Went in for a tour and loved this place so much! I need to tan up so bad… Pretty pale for working day shifts indoors. The beds and service are amazing. Ask for Josh or Shay. They are so sweet and they will get you what you need(products/plans). The other workers seem great as well. The diamond bed is to die for! It has water that mists on your body throughout the session and aromatherapy. The bed is really comfortable as well. I got the plan with the spray tans as well. Can’t wait to try those out!

I moved downtown a year ago and absolutely hate my new tanning place which made me want to write a very positive review of my old tanning place(this one!) because I miss it so much. First off, the girls that work at the front are so nice! Any time I had questions about my account, lotions, or different beds, they were always helpful. Yes, I admit, they try to get you to buy add ons and whatnot, but in my opinion they are polite about it and they are just doing their job. I even put my account on hold for two months during my transition to moving downtown and the process was simple and the girl was friendly about answering all my questions. The beds and rooms were always clean and I rarely had to wait for a room to become available. This location is too far for me to drive but I miss it!

I’ve tanned at two other tanning salons in my previous years, however this particular one is the BEST. The girls are always so friendly as well as Josh. The facility is always very well kept and getting a bed cleaned is always so quick. I enjoy tanning here so much that I never want to leave! Would definitely recommend to anyone — which I always do!

When I first started spray tanning, I was SUPER scared of being«orange» so I would only spray once a month IF that. I would also only do a light in the mystic. I used to prefer the Bandera Rd PBT, but I began to notice a huge change. I love that when I walk in whoever is working seems so happy to be there. Its not everyday you see people happy to be working, but I am always greeted warmly and usually by name. I have never had a bad experience here. EVER! The employees are always super sweet and helpful.

Good price and service. They have nice little rewards. I don’t like it when they try to sell stuff and try to do it twice when you already said no.

My very first visit to sign up I dealt with Adrianna? and she was AWESOME. Very knowledgeable about the beds and she was friendly. There were some very rude women that were signing up with me for new memberships that were being really ugly to her about the wait and how busy she was. They kept making rude comments but she kept it professional and was really sweet. Do not know if I could have done the same as rude as those ladies were to her. Kudos for sure on that !!!

The salon is simplistic and the location is well placed, The lovely employees that work here are knowledgeable, loquacious, and personable. I feel like all the employees that work here have recently graduated from Tan College. The manager is fastidious about the details and is accommodating in her persona as leader. In short I like it here.

on 4÷29÷15 i started a membership package to palm beach tan. i was charged 123.51 for«start up fees» and the per month service price for a mystic spay tan, an excelerator, a sport scent, and a bronzer. the staff member that assisted me informed that a previous membership i had from 2011 had an outstanding balance of 129.85. they explained that in 2011 they made 3 attempts to bill my bank card, and that after 3 failed attempts to collect, they closed my membership account. while they proceeded with my enrollment on 4÷29÷15. they told me that rather than initiate a new account, my previous account from 2011 would be continued allowing me the same monthly payments as before of 49.95 per month. the payments would be automatically deducted from my bank account using my bank card on file. i did not learn until later that the per month price i was quoted was not including tax. the staff member did not fully disclose all the itemized charges for the mystic spray tan. i was sales pitched with very rapid, pressured speech. additional«items» to the package were presented as all inclusive with the package. i was never informed that any additional items were at an additional price, for example some of the bronzers. i was told that i could alter the products of my mystic tan to find what shade i liked at no additional cost. there is no visible price menu for the services, no information that any up sales on the membership products are at additional cost. the only information to reveal cost is verbal disclosure, by a sales and commission based employee. i used the mystic spray tan booth that one day on 4÷29÷15. i had poor results from the«mocha» colored bronzer, as it has red tones. my skin is fair with red undertones as well. the result was very artificial causing me to appear orangy red. i called the huebner store to report the results and was told that honey kissed bronzer had gold tones, and that a note would be attached to my account to insure use of that bronzer on any successive visits. on 5÷8÷15 i paid 129.85 per palm beach tan’s claim of an outstanding balance from 2011, however, i questioned the charge after submitting payment when reviewing their advertisment of no contracts, and no long-term commitments posted not only on their store front windows, but also on their website. i also questioned the required«start up fee» when my account had been reactivated. on 2 occassions after 4÷29÷15 i went to the store at huebner road to do a mystic tan using the honey kissed bronzer. both times i was told that the bronzer i wanted with golden tones was out of stock. the staff wanted to switch bronzers on me, and kept trying to cajole me into changing bronzers. i repeatedly told them that i could not, and did not want to use a red toned bronzer. another store was called, and the honey kissed bronzer was located at 1604 and bandera. this bronzer was pulled, and held for me. on 5÷8÷15, i drove 23 minutes to the bandera store which is located further away from the huebner store. when i approached the front counter i was asked if i had paid for the cartridge of honey kissed bronzer yet… at the other store, or if i needed to pay them. it was then that i was told that the bronzer i had requested, and drove 23 minutes to use was at an additional cost. i was absolutely livid! i determined at that point that between the unavailability of requested products pitched, but not provided… having to drive 23 minutes away to locate the product to use, being shell shuffled with services vs. cost, being charged 123.00 for start up fees for a reactivated account that it would be best to cancel my membership. i canceled my membership at the 1604& bandera location, however i was told that none of the 123.00 i paid just 9 days ago would be credited to me, even though i only used the service one time! i wish i could give this place a negative 20 stars… also is it an employment prerequisite for the girls to pitch their voice to sound as though they just sucked on a hellium balloon, and use valley girl cadence and«up talk» where every statement sounds like a question? Addendum…In all fairness, I must add that on 5÷13÷15 Palm Beach Tan decided to refund 99.95, and 129.85…minus the cost of one mystic tan, which is fair. I did not expect this outcome, and will rescind my complaints made to the FTC… Attny. Gen. Consumer Complaints, and Better Business Bureau…

I love coming here to actually friendly employees that are always ready to help. The beds are clean. I have done the lay down and stand up beds. Haven’t tried the sunless tanning. The lotions I’ve gotten have worked great and I didn’t need need to worry about breaking out. I feel great and I love my tan. I would definitely recommend this place if you are a novice or a regular tanner. Looking forward to trying the new line of lotions when it’s time to stock up again.

Love love LOVE tanning here! The beds are clean and the staff is wonderful! All the girls are really sweet and take the time to explain the difference between certain lotions. Will continue to go here as long as it’s open!

All I have to say is, when you’re selling something you can get for free, the competition is stiff and the sales pitches are far from pithy. I can only be grateful that bottled water is sold in stores and not door-to-door. So here in lies my gripe. I already paid to tan here, I already have your lotion, can I just come in to tan now? QUIT trying to sell me on something you’ve already gotten paid on. GAH. Simmadownnah! I also got a huge rash from tanning in a bed — totally a heat rash(nothing nasty), but it forced me to use stand up beds. They are all pretty clean and well kept, and I think their little vanity with hairspray, deodorant, q-tips, and chongos is very sweet and goes the extra mile! Most of the little valley girls that greet you are pretty sweet, albeit hipster and oh so tan… walking billboards, I suppose. TIP: Try the samples of lotions before you buy a full one(at about $ 40 — $ 100). They are $ 10 and can help make sure you don’t get the rashy rash thing I got. EW.

I don’t tan anymore but I used to religiously and Palm Beach Tan was one tanning salon that I tried and loved. It’s a huge facility so if you go in, you may have to wait a few minutes for the bed you want but most of the time, you get in and you get out. Sometimes they have really good specials and if you join at the right time, you might pay significantly less than what it usually costs other people. The staff here is really friendly, it’s always the same handful of people, they alternate but they are all so helpful. I also love that they aren’t trying to sell you things all the time. There are four different levels of tanning and the price depends on whether you do pay-as-you-go or a commitment for x amount of months. It’s really nice that they don’t try and up sell you, if you go in there with the mindset of getting something, don’t go against it. The tanning supplies here are pricey. I tried to look at the ones they had and they would tell me the most popular and the best ones, so I’d go home and look them up on Ebay or Amazon and find them for like $ 20 cheaper and buy them through there! I also love that this particular salon has a really large vanity area in the back with hair supplies, hair accessories, etc. in case you have somewhere to go and you want to fix your hair. ;)
