I ordered the Original Fatty’s burger. It came with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, and mustard. The buns were a bit sweet like a yeast roll. For my side I had a small order of seasoned fries. Overall the burger and fries were good, but not great. Might try to come back and try something else on the menu.

I had the grilled chicken salad. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it came with cheese. I apologetically asked them for a new salad(because I can’t have cheese). Without hesitation they brought me a new one. They had great customer service and the place was very clean. I’ll definitely go back.

First off tea was not good just start with brew it fresh is my suggestion next time.(fresh lemon) would help too. Chicken burger I had was good, cheese burger was very good. Onion rings greasy. Frozen fries could be improved Service good place clean parking ample Just need to step it up on tea and sides.

Burgers were good and hearty. My son enjoyed it which means we will be back. They offered onion rings too.

Marks Outing has been here for 10 years but never heard of it. I want to come back for more. Not in the best area of town but delicious burgers will draw you to this place. Onion rings and tater tots were double crispy. So many choices and an ice cream burger…

Excellent burgers! Toppings were fresh and they don’t skimp on the cheese. Tater tots are cooked nice and crispy. Make sure to get some free beans while you wait, they are very good. The building doesn’t look like much and it’s kind of a mixed neighborhood, but don’t let that stop you, this is a great place.

Came here for lunch with my wife during a work training down the street. Absolutely loved the burgers. One of the best in SA in my opinion. Free beans too! The staff was so incredibly nice. They make you feel God’s love there.

Mark’s Outing has burgers that are beyond delicious. I am a huge fan of the breakfast burger — eggs are a weakness of mine. FACT. The egg was cooked well and perched oh-so-perfectly on the patty. I just about lost my mind when I found out just how delicious my burger was. The fries were crinkle cut and seasoned just right. The beans are complimentary and are yummy & filling just on its own! The employees are very nice and the price is good for the yummyliciousness that you get.

Best burger I’ve had in years. Juicy and delicious. The place is clean but a little unattractive. But the burgers are truly spectacular. As a bonus you get complimentary unlimited pinto beans while you wait for your food.

My husband took me here a few weeks back. We moved to San Antonio a few months ago, and have been on adventures scoping out the food in our new city. Work friends let my husband know we had to try Mark’s Outing, and they were right. I had the breakfast burger, and my husband had the Heisman. Burger was moist, delicious, and filling. We are both big burger lovers and are always looking for great places to get homemade, unique tasting burgers, and Mark’s Outing is now at the top of our list. I loved the egg on my burger and the rich yolk dripping over every bite made me sad when I was finished. I wanted more! If I had to give any cons, the crinkle fries weren’t my favorite. Could use seasoning and a little more crunch, but I think that is a matter of personal taste. No one can deny they have excellent burgers.

Awesome burgers, cheap prices, and big screen tv to watch the games. What else could you ask for from a mom/pop burger shop?

Without question this would be a regular part of your diet if you lived in the neighborhood. I was in San Antonio with my dolly but she wasn’t feeling well so because the food choices were all mine I followed my gut and set out for a burger. The place was nicer inside than expected but I still had my doubts, in the end I ordered a «fatty’s original» and a second with bacon and cheese.(One burger is enough, just wanted to taste a second for reference) At first the Burger didn’t look like much to cast an eyeball on, but the flavors didn’t disappoint. You’ll get a good sized burger and a very tasty surprise if you get the fries. The bacon and cheese are definately worth the extra nuggets if they are a part of your diet. There is dessert, and it looks decent, but its made off-site and brought in «daily», I skipped it. I also had the seasoned fries, they skimped on the order(large looked like a medium) but they were MYFAVORITEPARTOFTHEMEAL. A Bite more: LOOK for a daily special, they didn’t care to offer it and i noticed it would have saved me some money. Also try the lemonade. No alcohol, not a bad spot for lunch but I probably wouldn’t go for dinner.

Wow… excellent burgers to include fries. Had to go downtown for an appointment and didn’t want Mexican food. Got the special ¼ original burger, drink and fries for $ 7.99 plus tax. Juicy burger and fries. We will be coming back.

This was a spur of the moment decision when visiting a friend in San Antonio. And man, was it a great decision. This place does burgers perfectly. There’s a chili dog on the menu but I don’t know why anyone would do that to themselves and miss out. SO and friend ordered the Heinsman. Friend had been here and knew what was good. S. O devoured his burger just he does everything else we eat. I ordered the Avacado burger. Minus the cheese, pickles, and tomatoes and add a over medium egg. This was perfect. I put my own ketchup on and some more mayo and I made that burger disappear. I can honestly say I’ve never eaten a burger or many other things as fast as I ate this one. This burger was exactly where I parked my car. Oh my goodness gracious. I might not ever get the opportunity to revisit this place. I’m so glad that I was able to go this time. I doubt any burger will ever live up to this one ever again.

Wow! I had never heard of this place until just recently, very clean, roomy dining area and friendly staff. I tried the ½ lb. breakfast burger obviously topped with a fried egg. It was amazing! Nice flavorful thick patty, fresh toppings and thick cut crispy bacon all on a fresh, made in house bun(slightly sweet like the Hawaiian rolls). If you haven’t been you must try! You will not be disappointed.

I drive by Mark’s Outing all the time, I decided to stop in after see their commercial on TV.(It worked) The burger I had was very good. But the side of fires was standard frozen fries, the kind you buy at the grocery store. You’d think that with all the burger joint competition in SA you’d want to make fresh fries. This place has awards on the wall for a restaurant of a different name, I don’t know what thats about, but I was like where’s that place? I drive by a lot because I’m seeing a woman on that side of town, if I stopped seeing her, I doubt I’d make a special trip to Mark’s Outing. But if you’re in the area it’s probably your best bet for dinning out. With a few tweaks, I think Mark’s outing could compete with Big Bob’s and Chris Madrids. This is a local Black Owned business so go show some love!

The meat is cooked perfect and slightly lean with great flavor. I had the bean burger and my wife had the double cheese burger. Bean burger had great texture, meat is cooked just right, the bread compliments the juiciness. Free baked beans were a great ad-on. And the staff was FANTASTIC! We’ll see you again Mark.

Mark’s Outing is a hidden gem next to downtown San Antonio. The music playing was upbeat funk, very nostalgic and the walls pay homage to the Spurs as a hometown favorite. Today, I was feeling adventurous and got the ice cream burger with sweet potatoe fries. The fried ice cream was a sight to behold, as it crowned the rest of the burger, it boldly held its place, as if to say I dare you to eat me. Those first few bites were amazing. I’ll admit it’s a lot to pay for a small burger but it stands out as a one of a kind meal. The fries were crisp and tasty, not too sweet. The lemonade was ok, not overpowering and not watered down, balanced. I would highly recommend this great burger place, the staff provided great service and quality food

Free burgers on National Cheeseburger Day… Thank you! ! We took our food to go, and I didn’t get a chance to chow down in my burger until 2 hours after it was put in my hand, but even after that amount if time it was flippin’ delicious — a burger that I would happily pay for in the future. The meat was thick and juicy, without overwhelming greasiness; the cheese/toppings/meat ratio was spot on; the bun sooo tasty — buttery and almost sourdoughesque — and hefty enough that it remained in tact even after 2 hours of hibernation. The Onion rings absolutely deserve a Big O — I’ll definitely be ordering those on the reg — and the fries were expertly cooked and beautifully seasoned standard frozen crinkles… way to make them shine! I feel like a total beast for kicking a gift burger in the face, but. . Too much Jesus. Not enough A/C. And they seemed slightly unprepared to handle demand.. ordering was quick and smooth, but it took over an hour to receive our food from that point. Natives were getting restless. And grumpy. A situation worsened, no doubt, due to the fact that it was really *really* warm in there. Our food was SO good though, and the rest of the menu looks SO unique — fried ice cream on a burger? ! Yeah. That’s gonna happen to my life, stat — that we’ll definitely be back to explore further.
