I was running a tab. Asked bartender to include people next to me in the round I was ordering. He charged them, which they paid on their credit card. He then proceeded to charge me for same drinks. I questioned it. He called bouncer. I was carried bodily from premises. I’m a 51 year old man in town for a wedding. This place commits fraud. Avoid.

Just surfaced from the river walk and found this lively place because i thought somebody was playing Poison by BBD. to our surprise it was some really good legit karaōke and a dance party going on! this place is a glorious dive where you can let loose and not be judged. perfect for a more chill saturday night !

Cool place, the bartender was nice mix drinks/shots we’re good. they playing good music compare to Texas drink bar and karaōke was ok and the bad thing was the restrooms didn’t have locks on door so you literally have the door while doing your business lol

If you like karaōke and hate long lines to sing but also don’t care how good everyone is, this is a good place to go on a Saturday Only annoying thing were the ladies shoving test tube shots in our faces literally every 2 minutes(not their fault they were just doing their job, someone overstaffed on shot ladies)

Smells like poop. Just seriously, don’t even try to go downstairs because it will just smell more of like human urination and feces. The DJ downstairs is very scary, and plays very dark gangster rap. There was a rat dancing in the middle of the dance floor, and doing the worm. Poop

Now this is a TRUEDIVE! Dingy, a bit dirty(esp. bathrooms), broken stools and tables… BUT it’s one of the few places near the River Walk where you can get cheap drinks and there’s no cover charge. It’s not as scary as it looks. Everyone’s really nice. Check it out!

I liked this place I went there with some folks to kill time: the drinks are cheap, so that’s cool. No dress code, which was great because I had my oakleys, with some jeans and a UFC shirt. It’s a small place and there are a whole bunch of bars there. I liked it, If I pass through the Alamo, I’m going there again.

Its small. I witness a security gaurd throw a innocent man off a flight of stairs because he accidently swiped him with a towel… A TOWEL. There was no warning and It was not fair how that was treated. He could of been seriouly hurt. This guy even apologized but the guard did not give him a chance and disrespected this guy. I will never come here again because i don’t want to get thrown out for breathing the wrong direction

Completely a fun find. The DJ can really DJ and the bartender was just good at making fun shots. I had a great time here with my huge group and the DJ was just a blast.

My conference friends and I stopped in here for a fun time having cheap drinks and singing karaōke. The karaōke bar is down the steps and the dj’s are to the right and they take requests all night long, the guy behind the bar makes some mean drinks with some very cheap specials.

I came here last night to celebrate a friend’s 30th bday. It’s a real chill place w/no dress code, cheap drinks and relaxed environment. It has free karaōke and really comfy seats. Clientele is pretty mixed, a good diverse crowd of black, white and Hispanic people all wanting to have a good time. Though I saw one young dude who kinda looked like trouble but fortunately didn’t start any drama. I also noticed one guy crashing on the couch who obviously had a bit too much to drink. He was asked to leave so the bday girl and her friends can sit down and drink.

My friends & I stopped in for drinks after a disappointment on the 13th Floor! lol… Bar hopping seemed like a great idea and it was. The Liquid Monkey was a cool chill spot to sit, drink, and listen to the DJ do his thang… Took us back in time for a minute but was on point. Drinks were reasonable and did the trick!!! Karaōke downstairs which is a cool addition for those who are bold. No dress code, descent mixed crowd… Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

It’s hard to recommend the Liquid Monkey Lounge. There are some great aspects to it – it’s a decent dive bar with great service and cheap prices. On the other hand, it really is a dive bar – concrete floors and truly disgusting bathrooms.(I’ve seen MUCH cleaner toilets in bus stations!) It’s interesting because it pulls in such a wide variety of folks and is a great place to strike up conversation with others, but with so many drinking options on and off the riverwalk, the Liquid Monkey doesn’t really stand out.

Try the liquid monkey. This place serves cheap drinks, has a great party atmosphere on weekends and has free Karaōke in the basement. What’s not to like? Well, if you’re female, beware of the restrooms. The toliets are almost always busted and have water on the floor. There is usually no paper towels or soap. The guys behind the bar try to keep it up, but I think the owner needs to just call a plumber and fix the problem already!

This place is ok. It’s not as nice in real life as the pictures portray. The crowd is mixed and it’s not a place you’d dress up for but the drinks are good. The perimeter is all seating though which is nice because anyone that comes here is normally barhopping and doesn’t stay here all night so a place to sit for a little bit is nice. Staff is ok and there’s no parking near so you have to park around the block and walk it. It’s better to just go to Pat O’Brien’s two doors down.
