El Pollo Loco

For being a fast food type of restaurant. This place is excellent. Customer service is always really good. The managers are always very friendly, and the food taste really fresh. Plus They always keep the place clean. Five stars all the way. I like this one better than the other location. Me and my fiancé always come here for lunch or dinner.

I enjoy this restaurant so much. I usually go on my lunch hour. The food is delicious and fresh and customer service is stellar! Isaac, welcomes me and even remembers my name which makes me feel like an important customer. I highly recommend this restaurant :)

I used to frequent this location and generally speaking, no problems but… whole different crew today. None of them knew what sauce came in the shrimp avocado taco. I said poblano sauce was on the menu. I was told we don’t do that anymore. (It is a new item). Then another employee said they ran out of that sauce, another employee said it is the creamy cilantro on those tacos and I said that’s not what the menu states. Then a manager came to tell me the «OTHER» manager forgot to order the sauce. I’m sooo confused. and after all that and not getting the same item the same way as I had purchased yesterday at the Davis st location, and not being told when I ordered that they were substituting poblano with creamy cilantro, I left, came back to work and gave my co-​worker her order. She made me taste the sprite. it was soda water. I had complained to the manager on duty when i was there but all she did was say I’m sorry
But… when I called to advise the soda was bad too and thaI was disappointed in this whole visit the manager, Myra, said she would issue a refund or replace the order. Now that was how it should of been handled originally. I’m glad I called…

These people can’t ever get the drive thru orders correct. They seem to almost always forget my salsa and my girlfriend’s salad dressing. After many chances, we’ve given up. Too bad because we like the food but not the headache that comes along with it.

My crispy taco was lousy. The drive through took forever and rude I will never return.

Only Pollo Loco in Salinas/​Monterey radius. Of course I’m excited! I have to drive 30 minutes to get here. Luckily school is nearby so I can grab lunch quick. Did I say I’m happy? Oh yes. Chicken tostada salad ‘mmm yes please! There’s a drive thru and quick service.

I just had their new pork quesadilla today for lunch. It was horrible! The pork tasted dry and overcooked. The sauce was overly spicy. I have had this quesadilla recently at an El Pollo Loco in the San Jose and it was so much better then the one I had today. I was very disappointed!
Pros:
–Like all El Pollo Loco restaurants– the chicken is consistently tasty and fresh
–Recently been remodeled in 2015
Cons:
–Pork (when they have it) can be over cooked

First I must say generally I LOVE El Pollo Loco… but this one sucks. They are out of chicken, make you wait in the drive thru forever and are just rude. I called the EPL number to tell them they need to help these folks… to no avail. Today went in they asked like 6 times would you like salsa… yes…the spicy avacado please… lots…evidently lots is one! Will not be going back which is too bad cause I’m here for business a lot! :(
