle and China Star. Large containers, that can be placed in the microwave (opposed to the containers with metal handles). Free egg rolls are always included with my order.
Chow Mein and Fried Rice is delicious and packed with plenty of meat and vegetables. All the poultry, seafood and meat dishes have yet to dissapoint. One of my favories is the Kung Pao Chicken.

I first heard about this place when I got a little paper advertisement on the door of my house. I tried to see if it was any good and I was blown away. The people who service you are so kind and generous! They are always happy to help and give you samples. And, if they make fresh orders of food if you need it for a party or a get-​together. The food I love because it tastes more authentic and unique than most other Chinese restaurants. Most Chinese food places now seem to be following the same recipe as everyone else. China 1, however, follows their own delicious recipe! Their food is great tasting and everything their looks so good to me. I usually get the chow mein with orange chicken, kung pao chicken, butter shrimp, teriyaki chicken, meat balls, or beef with broccoli. It’s all so good and they let you choose 3 entrees instead of the usual 2 entrees at other chinese food restaurants.
After trying out so many different Chinese food places these last two years, China 1 has been my top pick. The people working there are amazingly willing to help you and always glad to have customers. The food is really delicious. I still try out other new Chinese restaurants throughout California, but so far, no Chinese food experience has been as satisfying as the one I got at China 1. Did I mention that they deliver?!

Service is always outstanding and the price is right!!!
Dinner is only $ 6.99 for a 3 selection combo with fried rice or chow mein.
I always get the chow mein with their orange chicken, beef and broccoli and then mix it up between either egg rolls or teriyaki chicken.
Do stop here if u want quick, good Chinese takeout!
