Enjoyed a quick lunch here before hopping on a *delayed* United flight to Denver. Got the small BBQ Ranch Combo. Things I liked as follows:
1) They only have one size of drink — large! The peach lemonade is great, and I loved the actual peach bits in the bottom.
2) The sandwich had the right amount of meat (chicken, bacon), veggies, and cheese. Bread was nicely toasted. Sandwich was warm and tasty!
3) The fries were hot, fresh, and not overly salted
Additionally, service was fast and courteous! Not much more one could ask for at a fast food joint in the airport!

Pretty good subs for a fast food option! My good friend and I both ordered Philly cheesesteaks. I put mayo on mine and she put ranch. The bread was very good and soaked up the mayo which made it delicious! But the amount of mayo was excessive and overpowered any other flavor.
Now for a guest review! My good friend Rose: Rose here. I LOVE a good Charley’s sub. I stick with the classics, too, which is why I was disappointed in this airport location. The bread was not toasted as much as usual and the meat was not as tasty. I would give the Terminal B location 2 stars because of this.

Located right after security at SAT Terminal 2, Charley’s main selling point is that they open at the crack of dawn and are a better dining option than the adjacent coffee shop. Full menu available at all times, and their philly cheesesteak is actually pretty decent.
Prices are on par with normal expectations for airport dining, and food is decent for a food-​court setting. As an unexpected bonus, the seating area in front of the restaurant includes electrical outlets.

I get it it’s early in the morning at the airport… I am grabbing a sandwich for what will be a long flight. So you did not hear chicken and ordered me steak. Oh yeah you also did not catch no onions or tomatoes… Ahh so why do you have attitude when I correct what could have been a costly mistake for you? Oh I get it you had to refund the difference??? What happened to being apologetic for your oops? Has customer service gone in place of only person you could fill that slot with? Training caring goes a long way!

I’ve gotten lunch a few times at charley’s, and it’s probably one of the better options (when you need something quick) in terminal b at the san antonio airport.
they offer a bunch of different grilled sub and sandwich options. i’ll often get the garden salad with grilled turkey over it, and they are very willing to add extra toppings to the salad such as mushrooms, peppers, and extra tomatoes. the line moves fairly quickly, and the price is reasonable for the portion.

Boy, did this place suck.
First off, it smelled TERRIBLE when I went here. I had already ordered and I was standing around waiting for my sandwich, and it just started reeking. Even the staff was covering up noses. It turns out they were emptying grease traps or something, but dude, can’t you wait until the place is closed?
That aside, I was starving. I grabbed my food and got FAR away. But the sandwich was really quite terrible. I got the cheesesteak, and it may be the worst I’ve ever had. Meat, a tiny bit of cheese and a bunch of lettuce on a huge bun does NOT equate to a cheesesteak.
Avoid if at all possible!

I love a good, hot, grilled sub, and Charley’s did not disappoint. The guy working the grill loved banging the spatula, made it feel like a late night Philly cheese steak run.
I had the Ultimate Club, regular size. It was filling, but not super large. I did like the club, B+. Plenty of meat and bacon.
Airport prices, so a regular size sub and a bottle water was $ 10. The staff was friendly, and the food court has plenty of seats. BONUS; sitting area has tables with plugs for computer and phone charging.

A nice surprise venue after you pass through security. A typical looking fast food joint… but typical stops there.
They have the usual sub and salad items… and while they routinely prepare and deliver good tasty stuff… they also have a healthy choice menu for those needing a little extra thought before gobbling down just anything as we race for our plane.
I ordered the egg white scramble, added ham. Came out prompt… and wow, it was very tasty.
So if you are in between flights… have that hunger growl happening… here is a solid alternative to the typical fast food junk food establishments. Give them a try.
