SUPER Friendly staff every time I’ve been. Zucchini carrot muffins are delish. Coffee is pretty good too!

First try. We tried this place on a recent Sunday morning. A church service was about to start and It was way too packed and we were casually dressed. We felt uncomfortable so we left. Second try. Went on a Tuesday morning. Nice place. The two people that helped us this morning were super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my coffee and breakfast bowl. My friend enjoyed the oatmeal and said it was great! Approx. $ 11.00 for two coffees, a breakfast bowl and oatmeal. Not too bad. I will go back especially for the friendly service we recieved. :)

Generic coffee. Blah breakfast tacos. I had a meeting across the street and needed some caffeine and came through here. The teens working the counter are super nice, but a culinary hot spot this is not. This TriPoint is run by Trinity Baptist Church, and the YMCA is an always packed gym, but the coffee shop could do with a few Hail Marys.

These guys are so happy! I work out at the Y next door, so it’s extra convenient to swing by after a workout and pick up a smoothie or iced coffee to get your day started. I wasn’t sure what all they could do, but they were happy to explain, and it turns out they can pretty much do it all. Veggie breakfast sandwiches on english muffins, wraps, parfaits, and fresh fruit smoothies. I’m a regular at Hearthstone in Olmos Park, and when I mentioned that, they were thrilled to declare that they can do everything their bigger sister can. There is ample space to work with the super speedy free wifi.

Comfortable environment, had the turkey panini that was quite good(7 + tax). Will def come back to try different lattes(especially the Tiramisu). Good study environment without the pressure to buy something every couple hours. Lots of outlets if needed.

Grace has average to below average coffee(it’s usually good enough) and some nice work space. Actually, it probably has the most work space of any coffee house in town, and it has plenty of outlets. It’s a little loud at times due to the concrete floors and high ceilings, but if you’re an experienced coffee shop commuter, you have your earphones handy. The only thing I *really* don’t like about Grace is the obnoxious and way-too-loud Christian music that plays constantly. Sometimes even the earphones aren’t enough to tune it out. I don’t understand why some businesses find it necessary to blast their patrons with music all the time. Don’t they realize that silence is golden? IMO this is especially true in a place where people often go to work and study. Shut up!

This is a favorite location for me to study and enjoy a great cup of tea. I have had several business meetings here. I have attended community and civic events here. This is not a Starbucks type place. It is a community gathering space. They repurposed an old Albertson grocery store into some fantastic use. The YMCA is always occupied. The Internet café is free and open and accessible. Amazing. The bathrooms are always spotless. The café staff are not Starbucks baristas, but they do a great job and are welcoming. The spaces are owned by Trinity Baptist but they do an excellent job serving the community through the culture and design of how it is used, and are never pushy or overwhelming. Anyone could be comfortable here. Good light. Lots of outlets. Great place to study, work, relax, unwind. Only suggestion would be some seating that would be more comfortable. The sleek modern design is not always easy on the backside if one is there a couple hours.

We just pulled through the drive-thru, convenient location and my iced coffee was just a little bit too much milk to coffee, but the boy had a caramel macchiato and he said it was fine. We’ll go back.

I was in town looking for a place to get my caffeine fix on a Monday night to study and was able to find this place as it is open until 9pm but I wasn’t that impressed. I got the caramel macchiato and had no difficulties sleeping afterwards. The sign of good coffee for me is that I start having palpitations and develop a slight fine tremor in my hands and I didn’t have any of that. Other notes about the place was that there are several seating areas and a few televisions to watch various sporting events as well. I tried to study here but it felt too institutionalized for me and ended up leaving to do something else.

Curt C’s review said it best, the building itself is way nicer than the products they offer. And the first time I went the girl behind the counter was painfully shy, and for a new comer like me who asks questions, I wanted to just go behind the counter and make my own drink.

Great café latte, excellent snickerdoodle, didn’t find the community center feel unappealing. I met a friend here last week for coffee. I think I’d give it 5 stars, but the employees didn’t really seem passionate or especially knowledgeable. I brought my own cup and although they were friendly and said I could use it they sort of acted like they’d never dealt with that before. I don’t consider myself a coffee person, but I have had a lot of café lattes. I sort of felt like they were all the same(sometimes too«coffee-y»). This one definitely stood out among the others. I found it particularly tasty. I got a snickerdoodle cookie to go with it and it was also VERY good! My poor friend got caught up with something else before meeting me and was a bit late. This wasn’t a problem because I people watched and played solitaire with one of the available decks of cards while I waited. There are other games, too. I really like this place and I think it’s a nice concept!

The best thing about this place is certainly not the coffee. Their coffee is Seattle’s Best. It’s over priced, and they’re stingy with refills. Their food is fairly gross, and tremendously over priced. The best part of this place is the facilities that they offer. Meeting rooms, free wi-fi, board games, and plenty of seating. It gets a little loud there, everything is made of steel and concrete, so loud sounds reverberate. It’s really nice of them to offer free computers, and pool. It’s a great place to go if you have a group of people that need a place to meet, but if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee, go elsewhere.

I agree with others — I’d most certainly come here over Starbucks(ick), too. Yes, it is owned by a church, but they do no push any sort of religious things on you which is great because I really hate that. Anyhow, this café is very clean and has a lot of natural light flowing through. The cashiers are super friendly and genuinely smiley. Good atmosphere to study… there are even Mac computers provided in lounge! I’d come here again for sure. The prices are quite cheap and it is conveniently nearby.

Amen to the reviewer who compared this place to a community center. After having gone last week, I have had multiple opportunities to go again. Something about the place has just kept me away. I think the community center comment hits the nail on the head. One feels undeniably conspicuous and small in there. Ook.

I went today to get out of the rain and it was like stepping into a community center. I guess it is because when walking in I saw that a divider was open so I guess you can walk freely to the YMCA. I don’t know if I was into it. It was wide open and great to meet and talk with people over coffee, but I was looking for a place to read my book. It just felt like the cafeteria of a hospital to me really. Not too serious, but just too industrial to read a book in. However, there certainly is a difference from other coffee shops, a breath of fresh air if you’re with a group of friends or associates hoping to talk or accomplish something without distractions.(Ignoring the pool table and wall of computers in the adjacent room of course.)

I’d rather go here than Starbucks any day. (Unfortunately, there’s a Starbucks closer to my place and I don’t need to fight as much traffic to go half-way across town.) I love how spacious and open Grace Coffee is, and that fact that I run into people I know here – even though it’s been half a decade since I’ve spent any considerable amount of time in San Antonio. Prices are super reasonable, coffee stays fresh, and the folks are all friendly. A little too ‘religious-themed’ for my taste, but you can either ignore it or eavesdrop for the makings of a good story later on.

Was coming out of the Zoo area and found this place right across from 281. Good coffee, great people, and amazing atmosphere. Could easily spend the entire day there. Will return for sure.

We all have our guilty pleasures. Thanks to Grace Coffee Café, I think I just discovered a new one: Drinking a delicious sugar-filled coffee and munching on a double-chocolate cookie while watching people sweat it out on the stair masters in the gym across the hallway. Awesome! I like the location and the very nice barristas, but something about the environment is just a little too sterile… it’s a good place to get a cup of coffee, but not the sort of ambiance I want to hang out in all day.

This morning, I needed a coffee badly! I had a meeting down at San Antonio College and it was imperative that coffee help me through. Grace Coffee Café is that warm welcome off of 281S and N St. Mary’s. Just the drive thru itself screams«come now!». I am so happy that this building became something that automatically I gave it three stars. It is hip and contemporary. Before it was just a run down building on a very important street. Now it is a bustling coffee shop filled with students and business people. I had the White Chocolate Mocha and was not disappointed. They use Seattle’s Best coffee, which is 2nd in line to Green Mountain for me. The coffee shop itself had great upcoming event information and artwork, music, and television to keep someone happy for at least an hour. I am a fan of Grace’s and will be back!

A great idea-coffee shop next door to the YMCA! Wonderful open space with workstations, wi-fi, meeting rooms, a gallery and performance space. In side the café itself are more and while I have not counted outlets, I have not heard any complaints. I have been hitting Grace in the afternoons for a post workout smoothie and some writing time. I really enjoy sitting in the central room where I can write while watching some ESPN and the news. I cannot speak to the food, but do know that their coffee is advertised as Seattle’s Best. As I said this is my smoothie stop and while they only have a few options, I have made some great combinations and have never had a bad drink! I think it is a nice place to study and have been told that their meeting rooms are available for public use, too. I think the hours are 6am-9pm M-F, 7 – 9 on Sat and 8 – 5 on Sunday.
