Placed an order online today, and went to the Bandera to pick up. Because of the time of day, it was pretty quiet inside, and I didn’t have to wait long to get my order. Walked in, paid, and walked out in 5 minutes. My order was ready, and it was hot. I still enjoy eating at the restaurant more than I like to go orders, but they make it easy.

This whole year 2015 the food here has become subpar. Before it was delicious. Now it’s overly spicy, lettuce wraps taste burnt, very dry food. Not sure what happened but they need to fix it quick! Don’t order sesame chicken.

Eehh. Hate to give a bad review because we’ve been to this location before, as well as one in Austin and bit had issues. Our last experience here was barely worth 2 stars. Ordered online, got there and waited 15 minutes for our food, only to find out it had been ready and sitting the whole time — no one bothered to look and they weren’t even very busy. We paid extra to add veggies to both meals but there were so few veggies in each dish, you could load them all up in one child, greasy forkful. Do yourself a favor — drive one extra mile to Yum Thai across the highway. For 2⁄3 the price of Pei Wei, you can get a bigger, fresher, higher quality meal from staff who actually give a crap.

The food here is heinous. I don’t know why anyone would pay money to put this garbage into their mouths.

Ordered my food via telephone and there was no customer service. As soon as she told me what time my food would be ready, she immediately said«ok bye.» She sounded bothered and was rude.

I love how you can call in an order and just say, «I’ll have the usual» My family is so picky with what they like and don’t like so it’s nice that their computer records your last purchase.

I called this place to redeem my order they screwed up a week ago. The women that took my call made no note of the experience. Thankfully the mgr on duty took my word as a regular customer! Shame on the day Manager at this location.

We love Pei Wei. It’s easy, it’s fresh, it’s delicious and it isn’t expensive. We most often do take out but eat in sometimes too. It’s casual, but we like it.

Love the food but too bad the manager has decided to verbally discipline two employees in the dining room for the last 15 minutes & it doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon :(. Not pleasant lunch conversation. There’s a time & a place dude!

A good place to get some spicy curry and options of protein in a quick bite. It gears more towards fast food than it does fine dining, but it hits the spot and there are alot of options. The brown rice is awesome.

I’ve managed to avoid Pei Wei for quite some time, but today Chick fil A next door was just way too busy. My son wanted Pei Wei *sigh* As usual the service was dreadful, the guy that was taking our takeout order was rude, disgusting and looked dirty. We were overcharged for our lunch which was a VERY skimpy portion. This is the Burger King of fast food ‘Chinese’. I actually feel like that is an insult to BK. I will never return. My son will have to go on his own if he is so inclined.

I am addicted. The staff is nice. And the food is great! I really eat this once a week. Convenient and the food is exactly what you get.

Their menu has changed and everything is more expensive now. We ate at the same location 2 months earlier and our entrees were 7.25 with loads of leftovers. This visit, our entrees were 7.99 and the plates were actually smaller in size. Not a very good value any longer and will not be coming back. Adding insult to injury, they have now watered down their soy sauce. Watery soy sauce is not very good. They no longer have spicy mustard available either. Looks like Pei Wei is maximizing profit and minimizing my visits to nil.

You go to Pei Wei for a quick, non-eventful, comfortable experience knowing that the food will be fast, hot, delicious albeit not the most authentic Asian food around. I’m typically very happy with my experiences at Pei Wei restaurants and this review is for THISSPECIFICLOCATION on Bandera, not the others. We usually go to the Huebner location and have never had an experience like the one I’m about to explain. We walked in and there wasn’t much of a line, but ordering took some time since they had introduced an entirely new menu since our last visit. The family in front of us had 5 people and a lot of questions, but we had a lot of inquiries too, so I wasn’t upset about the wait to order. We ordered 2 appetizers(were told they’d come out first, as usual) and 2 main courses. The problem started at the drinks and condiments counter — the silverware was practically empty, there weren’t any napkins, and the Green tea was nothing but water. It was hard to find a table because the place was busy, but there were open seats, at least 4 tables, that were covered in sticky old noodles, half eaten plates of food, condiment wrappers and trash. We had to wait for someone to clean a table and when they did, they left it sopping wet from the nappy looking dishrag he used to clean it — since there were no napkins, we couldn’t try it off and tried not to touch it while we waited for our food. Our entreees came FAST that’s for sure… before our appetizers. When we inquired about the appetizers the very nice man said he’d check. A few minutes later my edimame came out. When my husband was finished with his main course, his appetizer won ton soup came. I did have to use the restroom while I was there and it turned me off more than the rest of the place. I don’t expect to see a spic and span restroom in a high traffic fast food joint, but this was beyond gross. There was no toilet paper to be found in either stall and there were paper towels and used clumps of tissue on the ground. The one thing that actually«worked» in the entire restaurant was the automatic flushing toilet that proceeded to spray the back of my capri leggings and bare calves with used toilet water… uuggghh. We will not be returning to this location. We’ll stick with what we know — the location on Huebner is quick, gets our order correct and in the correct order, and clean.

I am accustomed to PW menu, and«fast casual» level of service. over about three years of visits I’ve noticed that my wife is never able to get a salt shaker or packet, if she asks she might get a small bowl that is hard to use. The fountain drinks have not been an option on more than 2 occasions, but overall, a good choice for a moderate non hamburger night.

I wouldn’t mind if every Pei Wei were replaced with it’s older brother, PF Chang’s. Pei Wei certainly serves a purpose but the food doesn’t match the price.

I have been here at least a dozen times and have tried something different EVERY time I visit. Although the service is great and the place is clean, i just can’t seem to find something that makes me want to keep coming back for more. This changed today though when I tried the Korean BBQ plate. I have FINALLY found a favorite dish at this place! The quality of the food is always high, but most of it seems to have the same«seared» flavor. It doesn’t give it a bad taste, it just gives it all the«same» taste and I think this is why it has taken me so long to find a favorite dish here. I haven’t given up yet — I will try again, and on my next visit I will order the same item two times in a row — Korean Beef BBQ for the win!!!

Pei Wei is good, not GREAT, but good. Very consistent but nothing to get too excited about. I typically get the pad thai when I order although I’ve tried other dishes as well. If you have a big appetite it is sure to be satisfied as the portions are quite large.
