Oh boy, they don’t put enough anything on your sandwich. You have to ask for more every time. One of the employees told me that she got in trouble from the owner because she puts too much stuff on a sandwich. She told me that the owner says only 6 olives on a large sandwich, and just a thin layer of lettuce. I have no choice but to go there, it is the only one anywhere near me. I don’t go often because it has got to be one of the worst Subways. I always have a bad experience here. Last night, well before closing time, I was told they were out of meatballs(way to be prepared). I have to ask for more everything, every time. The employees tell me they are doing what the owner tells them to do. You never get a sandwich that even remotely resembles one of their pictures. What do you expect from a chain that obviously knows they don’t put enough meat on the sandwiches because they actually offer 2 upgrades,(for a price of course) to their sandwiches. It makes me laugh that they know they aren’t putting enough meat, so they tell you on the menu that you can ask for more. Must have had so many people asking to put more meat on, that they figured why not make some money out of it. Would like to see someone open up a real sandwich shop, and force these knuckleheads into giving out a nice product.

These people who own this store should be in another business. It’s apparent that the owners have very low standards when it comes to the quality of the produce that’s used on their sandwiches. Using wilted and slightly brown lettuce is half of the reason I give them 1 star. The reason for the other half of 1 star is do to the lack of a friendly and competent staff. You would be better off going next door to Safeway and buy a sandwich for a little bit more.

The sandwiches are what you’d expect. The service is terrible. Five minutes I waited watching the girl behind the counter texting on her phone while the lone grew. Must be very tough finding good help

Bad service started last summer when they had Pulled Pork. 3 times my wife and I went in and they were out of BBQ sauce. Upon other visits since, customer service not only to us but others we observed was terrible. Wrote twice to Corporate in great detail. Never got a response. Tells me Corporate doesn’t care. We keep going back because we like Subway and if not in Prunedale, we have to drive 10 miles to Salinas. Bad news spreads quickly in a small town and I will tell everyone I know not to go there anymore. This last visit did it for us. No acknowledgement upon coming in. Wife ordered meatball sandwich. You could tell this employee, who we had gotten bad service from before and observed her treating others rudely, didn’t want to wait on anyone. My wife observed only a couple of meatballs were put in the sandwich and two were missing. Asked the girl about it and was told rudely that was how many were supposed to be on it. About 10 seconds later, I questioned her and was told rudely they were out and only one was missing. As we paid, I asked for a discount only because of how rude the girl was. The cashier, another girl, was very friendly. She didn’t know what to do. So I politely asked for the manager, who knew what was going on but was trying to stay out of it. I asked the manager why we didn’t get all the food we paid for. She said they ran out of meatballs.(This is the sandwich on special this month! You think they would keep up on such things.) Kind of like running out of BBQ sauce for three weeks in a row when they were on special. I explained it was good they were selling so much but to tell a customer there is only one missing was unacceptable. She seemed uncaring. So I asked for her district managers name. She then became scared and asked what the issue was. I had used my patience and got stern with her. I said, «I just explained what the issue was. We come in here because we like Subway and don’t mind spending our money as long as we get what we pay for!» «You as manager, need to teach your employees better customer service.» «If this ever happens again I will be contacting your supervisor.» So we waited about 15 minutes while they cooked some more meatballs. During that time, as we sat patiently, the manager walked right by us, leaving with two sandwiches. Never said a word. I guess she was off work and that was it. Finally, the cashier who had been very professional throughout this unneeded mess gave us some meatballs in container. I thanked her and we left. You would think the manager would have been more pro active in keeping this from escalating, maybe apologizing for the bad service but I guess when you’re off work you leave and let the employees handle it. We will be driving to Salinas from now on.

I come here so often for lunch and each time I tell myself that customer service will get better. I’ve held back from reviewing but today I’ve had enough. The lady gave me a rude look when I ordered 2 sandwiches. She threw my sandwiches on to the tray to get toasted. Once I got to adding veggies I requested everything. She was out of avocado and banana peppers and acted as if the world was ending when she had to go to the back and restock. Absolutely ridiculous. Management needs to get this under control. I got to paying and the cashier was the sweetest girl ever. For now you’ve lost me as a customer. Hopefully if I come back again I have a much better experience.

I’ve always had good service here. I even split a sandwich with my daughter and get different things on each side of a 12 inch and they have no problem.

Same sandwich options as every other Subway… but the owner is AWESOME! He is always in a great mood and very happy to help me when I come in(he also franchises the one at Green Valley/Main in Watsonville). Thank you, Raman!

Subway is subway. Not really too much to say besides they had a very friendly service when I went in here. When you are hungry and in a pinch during the morning hours, I enjoy the $ 3 deal where you get a 6 inch sandwich and a coffee or fountain drink.

Subway is Subway so it’s A-OK. Nothing different at this subway than your normal subway. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh, and you get your sandwich quickly. You won’t be disappointed in what you are expecting.

The sandwich maker this evening seemed put out to have to work… I thought at first maybe they were closing up(all the ingredients were covered and there wasn’t a lot of bread in the rack), but the website indicates they are supposed to be open until 10:00PM and this was closer to 6:00. She never greeted me, and never smiled even once. I’d call her out by name, but they don’t seem to wear name tags. To be fair, she did make my order accurately and quickly, and the food itself was very good. I had to ask for peppers, though, even though I said I wanted«everything» on my sandwich. I understand some people may say«everything» and complain about jalapenos, but then the policy maybe ought to be to *ask* about the hot peppers, not omit them and depend on the customer to notice they are missing. I also question the amount of «extra» olives I was given. Another worker came out from the back to ring me up, and she was friendlier(certainly by comparison :-). Decent food, decent price, «service with a smile»? not so much.
