We’ve enjoyed Patria for special celebrations and after-​work treats. I like the small tables in the bar area best.

I recently brought my friend, Rose Marie, there for her birthday dinner. Michael, our server, was attentive, courteous and very personable. Told us about the restaurant, owners and the food: he made us feel very special but also took pride in Patria! You don’t find that too often, for sure. Nice ambience and excellent, flavorful food whereby the side dishes really complimented and melded flavors with the entrée. Jaeger Schnietzel was good but the Alaskan blackened cod stood on its own. We had an excellent celebration and enjoyed how the chef’s made us feel important by coming out and mingling with us and the other patrons. What a lovely surprise in Old Town Salinas. There are many treasures there: you just have to look for them! C.J.

This is the go-​to dinner location for my wife and I on our date nights. And for good reason; few places in the Salinas area offer better quality or authenticity. The food is consistently spot-​on and the staff are friendly.
I suggest requesting a table in the bar area, as it is a bit quieter than other locations within the restaurant.

Best dinner I’ve had in salinas. Calamari appetizer was great, loved the aoili dipping sauce. The jäger schnitzel was so good the pork was really crispy and juicy. Loved how it pairs with the red cabbage and house made spatzel. I also tried one of the French sodas which went great with the meal. I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes, the rabbit sounds good.

My Grampa took me here for the first first time. Grampa visits often! Oh my word what a great place. Tina was out angel of a waitress. Grampa had the schnitzel. My husband had the Sphetzel. I had the beet salad. we all cleaned our plates

So glad we decided on dinner here a few nights ago! We sat at a cute booth at the bar and served by a quirky older gentleman who was efficient and made excellent recommendations. I had the salmon wrapped in parchment paper, so much flavor! Highly recommend! My boyfriend had the lasagna, it too was a hit. Can’t go wrong with either. The wine list was nice with many local wineries to choose from. Overall the experience was very nice from a little restaurant in old town Salinas. We will definitely be back.

Just a wonderful Italian experience, you really feel like your in Europe and the service is phenomenal. Food is absolutely amazing, but not cheap (:

My rating isn’t because this is a bad place, but it is an overpriced place. Two of us went there, and we ordered 2 small flat bread pizzas (Gino’s $ 10 each), not bad, not good. just average. And 2 glasses each of their house wine. The bill was $ 95.plus tip.
Wow.Way too much $$ for what we got.

The lasagna, was like a Stoeffers’ — a Stoeffers’ in an alternate reality — where a Stoeffers’ was ridiculously fucking delicious.

Wonderful service, ambience, and overall elite quality food. Went for lunch and had prawn salad, grilled artichoke, double cappuccino and the lemon mousse. It reminded me of a quaint afternoon in Italy.

Been here a few times and each time I tried I different dish. I was very satisfied both times. I have had the filet mignon and the lamb. Food is great, service is great! I will definitely be coming back again. A bit on the pricy end but worth it.

Wow… truly amazing.. we got a lovely table for two and a spectacular server. It is always my test to hand the server back to menu and State you know what is good you order me dinner and please pair it appropriately. Our server Ashton, did not disappoint. We had a spectacular three-​course meal paired appropriately presented to us in the appropriate interval of timing. Truly a wonderful dining experience. I will be back most definitely with my friends and my family thank you so much for making our evening enjoyable. Ashton you are a treasure, I hope they recognize your Superior customer service

I love this place! The décor, the food, the cocktails and the staff. Xavier was very helpful, we decided to sit at the bar which is my preferred seating arrangement. He informed us about items on the menu and btw his bar tending skills are BEYOND! Made a «special» cinnamon sour which he concocted that was super delicious. Oh, and the food was great too can’t forget that. Definitely recommend for someone looking to grab a quick drink and for a nice dinner as well.

Patria is the best restaurant in old town for sure. The food is rich, delicious, and well made. The atmosphere is rustic and beautiful (I love all the clocks) with nice lighting. I’ve been to patria twice and both times I really enjoyed myself. The first time I went I ordered half a chicken with potatoes. I still remember it because it was perfectly moist and very flavorful. It was cooked perfectly. Their mixed drinks are delicious too, and I would go there just for one of those.
Other members of the table ordered the rabbit, and the salmon wrapped in parchment. The salmon was perfectly cooked as well, and was served over delicious wild rice.
By the taste alone I could tell they use high quality local organic ingredients. If you’re looking for a fine meal this is the place for you.
I loved the friendly staff. We had the same waitress both times and she was very nice and was fun to talk to.

I really like this place. The food is great. I like how the food is fresh and never microwaved. This place is a place where you take your girlfriend or side-​chick after a movie.
The food is amazingly good. Had a wide variety of foods from seafood to chicken and vegan.
The service is wonderful. The chef and I think owner is wonderful. They are so nice. They will treat you like their best friends.

Started with grilled shrimp & beet salad on a bed of butter lettuce, pine nuts & goat cheese. Inncredible salmon in puffed pastry with Hollandaise sauce, asparagus & filet with sautéed wild mushrooms

After driving through Salinas for years, we made it an overnight stop and had to find dinner.
We chose Patria from Unilocal and found it to have friendly and very helpful service on top of fresh delicious food.
Patria alone may merit a return visit to the city!

I’m back! And this time with a friend. We were not disappointed! What a beautiful, classy place. European service and quality, exquisite meals. Great, interesting dishes at a reasonable price.
Next time we’re bringing more friends (we all live in Watsonville), but worth the trip!

Patria is by far the best restaurant in Salinas! The interior is very charming and the the waitstaff is professional.
The food is very good, although this time we had pasta dishes (pappardelle with ragu if boar and tagliatelle in carbonara). Both were good, but not excellent. In the past I have had other dishes that really stood out, like the scallops.
We also had the beet salad which was large, filled with beets and grapefruit and very good.
For me, the winner of the evening was the quark cheesecake. It was light, fluffy and all around outstanding! One of the best I have ever had!
I look forward to going back soon!
