I have heard quite a bit about Smashburger, so when I had the chance… I have it a shot… I honestly wasn’t terribly impressed. Although the burger was good, there were so many burger joints around Salt Lake that were MUCH better that I left disappointed. Recently, I saw another Smashburger while spending a fun-filled day at the Salt Lake airport and I thought I’d give another chance… Maybe it was just THAT restaurant. Nope, this visit was worse than the first. They ran out of ingredients, the place was filthy, they mixed up my order, forgot my drink and the woman who called out my order for pick-up was surly and rude! Then to top it al off… The food was unimpressive to say the least. The best part of the meal was the bun– period With all of the amazing food being prepared around the country these days, I can’t imagine a reason to eat at this establishment… Unless there aren’t any other options and one is starving!

Got the classic smash burger and the smash fries. It was delicious. The burger was juicy and the smash sauce was tasty. I really enjoyed the smash fries also.

For $ 10.00 you can get a good sized bacon cheeseburger and order of fries. This is not bad for an airport price structure. Food quality was top notch, everything fresh and good portion sizes. The bun was very tasty and the fries were perfectly crisp. Service was basic but that is OK– it is a food venue at an airport after all. Good does take about 5−7mins even with no line but it is made fresh to order.

The girl at the counter with the long blonde hair was literally the nicest girl ever. And, I was ordering 15 mins before they close. This made my night after stressing because I missed my flight.

For airport«fast food» this place was GREAT! They had a little line when we first arrived but we got through the line really quickly. They got our food out within 5 mins and we got to our gate and everything still tasted fresh. They used real burger meat, romaine lettuce, hand cut tomatoes, red onion slices and sliced dill pickles. Not usually one for red onions or pickles on my burger, but it worked really well with this restaurants burger. Great flavors and not too expensive either. Definitely recommend if you are tired of spending a fortune while traveling, but don’t want the«other» fast food places.

For airport food this place is pretty good. I’m a French fry lover and the smash fries here are really good!!! They are shoestring fries but have been tossed with rosemary and olive oil! Wonderful!!! It’s bitter sweet there aren’t too many of these in my area.

The line was long but they were constantly pushing out orders. My food was definitely fresh. I ordered the chicken avocado BLT with no lettuce. It came with lettuce. Not a big deal since the airport is loud and the lettuce comes off easy. Just because the name has burger in it, don’t be afraid to order chicken. It was perfect with lots of flavor. It was thin but perfect for me. Fries were good. Not much room in the dining area especially since people take up seats when they’re no longer dining. Manners can be hard to come by but what can you do.

I only had a few minutes to catch my connecting flight back to Seattle and decided to eat here. My meal was great only having a few minutes to look over the menu. I will definitely try to eat here again when I fly into Salt Lake City in May. Does any one know if Smashburger serves chicken?

The mushroom burger was dry and burnt. The patty virtually turned into cardboard. For as long as the line was, I would’ve expected better.

No idea how this place only rates a three star average. A damn good burger at an airport terminal? Sign me up! The thing was two patties of juicy deliciousness with a great crust you can only get from a hot ass flat top grill. The veg on it was fresh and flavorful with the Smash Sauce adding a nice flavor. Since I’m trying to eat a little more healthily(hahaha given paragraph above), I skipped the fries so no input there. The burger came out pretty quickly which is generally a must for an airport meal.

They Smash the chicken avocado club into oblivion. Really thin piece of chicken and satisfying at all. Looks good on paper but doesn’t deliver — my only and last visit.

Now that’s a burger! The place might look like fast food and you do get your food fast but the quality is awesome. Tasty burger! Fries are pretty good too. I wish we had these where I live.

For an airport restaurant, it had decent burgers. It is good for a quick bite on a layover but you won’t find me craving to eat here on a usual day. The upside for this place was that it a reasonable number of white meat options which is not common for usual burger places.

I really don’t expect much from these restaurants in airports. But, this was one of the more affordable ones here at this airport in Salt Lake City. I got the Truffle Mushroom Swiss with the Smash Fries. Both were okay and did the job in filling my hunger. The fries here at this location was made fresh to order and really had the lovely flavors of rosemary and garlic! I did like this compared to the other one that I went to in Omaha. The burger was a bit small for my liking but there was obvious truffle oil present. Overall– not bad. Maybe they’ll see me again when I visit Salt Lake City next time.

Decent burgers you won’t pay an arm and a leg for. Without a ton of options for food, I decided to check out Smash Burger before my connecting flight out to SFO. I was pleasantly surprised. The line was out the door, but it moved relatively quickly. The servers were friendly and courteous. I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and the Smash fries. The burger itself was pretty substantial, and the fries were tasty. Surprisingly, I only had to pay $ 8 – 9 which is pretty reasonable for airport food. You would easily pay $ 15+ elsewhere. It’s a good option if you need to grab a bite.

Decent chicken sandwich, add avocado for an extra ounce of oomph. Quick service before your flight departs. Have not tried the burgers, but the chicken classic sandwich has served me well twice and I’ll probably be back again soon. Good enough for the airport to go. Far better than any packaged sandwich I’ve found in SLC Airport.

My first and only time visiting a Smashburger was in the Salt Lake City airport. I’m not sure if this location is similar to other Smahburgers or not. The burger I had was pretty good. Certainly better than a McDonald’s burger of course, but not as good as other fast-casual burgers like Five Guys, Fatburger, Shake Shack, etc. The patties were cooked just fine, but there seemed to be a lot of burned grill debris on the patties. The fries were lackluster. Too thin, cold, and overall just underwhelming. I didn’t even finish them all, and that’s saying something. The vanilla shake was quite good, but again, nothing spectacular about it. This Smashburger isn’t a bad place to eat at the SLC airport, and it may be the best burger in the airport. However, compared to Five Guys and other burger joints, it doesn’t stack up.

A friend of mine’s Dad is Mr Smashburger. Like, he invented it because he’s a genius and I’ve been promising her that the next time I went to the States I’d hit it up for her and her dad but mainly for me because buuuuuurrgerrrr tiiiiime. Plus I was wandering around the airport cold and alone with an hour to kill in Salt Lake City and I had a book but was looking for an excuse not to read it because who even reads these days? Not when there’s video games. I’m a purist so I ordered the Classic Smash and sat down to eat it, pulled it out of the bag, unwrapped the wrapper, and lo and behold there was a burger that looked just like it did in the menu photo, that never happens. I marveled at that a little then heffed into it, the cheese content was good, the bun was good, the juiciness was damn good. If their tagline isn’t «Go Smash A Smashburger» it damn well should be.

Sweet potato fries. That is what makes the difference for me. Their burgers are good, but the fries, oh lordy! It’s a quick fix when needed. I don’t go looking for this place specifically, but that day at the airport it was the best option and it was great. Again, the sweet potatoes do it for me.

During a recent trip my husband and I wanted to grab a bite while at the airport. We didn’t want something super-typical(like a Wendy’s or McDonald’s), but also didn’t want something that was too expensive or that took too long. This was our first experience with Smashburger. The menu and photos actually looked pretty good. We ordered a big French fry to share, it was ok, and each got a sandwich. He orders a cheeseburger and I got a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado on it. I won’t knock them for price, because, frankly everything in the airport is overpriced… No major complaints but the sandwiches were both overcooked/dry and the service was very unfriendly. It wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t great.
