I’ve been eating at The Olympian since the early 1990’s. Always great quality food and Greek-sized servings.

The food is good. Have a great variety of American Breakfast choices and lunch is Greek and American. Can’t say enough about how welcoming the staff is and Maria is a doll. Food is about 8 to 10 per person and they do not accept Amex.

It’s good, not great. Better than a chain place, the staff has always been nice.

Was in SLC for the weekend and my cousin and I are both foodies so she knows all the great spots to hit up. This place has a family diner feel to it. It’s Greek owned so you can order anything from an eggs, bacon and toast breakfast plate to a souvlaki platter. I love Greek food so that’s a huge plus. I had country fried steak and it was pretty good. My sister has the beef teki breakfast plate and it was also good. Their french toast is very good… would def come back again. They also have great service =)

Really love this place and can’t believe it took us so long to find it. A hipster-free, hidden gem. Most breakfasts come with the option of toast, pancakes or FRENCHTOAST. Uh… yes please! The french toast option should be available everywhere. Always. With everything. The service has always been friendly but not overly so. It’s family friendly and the prices reasonable. A solid choice on a sunday morning(Open sundays!)

This is a pretty standard breakfast joint. I find it more enjoyable than the low end chain restaurants which isn’t the hardest feat. However their Olympian is tasty and a great deal. I would just forward that the cheese put on top isn’t very good quality and could probably be omitted to improve it. I enjoy their coffee a lot for being pot coffee. Pricing is very reasonable. I would say this rating is more on a 3.5 level but since I don’t have that option I went on the lower end because I have definitely had better.

This place is clean, and friendly, and the food is amazing. I had some of the best meatloaf with eggs this morning for breakfast. I also appreciate family run businesses that are actually run like a business. Best of both worlds.

This is a great place for breakfast. The portions are good for the price. I got the beef tekki breakfast plate. It was a little bit more beef than I needed and it would’ve been better if it was in thin strips instead of a thick Patty. It was tasty though and the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. French toast that came with it was yummy too.

Its a taste of Greek food and a mix of comfort food at the same time. I also get the opportunity to try new things and the staff is very friendly. The best breakfast and lunch around!

The combination of Mediterranean & breakfast could be dangerous but Olympian combines them in delicious ways! Items like omelette who gyro and feta or pumpkin pancakes were a surprise to me and my girlfriend. We both were so impressed the 1st thing we said after the 1st bites were. We have to write a review! Polite staff and nice scenery. Recommended.

THE most friendly staff of any restaurant I have ever eaten at! Of course, you go to a restaurant for the food… which was amazing, but I was completely taken aback at the super awesome atmosphere and friendly staff. …Did I mention the food was AMAZING?!?

All the hype must have gotten to my wife as she’s been wanting to return here for most of the year. When we did finally get here, somewhat removed from my previous review, I did, as I usually do on returns and paid close attention to whether or not the things I mentioned in my previous review still held. They do, for the most part. The carpet is filthy and while I like all the interesting stuff to look at along the walls, the dimness of this place(I would never consider eating here on a stormy day, unless I had a sudden hankerin’ to eat by flashlight) is still quite notable. It is excessive enough that it detracts from comfort. As to the food, pancakes were decent(served hot), my waffle was served at room temperature, my wife’s skillet, that she liked, was also served hot, but had a very off-flavor to me, my breakfast featured the beefteki, which was far and away the worst thing I’ve ever been served for breakfast and maybe overall for the last probably 25 — 30 years and was entirely inedible. Hashbrowns were mediocre and the over-medium eggs I was served was undercooked, even for over-easy. They also serve Lipton… still. Prices are still pretty cheap. The exterior of the building is still cool and the wait staff and hostess were incredibly nice, warm, friendly and somewhat helpful, which is a huge upgrade from last time. This time, however, the food was not only worse, but notably worse and I see the big zero in terms of percentage chances that I will ever return.

Went here for the first time today and it did not disappoint! This place does everything right. Hostess and server were very friendly and attentive. I had the Greek omelette with gyro meat, tomatoes and topped with feta cheese. Came with hash browns and I chose French toast as my side … so good. The coffee was fresh and only $ 1.49 per cup! Most places are charging over 2 bucks. Husband had the meat loaf and eggs. Weird combo, but it was delicious and it worked. The décor was really nice and clean. Can’t wait to try something from the lunch menu. No dinner, they close at 3. Waited about 10 minutes for a table but well worth it!

I’ve passed this place at least 60 times in the last year. Well today I finally stopped. Good for me. I had the meatloaf and eggs. Good call. I ordered eggs poached medium and toast lightly toasted and that’s exactly what I got. The $ 1.49 coffee was the kicker. In a word delicious and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be going back.

We have been having family breakfast here on Sunday’s for the past 6 months or so. We have never had a bad experience. We usually have a group of 6 – 12 people and the Olympian always accomodates us! The food is great and the protion sizes are nice. I usually order the greek omelet with a side of fruit. The omelet is such a nice portion size, I am never able to finish. The pancakes are always light and fluffy and so satisfying! Also, try their BLT or club sandwich! The staff is fabulous!

I still need to thoroughly explore this restaurant especially since I came here when I wasn’t very hungry and got just their soup. The soup was good, but after seeing what my friends had made me get hungrier and hungrier. I knew I should have gotten a whole meal even though my stomach said«Not hungry,» and my brain said«Yes, yes you are hungry.» This constant battle… Their food and the atmosphere just spoke«comforting» and«simply Greek.» I can’t wait to actually try this place and hopefully raise it a star or two.

There is an amazing Greek restaurant in Baker, California, where we stop whenever we make the drive from Southern California to Salt Lake. I dream of it’s tasty Greek food, so every time I’ve driven by The Olympian, I make a mental note to try it one day. It appears to be a fast food restaurant outside with the white and bright blue exterior paint, but I was surprised to step inside and find it was a somewhat cozy, charming sit-down restaurant. The interior décor has an almost Italian flair, but it is definitely homey. I love love stuffed grape leaves, so I ordered their Dolmathes entrée, which is a huge portion! It started with a house salad, that was your basic iceberg/shredded carrot/stale croûton salad, although the red Greek dressing is quite good. But then came the six stuffed grape leaves, about 9 Kalamata olives, a few pieces of pita bread, generous portions of both feta and tzatzki sauce and a big scoop of basmati rice. The grape leaves were large and appeared to be handmade by a Greek grandma. And I certainly had enough of everything leftover for lunch today! And it came with a little piece of EXCELLENT baklava! Sweet end to a wonderful meal! I enjoyed patronizing this little business, as the owner was extremely pleasant when she sat us and then as we were paying. Service was attentive. Prices fair. No complaints here!
