This is a prime location directly on the beach. We reserved a tiny, claustrophobic room and then, upon arrival, upgraded to room 102. It was a run down kitchenette with two full sized beds. there was a coffee maker with no coffee. there were dishes, silverware, pots and pans provided with some watered down dish soap, a sponge and a hand towel. the bathroom tiling was unfinished, leaving exposed wall board around the jet tub. the shower stall was the smallest I have ever seen. there was toilet paper, bath towels, a couple wrapped plastic cups and hotel soaps provided, nothing else. The ocean location is unbelievably beautiful, but the room is surrounded by the narrow shared deck that wraps around the room on all sides. people are hanging out directly in front of the window and the curtains don’t completely seal out the view into the front room where the two beds boarder that front window. upon arrival I was immediately accosted by a woman who insisted that there were in fact lines pained on the parkinglot indicating separate spaces and that I would need to move my car the three inches necessary to respect those empty parking spaces that remained empty throughout the duration of our stay. the television was on the fritz. the front desk operator suggested we wiggle the wires to fix the problem. I ended up doing a complete boot on the xfinity box. that seemed to fix the problem, albeit temporarily… the beds smelled clean. the pillows had been bleached. I appreciate that. the staff was friendly, except the parkinglot natzi. I don’t know if she was a guest, resident, or staff.

You can’t get a much better location on the beach without renting a house. It is a wonderful, small oceanfront hotel with friendly people. The rooms are just what you expect after seeing their website. The one very bad complaint that I have is that the bed was completely unsleepable. There was a visible sag in the middle of both the beds in room 204. They are hard and uncomfortable any way you tried to sleep on them. Luckily a friend came to visit one of the days and brought air mattresses for us to sleep on. This made it bearable for the second night we were there. But it is definitely the worst night sleep I have had so far. I heard that all the beds are not as bad as room 204, but they are not much better either. Keep that in mind if you are coming. There is not much else to do around this run down beach town than sit on the beach and this is a good place to do it. For eats try hobo café for breakfast and Capri for dinner.
