Fuddruckers

Last week during a work convention my coworkers and I grabbed a quick lunch at Fuddruckers near the Alamo. The worker on the street passing out discounted coupons made it an easy choice as nearly 25 hungry people hustled in the doors to grab us a quick lunch.
The restaurant was conveniently located near our conference and sat everyone with decent accommodations. The food was prepared quickly enough and I decided to order some chicken tenders and a drink. The menu didn’t blow me away but I must say that I loved that they took Apple Pay and I think we were given a military discount.
The tenders were okay… nothing to write home to Mom about *but definitely worth writing on Unilocal about* :) … I did eat them solo as I didn’t want their wedge fries and normally I’m a fan of onion rings but just didn’t feel like working an extra hour in the gym to burn them off. Wanting to not to be wasteful I did however utilize the unfinished portion on a salad later that night…
The tenders were worth the price of roughly $ 5.53 and for a quick lunch, I would recommend. Ms. Foodie

Very very disappointing. Essentially totally inedible. I am back in town because we’re trying to complete our relocation to San Antonio, and we’re doing it in stages. Stopped downtown just after arriving from the airport and we were craving a burger. Havent had Fuddruckers in awhile so wanted to give it a shot. In a word, disgusting. Or inedible. You pick. Either way totally horrible. We ordered the ²⁄₃ pound 3 cheese burgers, and they were SO OVERSALTED TO DEATH that whoever was seasoning those burgers before cooking, has no clue what he/​she was doing, or they dropped an entire salt shaker onto the meat, OR, they were trying to cover up some shaky beef. Cant know for sure which it is, but could not even eat 3 bites of that thing. Just disgusting. Those are supposed to be premium burgers and they are not cheap. We’re always happy to pay more for quality, but what they served us was disgusting. 25 bucks for 2 burgers and fries and we had to go elsewhere just to get a meal into us. We had taken them to go so we were already outside, otherwise we would have returned them

Service was good and food was ok. I was expecting more and kind of more in line with Five Guys but this wasn’t close. Bathrooms were FILTHY. wouldn’t recommend this place, probably should have went with a place directly on the riverwalk.

Great customer service! It was clean and organized. Food was delicious! They attended me and my family in a timely mater. I will definetly be returning to this location!

Pretty filthy place overall. Burger was ok but the store was just dirty. A soda vendor worked on a machine that spit drink all over the front area, the condiment bar had bugs flying around, they were out of tea and I asked for help and the worker just looked at me and grunted. I went to wash my hands and the restroom downstairs was stinky and dirty and had pee all over the floor. I doubt anyone monitors the bathroom. Maybe the manager was on vacation or something but the workers seemed to not care about about anything. Go and eat a burger somewhere else, this place is just nasty! GROSS!

Bummer on Monday. They closed an hour early. Boo-​hiss. Change your info!!! If you say your open BE OPEN. I understand if it’s slow but that is just bad business

Manament allowed us to take a table outside to eat with our dogs. Even waiters came out to check on us which I didn’t expect at a fast food joint. Fun place and staff seemed happy! Looks like my family found a new place to eat in SA.

This place is so tasty. I remember going to the one they had MANY year ago in Tampa. Not quite as I remember, but the food was still really yummy. I like that I can dress my burger how I like it.

OMG… This is THE GROSSEST place EVER! If you have any part of any issue
of being a germophobe, then you will freak on this place.
Whataburger and Mcdonalds do 1000 percent better on cleanliness. I was hesitant
when I walked in, but after ordering and watching the carnival, and looking around
on the floor that had 2 weeks of a dirty mop slopped over it, wow.
I could not use to 2 drink fountains that had grime and over 300 kids touch it all day.
I would think someone would think about at least an hour sanitary wipedown of all these public
machines, including the mayo, ketchup, ect. At this time, this place goes down
for one of the nastiest filthy restaurants I have been in. I just cant imagine what the
restrooms looked like~~~~~OUCH!
PARENTS — — — –if you are visiting downtown… dont take your kids to Fudruckers.
Mikky Ds or Whataburger are your best bets, unless you want to miss out on the fun, when you have to stay in the hotel with your sick child.
I have not gotten that visit out of my head yet. Cant imagine how the food is stored.
BEWARE

Out of bread for grilled cheese, out of chicken tenders it 9:00 and they are already out of most everything. The restaurant is nasty, like uncleaned. We went to three other restaurants before here and they had an hour wait but here was not even full. Which I can see why. Will never go back!

Burgers were great, but they got the order wrong, the fries were saturated with grease, there was no ice in either machine, the cashier was rude, and the place was sticky everywhere you went. They took food that had fallen from the plate to the counter and put them back into the main stash with their hands. Oh Gosh… and the restrooms! My son said, «It was like going to the underworld. It smelled so bad and there was a toilet paper trail going up the stairs.» Never eating here again!

The service was great and they had the food my kids wanted. However, the bathrooms stunk and my kids didn’t even want to use their bathrooms. Luckily it was on a different level than where they were serving food or it would have been bad for patron.
The nacho cheese was cold. Their fries were cold.
They did give out a free cookie with the kids’ meals I bought.
But over all it was the bathrooms that really brought down the rating.

Our FIRST Robotics Team 1817 had placed an order for 30 burgers several days before the regional tournament in San Antonio. I went with another parent to pick up the huge order to bring back to the convention center. To our dismay, the order was not ready. However, the manager gave us a reassuring smile and said they would have the order ready in 5 minutes. In 7 minutes we were headed back to the convention center loaded with 30 burgers and all the condiments. Great job Fuddruckers Team!

Fuddruckers sort of cheats in having the World’s Greatest Burgers because you build your own = World’s Greatest Burgers.
What make a great burger or sandwich? For me half of the battle is the bread. They make their own buns.

Definitely have the best choice of burgers for a chain that is basically national.
Looking for something healthy? Try the buffalo/​bison burger. Yeah, it’s made from those animals that Native Americans hunted. No GMO’s, organic and all the rest…, but oh so yummy.
#1 for sure is the person who selects Fuddruckers music. This person selects classic 80’s, a little new wave and I even heard some new Chvrches. World’s Greatest DJ for a National Chain for sure!

Tasty food, good service. Located close to the Alamo.
I ordered the grilled tilapia sandwich and my wife and daughter had some burgers.
The burgers were ordered cooked medium and the came out nice and juicy. The fish was seasoned and cooked just right. No problems with the configurable Coke machines.
Regular Fuddrucker prices. Our food didn’t take too long and our table was cleared for us after we finished our meal.
Note that we came by mid-​afternoon on a weekday and the place was not that busy.

Not a bad place for lunch. The kitchen is fast and the GSR’s are on top of table clean up and milk shakes.

After waiting half an hour for our food our burger came out extremely overcooked and the fries were cold. The soda machines (the kind where you can add extra flavors) were out of almost types of soda and extra flavors, and the ice machine was not working. The employee assigned to fix the machine went right from sweeping (broom still in hand) and stuck his hand right in the ice machine to fix it. This is ironic because the place is, overall, quite filthy and extremely unkept.
Horrible horrible experience, I am so mad we wasted our time and money.

THE WORST FUDDRUCKERS IN TEXAS!!!
If I can give it a zero rating I would. I’m in town to support a conference and my wife and I decided to visit this location. I ordered the chicken tenders and she had a burger n fries. My wife ordered a well done burger n got well done with spots of pink that were all over the middle. I spent the 2 ½ days nursing her due to food poisoning. We’re coming back out this way this month and won’t come anywhere near it.

Depending on what day you go to this location, can severely change your rating. During the week on a non-​holiday isn’t bad at all. Quick service, cleaner veggie bar and the ice machine and condiments are better stocked. Weekend (especially holiday) this place is crazy. Staff is nice, but you’ll be waiting a while to get your food and probably continue to wait for ice and ketchup, etc. Food quality is in line with other Fuddruckers I’ve had.
I did try Fuddrucker’s onion rings for the first time and was severely disappointed. Paid extra for a «large» which was a joke in size. The rings are freshly battered and came out cold. Not room temp, but more stale cold. The price upset me even more.
However, the Rice Krispy Treats are AMAZING!!! I use to come by here just for that while walking downtown.
