Square Broadband

I struggled to find internet access for our ranch property in the hills above Soledad and then I came across Square Broadband. I called them on a Friday… left a v-​mail and received a call back fairly quickly from Marcos who told me he could make the trek from Salinas to our ranch (about 30 miles away) that afternoon! Marcos made the trek up a 5 mile dirt road to our property, found the perfect spot for the dish and then helped run the cable to the inside closet. It took him a while to tune the dish for maximum signal strength but he stuck with it and by the time he was finished I was amazed at: the service, the product, and Marcos! I would recommend these folks in a heartbeat. They do what they say, when they say, and then they over deliver and delight you.

First I am only reviewing based on the service I received while TRYING to become a member.
I called numerous times and was sent to voicemail. I was later emailed about the service and it was just so weird because I just wanted fast internet, and I heard they were amazing… at least based on reviews.
After two emails I never heard back, they asked where I was from (Salinas), and *poof*, gone.
I was super excited about becoming a member since I am a gamer and developer and NEED that extra boost but after this experience I am sticking with the bigger companies.
I think they have a lot of potential if they really do offer what they advertise, but if this is how they are running their business, they are probably missing out on a lot of it.
Best of luck to them and I hope they figure this communication issue out.
UPDATE: They contacted me back a few days later and did everything they could to see if I could use their service, which I couldn’t due to my location. Very professional and I am happy they reached out to me. I heard they were the fastest so I am a bit upset I couldn’t use them.

The fact that Mitrelink offers up to 200 mbps download speeds in the outskirts of Salinas is just ridiculous. This ISP charges very reasonable prices for their unmatched services, and their technical support team is excellent. I made the switch from a satellite internet provider that charged outrageous prices for inferior services. Considering switching your current ISP to a superior service? Look no further than what is local.
