I cannot comment on the quality of the food since I didn’t have any, but the beer that I had was delicious. I am a fan of wheat beers and the honey wheat was a delicious choice. So delicious that I am going to have to go out and buy some of it! However, this place is tiny. If you are carrying on a suitcase don’t even bother going here because there is no place to put it.

I had a stopover at SLC and tried it out and I was pretty impressed! The speed and quality of the food is great! I got a chicken quesadilla(appetizer), it was only $ 9. Wow, I can’t believe how much $ 9 could get you! I got a pretty big quesadilla, with salsa, sour cream AND guac, all for $ 9!!! Impressive. Also, they use white meat chicken, and they put a good amount of chicken in the quesadilla. The only downer is that they also put A LOT of cheese. It’s super cheesy, I guess I should have asked them to go light on the cheese. If I ever have a stopover at SLC, I’d definitely come back. I also recommend to my friends and fam! The customer service is also great! I had my good to go, so I only interacted with the cashier, but she was very friendly and helpful. Overall, good spot for an airport layover!

Food is a joke. Over priced food, with mediocre flavors and slow inconsistent service from the waiters… perhaps their sections are too large to manage? You come here for the beer only!

We were looking for beer since we had an hour to kill, and we got beer! Considering Utah is not the most friendly place to get a good pint we got exactly what we wanted. It’s not the biggest selection, but it’s good!

The most expensive barely edible breakfast I’ve ever had. Think undercooked potatoes and over cooked eggs. The service is impossibly slow and they got my order wrong. The bacon was dry and tasteless. The toast was okay.

My friend, Donna L.(HIDONNA!), recommended this place for some beer while I was connecting through the Salt Lake City International Airport. I had a four-hour layover, so I had plenty of time to waste before my next flight. I’m even drafting up this review while I wait. Squatters was located in concourse C so it was only a short walk from where my gate was located. I came here after 4pm and there was a lot of people here. You pretty much sit wherever you want and look at the menu at each table/counter. The one beer that appealed to me was the Respect Your Mother Organic Amber Ale($ 3.99 for a third liter, $ 5.99 for a half liter, and $ 0.49 for a sample) all because of the name. I only ordered the third liter because I didn’t want to have to keep going to the bathroom while flying. It tasted good to me and would order it again; however, there were other beers that sounded good to try. In addition, I went off of my waiter’s recommendation of the UTE Burger($ 14.99). The UTE Burger was pretty much a burger with pastrami in it and I chose chips and salsa to go with it. The UTE Burger was awesome and delicious! I wasn’t even hungry but still needed to waste time. I would recommend the UTE Burger to anybody who loves burgers and pastrami. It was definitely enough for one person. Squatters was a good place to grab a beer and eat while waiting for your next flight. Check it out!

Had an excellent dinner here. Staff was friendly and attentive. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was fantastic– well-balanced with sauce, really liked the bun, and salad was very good quality. I also had 2 of their craft beers– the American Hefeweizen and Wasatch Snap Down Header Lager. Very pleased with both! I will go here any time I am at the airport or SLC.

Love it here. Every time we stay in SLC we have at least one meal here. The food is always quality, service great and timely, impressive menu, and priced reasonably. It’s just a good meal and we always leave satisfied.

** review edited to reflect UT law. We sat right at the bar and the bartender was very unhelpful and rude. I wanted to try a beer before ordering and they charged me for my sample. This has never happened to me before and I’ve been to many restaurants and breweries.

My standards for airport food have been lowered from the experiences I’ve had at a vast number of sub-par restaurants. So I was pleasantly surprised when Squatters Pub and Beers, located in the Salt Lake City airport, offered up not only some solid food options but an overall well-rounded experience. This location is large, but seems to be constantly full. You’ll find bar seating around the either corner entrance and even better: seats that face out to the beautiful mountains. Their draft selection is limited to due UT state laws, but they do have some tasty bottled IPAs that are worth a try(I particularly enjoyed the Hop Rising Double IPA). We went with a ruben sandwich(served with corn chips and salsa) and Greek salad(topped with red onions, olives and feta cheese; dressing is served on the side) for two. Nothing fancy but far better than expected and it hit the«I’m hungry and waiting in an airport» spot. I’d return to Squatters if I’m passing through the airport again, but I’d pass if I had the option to eat outside the airport. I’d say this is a 3 – 3.5 star restaurant, but it’s much better than most airport options, raising the bar to a 4.

I had a layover in SLC and was craving a good burger. I can tell you that Squatters is not a good choice. The burger was bland and dry, and the patty looked and tasted like one of those frozen patties you get in the bulk pack at Costco and they charged me $ 13 for this less than mediocre burger. Oh, and no fries… whaaaat? On the bright side, they do have some pretty good beers.

I haven’t written a review in years because … Unilocal. But I was attracted to this place because of the awesome reviews and postive feedback. I travel for work constantly and waste hours and hours in airports every week, so was excited by the possibilities. Unfortunately the bartender who served me was either super hung over or had been on as many flights as I have today. Probs not. Total side note: I was service industry for 12 years — so I get having a crappy day but I also get what a show bartending is. Particularly if you are in a place where lots of tourists show up, or theater goers show up… or an airport. Bottom line, all I wanted was a friendly bartender in the midst of a shitty travel day to make me not feel like an exhausted, annoying person who just wanted a few drinks during a very long layover. He was clearly more interested in gossiping with fellow servers. This was disappointing.

This is our second time stopping here when flying through SLC. The first time we got breakfast and beer(don’t judge me), and this time it was nachos and beer. The beers were fine. Nothing to get too excited about, but if you’re in the mood for a craft, and want something you haven’t tried before, this will do. This time I got their Chocolate Rye Stout(nitro). Smooth and chocolaty, but a little underwhelming. My wife got the Full Suspension Pale Ale. Pretty standard, bitter, hoppy, etc. I don’t recall what we got the first time we were here. I believe it was a Pumpkin Stout, and I remember that being just fine(it was back I’m Oct). The first time we were here we got breakfast. I remember it being average, but we were really hungry and needed something to eat, so it worked. This time we got nachos with shredded pork. My problem with this was mostly the price(13.99). The Nachos Bel Grande at Taco Bell is better, and better prices. I know this is airport prices, so I won’t complain too much, but I feel as if I could have gotten better food for cheaper elsewhere in the airport.

What amazed me is the prices! They are the same as the Squatters downtown. Usually prices are jacked up in airports so it was nice to pay regular prices. Good beers 5 stars I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with a cup of tomato soup. 4 stars Quick service

C concourse at the airport was a lot more tolerable at Squatters. The blackened tilapia salad($ 14) was delicious. It had a nice kick and just enough crunchy tortilla strips. My companion was happy with her ahi tacos. Service and décor were pleasant. The alcohol list was long and reasonably-priced. A double espresso($ 3) was terrific. BONUS — real tableware! BONUS — comfortable setting

I seem to end up at Squatters nearly every time I fly out of SLC. Why? Because it’s great, that’s why! The food is fresh and tasty and they have an excellent selection of beer, wine and cocktails. It’s not 5-star dining, and it’s not even as nice/good/fancy as their downtown resto. But, for a bar/restaurant in an airport, this place is awesome!

I am a sick fool in that I love airports. The food and beverages at most aren’t great but Squatters was different. Here come the numbered points: 1. Great Beer List — the beer list was extensive for every pallet. I know Utah has some regulations on the alcohol percent per beer but the taste of Squatters is great. 2. Appetizers were delicious — I will say that I only had the pretzel but man it was great with the IPA mustard. A must, not exactly the healthiest but come on, you are in an airport. 3. FANTASTIC service — I wish I could remember my servers name but he was knowledgable about the beer, food, and also very attentive. The only downside was the bad acoustics and layout of the restaurant. I would still recommend those going through SLC to stop in for a pint and a bite while you watch all the Delta flights go by.

I’ve always enjoyed this place when I fly through SLC. They have decent food and it is always quick. They also have the best beer selection in he whole airport. If you’re stuck at SLC for a bit I recommend this place for a bite and and beer.

If you are stuck in the Salt Lake City Airport there are few options that offer the breadth of menu choices as Squatter’s Pub and Beers. Squatter’s is a Salt Lake City microbrewery and the airport location is their third brewpub in the area. Let’s face it, most airport food is a poor facsimile of what you would find outside of the gates, and veg/vegan options often do not abound. Squatter’s excels on several of these fronts. My partner and I desperately searched for food upon arrival at the airport, and were excited to see that the brewpub offers many vegetarian entrees and recipe options. This is the first time I have seen tofu scramble on a menu while flying, and l ordered just that in a burrito with beans and salsa and a side of potatoes. While the food is almost certainly microwaved/heated, it still showed many of the flavor notes I would have expected. We also tried several of their own microbrews, including their lager and hefeweizen. Neither were outstanding examples of their styles, but were tasty enough to drink while watching planes take off. Our total bill for two entrees and two beers with tax rounded out to $ 29, which is cheaper than most other restaurants we looked at in the airport. If you have time to kill in SLC and don’t want to pay for a lounge day pass, Squatter’s is a very attractive option.

If you are in the Salt Lake City Airport, Squatter’s Pub is not a bad place to squat. My bartender and the waitresses that kept walking up were very nice, even at 8am in the morning. This was a hopping bar after the holidays and the staff seemed to be handling it in stride. I opted for a Bailey’s and coffee having been up since 3am to catch my 5am flight into Salt Lake, so it sounded good at the time. After seeing their beer menu I had to try the Polygamy Porter and it was pretty good. I did not eat anything, but the patron’s plates on both sides of me looked appetizing. I will be sure to stop in on my next Salt Lake city layover!
