My first time to visit a chicken express and I was well pleased. The chicken breast came out so moist and succulent, yum! I’ve never had fried white meat that tasty. I am definitely coming again when in town.

Stopped by and picked up some hot wings, mac n cheese, okra and some sweet tea. I was a bit surprised how good the wings tasted. I didn’t have to put any hot sauce on them. Sides were good and sweet tea was just right. The only thing was the price which ran me about $ 22 for everything. Service was fast and the workers were friendly.

2 for service + 3 for food = 5⁄2 = 2 ½ stars food has ALWAYS been good but service has been lacking regularly lately. had chicken pieces today instead of tenders — crispy, golden brown and DE licious. dark pieces — juicy and flavorful. nice large pieces too. but, once again had to wait to be waited on, then wait even longer to get someone to come to the counter so I could get a fork — none were out. lots of workers wandering around back — at least I was told«be right with you». acknowledgement is better than being totally ignored, but not as great as actual service! what is it with no one at the counter? I always count about half a dozen employees?

The only CE in town and its 20+ miles away from me? No worries I’ll drive as far as I have to so that I can enjoy their food. Everything on the menu is amazing, especially the fried pickles, corn poppers and of course the fried chicken! You can also get some damn good catfish here if you’re craving seafood. I had my first CE experience in Hamilton TX and have been waiting for them to build a location here. So glad it’s a reality.

Honestly, I’m not a fan. A friend dragged me here saying she worshipped it. I got the chicken and the fish. The fish was absolutely terrible. I know what you’re thinking. Why buy fish at a CHICKEN place. Well… why sell it if you’re recipe is terrible? The fish itself wasn’t bad. but I did not like the breading at all. The chicken tenders were pretty good; but not my favorite. I absolutely loved the fries though. Service was eh. Lady who took our orders didn’t seem happy or amused at being there or having to take our orders and wait for me to decide. The men in the back apparently didn’t know how to smile either. It was, however, very clean and nice inside; with a few TVs that were showing a college football game. I might give it another try… they were out of macaroni and cheese when I went — and I’m a fan of trying everyone’s macaroni and cheese.

Nicely decorated, super clean. Very nice staff. Their chicken tenders are the best ever, crispy on the outside super tender and juicy on the inside. I had their daily special: 2 chicken tenders, 2 fish, side of corn nuggets and a roll with a large drink, all for $ 8.75. Not bad at all. My daughter had the hot wings, fried with a spicy seasoning. It’s fried to order. A must try here at Chicken Express. One word description: YUM. I really love the sweet tea. I highly recommend chicken tenders. Glad there in San Antonio.

I’ve always loved chicken express I was really excited to see there was a new location. But the sweet tea wasn’t on point with other locations like the one off exit 186. And the fried pickles are the second worst I’ve ever had. I’m use to crispy and these were damn near soggy. Step it up Chicken E. I have high expectations.

I love Chicken E, but this one is pretty hit or miss. I live nearby, so I frequent it a lot. Good some days, barely mediocre others. Same goes with the friendliness of the service.

This chicken express is okay but the one in Bulverde is 100% better tasting. We will actually drive from SA to go get it… so worth the drive. The chicken is much better than the Thousand oaks location. I don’t understand why their chicken is bland. I guess they don’t use butter like the one in Bulverde does.

Stopped by this place on the way home from the gym to see what my coworker was raving about. Sure enough, some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Flavorful, crispy, and down right delicious. Their menu offers a variety of items, both personal and family sized, and at a fair price. The staff was friendly and the drive thru was fast. I’ll definitely be back.

Finally there’s a Chicken Express here in San Antonio. Been waiting 2 years since moving. Bush’s is ok, but CE is my most favorite. luv their fries, their sweet tea, their lunch specials. Restaurant is decent looking than the 1 back in Seguin and most other CEs I’ve been too. This location’s inside fits in with most of the other Thousand Oaks stores and restaurants looking like a modern upscale atmosphere. Been eating their chicken for years and its MUTHAFUCKINDELICIOUS, ORGASMICALLYSCRUMPTIOUS, LIPSMACKING, COOKSUPERKICKING excellence.
