Best Tacos in Salinas! The tacos here are amazing good. As are their sopes. Something about that crispy(what would you call it ??? tortilla/tostada) very delicious. For me you can’t get any better tripa tacos. They crisp them up just right not soggy and mushy. The pastor is done right… none of that pineapple sh**. Carnitas are very delectable as is the chicken and the lengua has very minimal fat witch is a very good thing. Los tacos de cabesa however lack in flavor. Overall tacos are pricey but worth in flavor. They used to hook it up with pickled carrots, sauteed onions and a grilled jalapeño but now they’ve become stingy and only give you a few carrots, onions and no jalapeño. If you want more pickled carrots there’s a chump change fee of I think .25 cents. I’ve Never had the platillos here so I can’t rate… Chabelas are decent; nothing to rave about but they are good. The service at the drive through needs some happy classes because shes seems mad at the world. Doesn’t really know how to take an order nor meet and greet. Hi how are you how may I help you kind of way. The restaurant is a bit on the messy side but I believe it’s due to the amount of traffic going in and out of the restaurant. They get very busy…(This should not be an excuse for uncleanliness).

Going through Salinas on our way to San Jose. Unilocaled late night dining. This restaurant came up, reviews looked good. The food is tasty, however the place is VERY dirty. Had the sopes. Will not be returning.

Best breakfast burrito and tacos. Every time I come back to visit my folks in East Salinas from Florida, I make it a point to eat here! It can get busy sometimes and you’ll have to wait a little while, but it’s worth the wait. The pickled carrots are a great compliment to the food.

great food! horrible service… Drive thru service is ridiculous as well. Repeated my order 5x to only come to the window to be asked again… And finally only end up with half of what I ordered… This has happened multiple times. I believe last night was my last night there.

So, I really REALLY like their chicken sopes(its a small & bulky tortilla/tostada type and they top it with chicken and lettuce, cheese and sour cream and salsa) as well as their breakfast burritos which they never have ready because not a lot of people know they do breakfast, so they’re always made fresh(giant tortilla w/eggs, chorizo & potato). Make sure you ask for the green salsa and their jalapenos and carrots are super zesty and yummy with your food!

Everything was fine until I saw a cockroach scurry across the floor in my direction. I’ve been coming here for years and never had a problem. Or maybe I never looked as carefully. Yeah the flavor tastes good and the salsa is bomb, but is it worth eating amongst roaches? I’m cool dude. The inside of the restaurant is dirty and the customer service is ridiculous. If this was LA, this restaurant would have a big fat C grade from the Dept of Health. Pass!

One of the tops for tacos in Salinas. All trucks and locations crank out delicious menu items. There is a good chance that you will be waiting in line here at 10 o’clock on weeknight. The tacos, burritos, quesadillas. Shrimp options, sopes, and salsas are all delicious. Ask for a side of the salsa verde. Crunchy carrots are a nice addition to every plate. The camarones ala diabla are fantastic here too.

Great tacos and burritos my personal favorite are the tacos de tripas. Great salsas. Love that they give you a side of pickled carrots with every order. Service is good and I absolutely love that they have a drive thru. They also have the best aguas frescas like Horchata, Jamaica, and Tamarindo. The place could be kept a little cleaner but it is a very busy taqueria.

I experienced their fantastic food at the Veterans Memorial Baseball Park in Hollister. They run the snack shack. Soooo good. Their tacos and sauces are superb. They take great pride in their food and it shows. So much flavor. I can’t wait to visit the main restaurant.

This place is not too clean. I watched a little roach crawling around the service counter while I waited to place my order. Food was ok.

Ever have that late night craving for tacos but don’t know where to go? Look no further! This place has amazing carne asada tacos and really good horchata as well. My sister got the carne asada burrito and it was bursting with cheese. Truly recommend this place! And don’t forget to get their green salsa! Yum!

I know it’s in East Salinas, relax everyone! For my non Mexican friends, it a small culture shock, but for me, this place is legit ha. The tacos are pretty small. I recommend 4 minimum, but they’re packed with flavor. Make sure you get everything on them. I get tacos de asada because I’m American Mexican lol, but they do have legit meat like cabeza and lengua. If you’re ever in the area, make sure to give this place a try.

I remember the first time a co-worker took me here to eat lunch. I have to admit I had my doubts, especially with the building having a non operational drive-thru. It seemed a bit sketchy to me but oh how I was wrong. Even though the lady taking my order up front didn’t speak any English, she was able to understand my order and was pleasant about it. Since the first time eating here, I’ve been back a couple of times now. I haven’t ventured into the menu but I can tell you this… the tacos and carne asada burritos are amazing. I usually drench them with the red hot salsa. But anyways, don’t judge a book by its cover and if you don’t speak Spanish don’t worry about it. As long as you can order your food you will be good!

It was lunchtime, I was hungry, I was driving, I didn’t want to take the time to pull over and do research on Unilocal so I decided to take my chances, jump off the freeway and see what indy restaurants I spotted. As it turns out the exit I got off at was pretty industrial and had a mild case of the sketchies, what with an occasional porn store and such. I spotted Tacos El Jaliscience, pretty much the only indy and one of the few restaurants at all. I decided to give them a try. So here’s the thing; every time I go into a restaurant where I don’t speak the language and no one there speaks a language I understand… the food is awesome. My shrimp fajitas were awesome.
