The staff needs to work on there customer service, feels like they are not well oriented. Schedule appointments are very far apart if any available, I’ve been reschedule for my appointment 2 times already the day if my appointment, after i had made so may plans to see them and change my schedule around them.

Went in yesterday at 10:30 am and was out by 11:45 am. I was very nervous going in and the nurse helped me relax. Everyone in the office was doing their job in a professional manner. Once I received sedation, I have no memory of my visit until I got home. I don’t remember anything after the sedation. I preferred it that way. Today my booty isn’t sore nor is my IV site. THEONLYHARDPARTISDRINKINGTHEMOVIPREP! it was a little more tolerable drinking it cold and fast. Dr Carlson and staff: see you in ten years if not sooner!!! Thanks for a clean colon.

I really tried to give this place a fair shake after reading up on it. I had several procedures there. A colonoscopy, endoscopy, and capsule endoscopy. The nurses are pretty good, however the front desk/reception are very disappointing and very unprofessional. There were several mishaps from not following up, to being given the wrong instructions for the pre-care(fasting) before procedures, being put on hold then hung up on after more than 10 minutes to just plain being hung up on. Pretty unacceptable. The only physician I actually was seen by was Dr. Johnson, nice enough but didn’t follow up. At all… Kinda unprofessional, his nurses do everything. Including cancel appointments the day before they are scheduled. Very frustrating. A receptionist called the day before my appointment(to find out results of a procedure) to cancel. When I asked why, she said«the nurse will be out of the office all week»… I then asked why I could not see the Dr. And could he go over my results with me– seemed reasonable!!! The receptionist then said«unfortunately I cannot answer that right now.» Seriously!!! So unprofessional. The only time I called the«on-call» Dr. Was a few days after a procedure. I was experiencing pain so I called to follow up, the Dr. on-call seemed like he could not care less. He made me feel like I was inconveniencing or bothering him and he couldn’t get off the phone sooner. No help. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for your care. The only reason I dealt with this place is because I was moving and this is the only place that accepted my insurance– I just wanted to take care of my health issues ASAP, had I not been relocating I would have probably drove to the Bay Area or Santa Cruz.

The earlier reviewer is spot on. This place doesn’t know what customer service is. Frequent long hold times, never get a call back even when leaving messages. It’s impossible to speak to the Dr. on the phone unless you get him when he’s the after hours on-call. I too have had problems with Yesensia. I have also had some disagreements recently with them about prescription changes(which they didn’t record) and releasing my records to me. They were unwilling to let me be seen by another doctor when my prescription change was not recorded. Dr. Smith who is my doctor was on vacation for two weeks. I ended up waiting three to hear from them, and only did then because I kept calling them. They continued to send the wrong prescription, even after they«fixed» it. Took three additional requests over the course of a week to get it fixed. I think the only reason it got fixed was because I called the on-call and it happened to be Dr. Smith. He was totally unaware that there was anything going on. Needless to say it was fixed the next day… nearly 4 weeks later. No idea when/if my written request for records will be honored. Yesterday they called me asking me to call about my appointment in two and a half weeks. I thought it was odd since usually they only call the day before. When I called the first lady I spoke to had no idea what was going on. She told me the doctor wouldn’t be in that day. I asked to reschedule and she then put me on hold. 8 – 9 minutes later someone else answered that had no clue why I was calling. After finding me and my appointment she told me Dr. Smith has passed away. This is unfortunate news, I did like Dr. Smith just the staff has issues. They were unable/unwilling to reschedule me with one of the other two doctors. I was informed they do not know what they are doing with Dr. Smith’s patients yet and was asked to call back in 1 – 2 weeks. Not trying to be disrespectful but I can’t find anything online in regards to Dr. Smith passing away. I half wonder at this point if they are just frustrated with me and are trying to get rid of me. In the end, if you have other providers under your insurance policy I would start with them. Unfortunately for me I do not. I have only seen Dr. Smith and do like him and appreciate the care he’s provided but his office is just too much to deal with.

Went here in December ’12 for a colonoscopy since it was the only local GI on my insurance plan. It was like a factory setting where I was lying on a guerny next to a man(I’m a woman) with a partially closed curtain between us waiting our turn to go into their one(!) procedure room. The staff is young, rude and inexperienced. The young females here all seem to have the same bad attitude. I also question how much medical experience the staff have or how clean the room/instruments can be in this factory setting! I need follow-up with a GI and I’m going to the SF Bay area for this. I would recommend NOT going here and traveling a bit further for your care.

horrible customer service, do yourself a favor and do not come here. they place you on hold forever, the staff is rude especially yesenia. you would figure the doctors would hire better staff. it is so hard to make an appointment and when they put you on hold they forget who you are.
