Seriously, this new food truck is taking HOTDOG to the next level! No more plain hot dog on a bun with ketchup and mustard, ohhh noooo… when you go to 1−2−3 Hot Dog, you’ll see that there are a trillion(OK maybe not a trillion — but a lot) of different ways to make a hot dog more interesting then just ketchup and mustard. Ordered a plain hot dog for my son(who only likes to eat hot dogs and chicken nuggets right now) and while we were ordering, the person in the truck said«Are you sure you just want a plain hot dog». I continued to say yes yes yes, then went into the explanation of how it was for my son. Then he gave me a small container full of the bolognase sauce that they put on some of the hot dogs to try. And MAN was it good! Was pretty impressed that they gave me a free sample of the bolognase so of course, later in the evening I had to go back to try their bolognase hot dog and it was amazing. I’m not a huge fan of hot dogs, so I don’t eat here regularly, but this is a great food truck and an awesome addition to BoB. I’m really excited to save something so simple, but not so simple added to the food truck scene. Great for kids but also great for adults with all of the fabulous additions they add to a boring old hot dog! Check it out!

This seems like such a simple concept. 1. Pick your frank. Beef, Turkey or Veggie.(easy right?) 2. Pick you bun. White or Wheat.(still pretty simple right?) 3. Pick your style. #3 is where they completely lost me. When they say style they mean take a look at the picture on the side of the truck with 10, yes 10, different hot dog choices. I mean seriously how am I supposed to choose between things like the Monte Cristo or the Smokie, the Greek or an of the others? The choices, pictures and descriptions made every single one of them appealing. So I did what I do and asked what their favorite was. I was pointed to the Monte Cristo and the Smokie(hence the reason I can remember those 2). I chose the Monte Cristo for my 1st taste. Swiss cheese and strawberry relish on a white bun with a beef frank. It was delicious. The relish was a mix of strawberries and peppers and was a great spicy sweet mix. I hadn’t had my fix yet so I went back and tried the Smokie. Still a beef frank and white bun but now with some caramelized onions, bacon, cheese and a smoked sauce of some kind(I think it was a mayo???). There was more to it than just that but I can’t remember all of the ingredients. Sorry. Again it was amazing. I used to think a hot dog was a hot dog was a hot dog. Not so much anymore. These guys have some awesome flavor combinations working and I will be back to sample my way through the entire menu. The only reason that this is not a 5 star is the size of the franks. The bun is big and the frank didn’t fit in it well. I spoke to the owners and they informed me that they are still working on finding a vendor they like. They thanked me for the input and said they will look at going to a quarter pound frank. When they do I will update my review, and they will be a force in the San Antonio hot dog scene.
