Absolutely kickass shop. The main thing I like about this place is their coffee selection. They not only do their own small batch roasting, but they offer multiple different coffees from a variety of different roasters. Offering multiple roasters is something that I think more specialty shops need to be doing. The space was was a 10⁄10. It has a very modern/minimal aesthetic, and is neither too big or too small. The barista was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about coffee, and he knocked my cappuccino out of the park. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality specialty coffee in SLC.

delicious coffee, and the barista was both helpful and knowledgeable as well as incredibly friendly and upbeat. Very cute ambiance, did I mention delicious beans, and clean, crisp, environment. I look forward to coming back next time I’m in town!

Love/Hate relationship. Their latte’s are the smoothest in town but a handful of the staff can come across as arrogant or unhelpful. Shocker to find that in a hipster coffee shop eh? There are a few of the staff hat are helpful and geek out which I think is more appropriate when paying $ 5.50 for a small latte. Really cool vibe inside. Great pastry treats available as well! Bean selection is great. I use the Ambrosia at home for espresso. Medium, nutty, fruity.

Blue Copper Coffee Room is my favorite coffee shop in Salt Lake City! I have been to almost every coffee shop in town and I have found my place! I would highley reccomend their drip or iced coffee! Their dirt chai and specialty coffee are also excelent. It is not the cheapest coffee in town, but it is not the most expensive either. Well worth the money if you appreciate good coffee.

Stellar. From atmosphere to expertise, this place has it all. We are serious coffee folks, but have moved to rural western Wyoming. Needless to say, we learn a city by exploring coffee, and Blue Copper was a knockout. Clean, minimal, clearly dedicated to the craft of coffee. Our cortados were expertly prepared, and we couldn’t leave without trying out the Alpha Dominche… a steam punk pour over dream machine. Baristas were knowledgable and kind, great conversation and a truly enjoyable experience. We left with gorgeous beans to take home. In short, xoxoxoxoxo. We’ll be back.

This is a small coffee shop but very cozy. Their coffees are amazing; check out their secret menu ;) By car or by trax the location is quite convenient.

Best coffee… super smooth. The place is super rad but no music… makes it feel sterile.

Just give me all the coffee! Blue Copper Coffee Room is a tiny, quaint space on the inside, but a bright and open patio on the outside. I went in this weekend for an iced cup of coffee and found it all to be a good experience. My coffee was ready in a few minutes and my barista was really nice. Their iced coffee is on the bitter side, so I added some simple syrup and a little bit of cream. These days, I’m able to drink just black coffee, but adding this made it even better. I would come back for sure in the future. I consider it a lot less intimidating than a place like Publik, but the tastes are real similar.

First time here. Great staff, awesome decoration, more like Northern European style, I love this place. Plus, you can sit outside n enjoy the sunshine, reminds me back in Europe…

This place is excellent! I am a wretched coffee snob and was very happy with the latte I got. My wife got a shot of espresso and refused to eat or drink for the next hour, to keep the good taste in her mouth just a little bit longer :-D.

Inconclusive really So Blue Copper was on my SLC coffee tour and my barista(Nicholas) was awesome as we discussed what they offered, the SLC coffee scene and coffee roasters in general. That made the experience very pleasant. So I can’t remember which coffee I had but it was good. It didn’t standout like a few others I had in SLC but that shows that it was a quality cup in general. I also liked that they were open latest because SLC coffee shops close way early. They had Ruby beans and Supersonic(which I’d never heard of) as their guest roasters. I’d love to do a sampling of a few more of their coffees before I give them a conclusive verdict either way. I’d go there. Even if I wasn’t blown away by the stuff they roasted, they do offer great variety in their roasters.

I discovered this place with my Dad last Sunday and already it has become a place that I crave. I like to get their latte with brown sugar syrup and it is simply delicious. Then I get the spicy cheese bagel. WOW. It is so tasty and yummy and everything that I love. They toast the bagel with cheese on top(amazing cheese they get from Caputos) then because I love cheese so much I ask for cream cheese as well. Then they drizzle chili oil on top and BAM they create perfection!!! Would highly recommend this place!

Great coffee, small café. My friend and I were in the area looking for a good cup of coffee and somewhere to get a few hours of work done, so we stumbled into Blue Copper. The parking situation was a bit unclear but we just parked on the street directly in front of the café after pulling a questionable u-turn. The exterior and interior are very modern and clean. There was a single barista working that was very friendly and allowed us to pay at the end of our visit in case we decided to order additional items. I got a medium vanilla latte; it was deliciously smooth and the beautifully poured. I am a big fan of the branding of the paper cups. My friend ordered a simple drip coffee and thought it was good but a bit expensive. The seating is very limited in the café and only a few outlets are available to connect electronics. There is free wifi though, so that was great. Definitely not a sit and study kind of café. I’ll definitely be back to quickly grab coffee to-go.

Oooooh this coffee was tasty. But a ‘lil pricy when there are some other options around that are cheaper. But – tasty. :)

Blue Copper has risen to the top of my list of favorite coffee shops in SLC. The most eye-catching piece of equipment at Blue Copper is their Alpha Dominche Steampunk coffee machine, which is a thing of beauty. The barista was kind enough to explain the science behind it. This style of brewing combines the techniques of a pour over, French press, and siphon into one. Everything is automated, but you can customize recipes with specific roasts. It can even be used to brew tea! Blue Copper roasts their own beans in their roastery nearby and their coffee is quite good. A brew costs around $ 4.00, but you get your own carafe which produces about 4 small cups of coffee. The interior is clean and modern, but doesn’t typically look like every other hipster coffee shop you come across. There’s free wi-fi and plenty of seating, but beware the lack of public restrooms. Lastly, they carry a ton of cool coffee paraphernalia including the new pour over device from Saint Anthony Industries, which is also local. Props for not marking up any of their items.

Really neat«brew to order» machine that made a great cut of coffee. A little on the expensive side($ 4.31), but not much more than a regular pour over. If you’re looking for a great cup of coffee, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The space is relatively small with seating outside, too.

Ok so… I thought I knew good coffee and for once in my life, I’ll admit, I was wrong(don’t tell my husband I said that though) :-) This little coffee shop is nice and cozy with modern, industrial décor, which I love. My favorite thing to get here, which I am now addicted to, is their iced lattes. They make their own brown sugar vanilla syrup and they also have a homemade raw chocolate syrup. It’s always hard for me to decide. Most people who are really into coffee don’t like drinks that are on the sweeter side, but I do, so their iced lattes are perfect for me. They definitely have something for every taste. One reason their iced lattes are so good is that the flavor is so pure. The chocolate iced latte is sweet, but just barely. Or should I say perfectly sweet. Not overly sweet but you get that great sort of bitter dark chocolate flavor as well as the coffee/espresso flavor. It’s not masked behind 10 different syrups with caramel added and whipped cream on top. Blue Copper coffee room has definitely ruined Starbucks for me. If you love more traditional espressos, lattes and other coffee creations, this is the place to go. Everything is made with love here. Check it out!

The coffee is good. A cup of house drip is $ 2.50… not the cheapest, but I do like to support the small local businesses when I can. The espresso is so-so, but at least it is better than Starbucks. The only real complaint I have is that every time I have visited, even though I am the only other person in line, it takes them forever to acknowledge you because they are usually having a personal, non-order related conversation with the person ahead of you. I feel like familiarity with your clientele is great, but not when it keeps people from at least placing their drink order so they can sit and wait instead of standing in line getting frustrated.

An 8oz cup of coffee with tip cost me about $ 6. Had I known how creamy and smooth it would taste I would have paid double. I never came to Blue Copper when it was No Brow so I can’t compare. But when I came in today, the baristas were chatting amicably with a couple and learning their names. It didn’t feel snobby at all and the area was bright, low key, and had little vases with fresh flowers on every table. I didn’t stay to enjoy my coffee but next time I definitely will.
