Spanish Revival achitecture is not a common find in Salt Lake City, so the first time I came to the Columbus Library, the Californian in me was very charmed. Salt Lake County has an excellent catalog of books and audio, so it was no surprise that when I reserved a couple items online and picked them up here, it was easy. This location is in close proximity if you’re in South Salt Lake, Sugar House, and Millcreek. Tucked away in a residential area, it’s a fun place if you’re a kid or just a lifelong learner all-around. Check it out! :-)

This is a great lie-berry. They gots lotsa books and what-not. You kin git all yer fancy book lernin done there. The service is fast and friendly and they actually do have a large selection of media. The online reservation system is sweet! So, why not 4 or 5 stars? The place has a funk to it. It smells bad and I really can’t stand to spend more than a few minutes there.

LOVE this library! First of all, it’s walking distance from my house. They have Storytime on Fridays(10:30−11:15) for children ages 2 – 5 — the woman who teaches Storytime is very animated, and VERY good at capturing the children’s attention. There is a lot of singing, dancing, reading, and sometimes a craft for the children. They also have movies during the summer for families to enjoy together, and many other activities throughout the year. Something for everyone, they have Senior groups, girl groups, boy groups, and writing coaches. I find myself at this library about once a week, grabbing books, CD’s, and movies. I also like to grab the latest City Weekly on my way out the door. What can I say… I like books!
