My kids attended their week-long Geometry Art summer camp and loved it. They saw it as having fun doing cool art projects and yet, without realizing it, they were learning about geometry. The camp was kept small and personal, and the 2 co-directors, Daniel and Celeste were both great with the kids — very easy going yet maintaining good discipline and giving each child all the support they needed. We went back to attend a few classes: – Language Arts class was taught by one of their tutors, Joanie. Creative and fun, Joanie kept the class at good pace, and the kids engaged and motivated. She definitely helped me move my kids over the initial struggles with learning to read and write. – Drawing Out Arithmetics class was taught by one of the co-directors, Daniel. The class uses compass and straight edge to teach some of the key mathematical concepts. It is very hands on, just right to engage restless kids who find«traditional» math boring. And Daniel has a gift of exuding excitement for his topic, natural curiosity and inventor’s wonder. Recommended.

Daniel and Celeste have a great thing going at the Golden Gate Tutoring Center. They work extremely well with both the students and the parents. By the way, if you do nothing else, ask Daniel for his acids and bases/Mickey Mouse/ear-eating-bears chemistry lesson. Yes, all of those are included in the same lesson :)
