My favorite Mexican food restaurant in all of San Antonio. Fresh homemade tortillas, chips and salsa. Seating and parking is limited, so get there early to miss the lunch crowd. Restaurant closes at 2pm everyday except Sunday.

Me and some friends go to breakfast each Saturday. We call ourselves The Breakfast Crew. Trying different spots is our thing. I was tasked to pick this last weekend. So I used Unilocal to find this little gem. The food was great! The place is quaint and has the feel of family. Everyone talks to each other from table to table. We all had something different. The tortillas are so fresh that they reminded me of my grandmas! Hidden spot that does not disappoint!!!

U want to eat in a Mexican kitchen, come to Maria’s. U might have to share ur table. Home cook g u can watch. Not for large crowds. U can smell the cooking S it is happening. More of a intricate dinning experience. Don’t miss it because u have no huevos. Maria is a extraordinary entrepreneur! She makes a brisket that sells out ! Brought my friends here individually and they all wanted to come back for more. Must be patient due to limited staff. Good worth waiting for. Make sure waitress writes down exactly what you want cause she can get busy. Don’t be afraid to yell out for silverware, more coffee, cream etc.

Best homemade Mexican food, and breakfast ! Love this place. Anything you order is made fresh, so it takes a lil time, but the cozy atmosphere helps the time pass. Don’t be surprised if you strike up a conversation with some strangers, as the shared tables aren’t for the«leave me alone» minded…
