Odered the tacos al pastor, carnitas and tripas… all were very tasty. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that was really poor was the cleanliness of the restaurant, not one clean table in the place even the garbage container was disgustingly filthy. Don’t think I will be back. I know or hope not all Salinas taco restaurants are as dirty as this one.

Some of the best food Ive had anywhere. Tried the civiche & shrimp tostadas and they were delicious! Civiche was fantastic! Also had a quesadilla w/avocado and it was made to perfection. Friend had the veggie burrito and loved it, he said it was the vest tasting burrito he ever had! Price can’t be better. Service is super friendly. This place is perfection :)

This is our«go-to» place when we drive from Home to Santa Barbara or in the other direction. We always order the carne asade tacos and they are delicious. The flavor is so so good, Location is kinda creepy, but so what? It is right off the freeway and you can meet some interesting people who agree that this is the best truck taco around. If you are on highway 101 going south of San Jose or going north from Santa Barbara or if you are coming back from Monterey for the weekend, you just gotta stop here.

Wow, I am impressed. Great tacos for about $ 1.25 each. I drive past this truck on my way to In-n-Out Burger for the last few years and never really paid any attention to it. I stopped in last weekend to see how good it was since the line at the burger place was out and down the street. I ordered four carne asada tacos and they were awesome. Just like I used to have them in Southern California. The meat was crispy and juicy and the salsa made it ideally perfect. I also ordered a shrimp tostada that came with generous amount of shrimp, tomato and cucumber. The menu is straight forward and simple and hope to be back to this spot on truck in the next few weeks.

Gotta say the truck beats put their restaurant any day. Solid tacos! I judge a taco spot by las tripas and they serve them both crispy and tender with a lot of flavor. Their seafood is alright but u got a mariscos truck a few blocks down. Service is as it should b with a truck. To the point only enough talk to blow off a little steam while they relate.

Wow was this truck a gamble and a winning one at that. Quesadilla… good. Ceviche tostada… good. Carne asada tacos… good. Pastor taco… good. Meat was perfect… tortilla texture was perfect. Great little roadside snack. And by the way no emergency toilet visits for any of us so you know it was all good.

This taco truck has a steady stream of customers from diverse backgrounds– construction, administrative, english-only, spanish-only speakers. These are good signs in terms of taste and freshness. Never visit a taco truck with no customers; product turnover is essential. They treat pigs very well here. Carnitas are juicy without being overly fatty. Buche(stomach) is braised and seasoned superbly. Tripas(intestine) are also braised, but then broiled, coming out crackling-crispy, but juicy, too. Salsa: both of them are great. The green salsa was quite unexpected; it has lots of pureed cilantro, which makes it a deeper green, less watery and more chimichurri-like, and that is a winner for me. These go especially well on carnitas. Tacos come with grilled onions and jalapeño, and these are wonderful additions to any taco. There’s always quick-pickled carrots, cilantro, onions, and two salsas to add at your leisure.

I’ve never been a huge fan of taco trucks and always had some unsubstantiated reservations about them. I used to pass by them everyday on my way walking back home from high school after track or cross-country practice and would sometimes get a taco when I couldn’t hold out until dinner. This particular taco truck, located near the corner of Kern and Roosevelt across from the seedy-looking Aloha Motel, has changed my tune about these little taquerias on wheels. The carne asada and pollo tacos with the assortment of salsas were awesome! Priced at just over a dollar a piece, I’d rather suffer from TNS(«taco neck syndrome» for those who remember the commercials with Shaq) because of one these tacos over anything from Taco Bell any day.
