My wife and I took our niece and nephew downtown today looking for City Dogs to give the kids the street vendor hot dog experience. City Dogs wasn’t on their corner at 300 S and 200 E(I called them using the number listed on Unilocal and they said they were doing some special engagement and wouldn’t be there today.) So we drove around looking for another. The guy I see sometimes on the southwest corner of the old courthouse block wasn’t there either. So we drove around downtown looking for carts. Passed a couple of taco carts, a cart serving curry, and then came to the Dogs with Altitude cart and stopped. My wife and I both think we had the best dogs we’ve ever had. I just had one with grilled onions and melted grated cheese, and it had so much flavor! My wife had one with sauerkraut and a special sauce that Juanita(the owner) makes that has horseradish and some other interesting ingredients I can’t remember; she calls it «altitude sauce.» The kids just had plain hot dogs, and they loved them. The owner is real nice and worked hard to take care of all of us. We’ll be going back soon.
