Came here because it had great reviews. They weren’t wrong. Cute little sandwich shop in the medical center. Quick and inexpensive. I had the California club with potato soup. Recommend it, really tasty!

Good place for fast lunch. I was craving soup and salad. They were all out of salad except for spinach so I opted for the most ordered sandwich«avocado chicken.» The interior design needs some help, if I hadn’t read good reviews for their food I would have probably walked out. The tables in there are way crowded and their really isn’t any style here. The soup de jour was also out. The cashier suggested the Avocado chicken sandwich. I sat outside the food came out nicely presented. The sandwich was good but not great. The chicken was seasoned well and the avocado slices were fresh and generous but I didn’t care for the plain mayonnaise smothered so heavily on the bread, and the actual bread itself was plain and too crunchy. The French onion soup was good, but I really hate when soup comes out luke warm. I wanted to go back in and have them heat it up but wasn’t worth the trouble the soup cup is very small. Next time I will definitely say something. I will have to give this place another try someday and order something more unique and try another soup.

Let me start off by saying this might single handedly be my favorite sandwich spot in all of San Antonio. It is far from ordinary. Each sandwich has its own unique taste. The soups are incredible, my personal favorite is the French onion. The atmosphere it beyond relaxing and the employees are all very sweet and helpful. The blonde cashier is just as sweet as their amazing brownies. I recommend getting,“The Upstream” which has Salmon. Mind you it is hot NOT cold but hot.

Location is great– just walk across the street from the health science center. I only had the black bean burger and it was delicious! I just wish they had more vegetarian options– a lot of the soups aren’t vegetarian friendly.

I needed to update my review, just because… Sandwich De Paris has been making my heart super happy for over 10 years now. I absolutely love this place and it gets better each time. The same woman greeting you at the register and the prompt service you receive cannot be beat. On top of that, the food is absolutely delicious and they are constantly doing featured sandwiches to change up the menu a bit. Overall, I just love this place. If you go to the Medical Center or live near and you have not been here, you should be ashamed! :)

Me and a friend stopped in here yesterday for a quick lunch and everything was very good! The French onion soup was delicious as was my sandwich! I got the herb chicken sandwich and my friend got the chicken avocado and both were great, staff is also friendly and helpful.

So I’ve seen this place before picking up a prescription for my wife. I found myself at Methodist for the birth of my son and wanted something that wasn’t hospital food. The location was convenient, I didn’t have to take my car out if the parking garage, I just walked there. I saw on the Menu a porkbelly sandwich, out of pork belly I asked the gentleman behind the counter what he would recommend and I took his advice. I received a streak sandwich with Japanese style steak, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes with a refreshing vinaigrette. It was to die for. I don’t remember the name of the sandwich but it was delightful. I wish there was another location, as I don’t find myself in the medical center very often. I see myself coming back to try the porkbelly. 10⁄10.

Updating a previous review. If you’ve been to any small, fresh walk up sandwich shop in Paris, then you know exactly what to expect(minus the glass of wine). Each time I bring a friend, they are impressed by the freshness, quality, and excellent breads. Still relatively unknown, it is an easy walk from the VA or UTSA med center that allows time for a relaxed lunch.

I really wish they opened on the weekends. I would be here almost every weekend. I’ve tried pretty much all the flavors(even the veggie) and my favorite is the chicken herb royale. It’s obvious they use high quality ingredients for the sandwiches. The meat is always really tender and well seasoned. The sauces compliment the sandwiches perfectly. And you know sandwich place is good when they get the bread right. This bread is crispy on the outside(without cutting your gums) and perfectly chewy inside. The only thing I would avoid is the daily soup. I’ve never had good soup here. It’s always watered down and tasteless. It’s very strange to me that the soup would be so terrible when the sandwiches are so good. The brownies are good but nothing to write home about. The lace cookies are also pretty good but a little too sweet for me. Overall though, it’s the sandwiches that matter and I think this place has the best sandwiches in all of San Antonio.

Nice and cozy, casual sandwich spot. Tried both the herb royale and dickens avocado. Herb chicken was great and highly recommended. Prices are reasonable, give this place a try!

Grabbed a quick bite here after a medical appointment. Had the hot Chicken Avocado Sandwich, cup of French onion soup, and a bottle of Maine Root Beer. Crusty French bread for the sandwich was amazing. Sandwich had very good taste, but too much cilantro for my taste(I took out a lot from the sandwich so no big deal). Ingredients seemed quite sparse, but again, tasty. Soup was disappointing. Very little cheese and excessively sweet(even for French onion). Service was good and prompt. Overall 3.5 stars, would eat there again and ask for less cilantro next time and try a different soup.

Very very disappointed with this place. Albeit their food is alright, and they have done a descent job on a few catering orders that I had delivered to the Hospital across the street. However, service blows my mind. Just asked if the had Decaf coffee… No sorry, ok I’ll have a regular, oh sorry there is 5 $ min on cards. What??? Is this communist Russia. After all the patronage I have showed these guys, in the few short months that I have been here, they nickel and dime you coffee and a couple percentage points on your transactions. These people clearly have no idea how to do business… and their smug hipster attitude needs to GTFO! Stinks, too, I was one of there biggest fans, but after the service that I have received in my past two visits, don’t know that I can bring my self to go back.

This place is amazing! They are only open weekdays 7a-3p. And nearing the end of service, they can tend to run out of items. The bread is excellent. I love the chicken salad sandwich especially. French onion soup is great. Chowders and potato soups are also well loved. Whenever they have their lemon ricotta cookie, I always end up grabbing an extra to save for later. You order at the counter. A line can quickly form very quickly at lunch! The line goes pretty quickly though. You seat yourself with a table number, and they bring out your food to you. They have a tables inside and 3 tables outside, but overall it’s still a small restaurant, so it might be hard to find seating when busy. You clear down your own table. Staff is always very friendly! This is one of the best restaurants in San Antonio. Affordable and delicious!

I am very disappointed. Found an insect in my salad! Really, I have been eating from this restaurant for 1 year, so how many insects have I eaten when I have not saw them? Having this restaurant in my country, it will be already shout down by gov.

Then God said, «There shall be a Sandwich de Paris,» and there was Sandwich de Paris. God saw that the Sandwich was good, and separated the Sandwich de Paris from the Subway. So, maybe that’s a bit hyperbolic, but this is legit. They are only open for half of the day because they know they got game. Like, why even work that hard when you’re that good, right? Try everything off the menu, and make sure you get a brownie. Phone it in though if you’re going for lunch, because you may have to wait a bit.

Worth the wait on busy days! So on any weekday during the lunch rush you’ll get stuck in a line behind tons of people in scrubs, but in this area of town you should be used to it. The line moves quickly and the cooks are fast. Upon walking in you’re smacked in the face with a wonderful smell of toasting bread and grilled veggies and meats. Each day they have a special written on their boards which is 100% of the time the correct choice. The«tsuki»(tsukomono: grilled ribeye, julienned carrots, cucumbers, cilantro) is very popular, and rightly so because it is a very fresh and delicious bahn mi in disguise. I’ve also done their cheesesteak, which is really good, and you HAVE to get the french onion soup, it’s just barely almost borderline too salty, the way that it should be.

I had read a lot of great reviews about this place so I was quite excited to try it! I will preface my opinion by sharing that my party arrived at 230 and the sandwich shop closes at 3pm. I realize they were probably working on closing up. I also will say that from the name I thought I might be discovering an authentic Parisian eatery, you know how hard it is to find those tasty little restaurants! That being said, I always find it odd when an eatery is 86’ed on the item they are most known for. No french onion soup! The other soup of the day choice was Vegan Chili, which one person did order but didn’t voice an opinion which I’m assuming means it was neither horrible or stellar. I was bummed they weren’t offering the tomato basil I had read about. Alternate side choices were salad or bagged Lay’s chips. Since my only original item was the sandwich, that is where I must base my review. I ordered the Italiano, which was decent. The only part that made it more tasty than the Subway sandwich I had eaten the day before was the baguette style bread. Delicious! One party members ordered the daily special Thai-tanic«sink you hunger» Burger and chicken avocado club sandwiches. The deli meat tasted fresh. My order came out incorrect, as I had asked for no chews or mayo, but since they were about to close I didn’t want to bother them to remake it. It’s a preference, not something I can’t necessarily eat. Luckily the mayo wasn’t too thick or wet on the sandwich. Overall it was an average sandwich on delicious bread. If someone asked for a good sandwich shop in the Medical Center area, I might direct them here to try it! Rating system: 5 stars = I’ll drive across town specifically for this, and rave to all my friends about it! 4 stars = Would return and recommend. 3 stars = Indifferent, average, acceptable. 2 stars = You could drag me here unwilling. 1 star = I will not be returning.

My hubby and I decided to check this lace out after a dr appt. Good olé Unilocal helped me find this place. Once we entered, we were immediately greeted by friendly staff and saw a «daily special» board. We decided to or off of the regular menu. I ordered the cheese steak with a vegetable bisque. The cheese steak was pretty tasty and the bread(I think they make their own bread) was super delish. The soup was really good!!! My hubby ordered the California club and the hour salad. Omg, his sandwich was soooooo gooood! I was actually super jealous that I didn’t order that! Overall, very good place and I’ll be heading back to that place for lunch. Btw, I made an exception to eat glutens just to check out this place!

Really, truly delicious. Now that I’ve eaten here a couple of times I can say this with confidence. Sandwiches on the menu, obviously. Good choices for vegetarians, if that’s your thing. The coconut«chicken» is my favorite right now. The black bean veggie burger is savory, although I would request more beans. The bread here is very fresh, I’m not sure if it’s homemade, but I love it. The variety of sandwiches is unique, I haven’t seen one I wouldn’t try and probably enjoy. Sriracha available! Oh yes, and French onion soup… Yum! Service is friendly and polite. Order at the counter and they’ll serve you. It’s nothing fancy, focus on the sandwich!

I’ve had Sandwich De Paris on my bookmarks for YEARS, people. But, it has cutesy European hours, which makes it tough for a working woman like me to meander over there. I finally made it! I decided to stop by to pick up a late lunch(1ish) and it was still fairly crowded thanks to the Medical Center crowd. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly & enthusiatically greeted by an adorable blonde with her long hair in a side braid & a black & white horizontal striped long-sleeved shirt on — oh, how Parisian! I ordered the sammie of the day — meatloaf on a toasted baguette with your choice of «regular» aioli or chipotle aioli. I’m not a regular gal & fun blonde said chipotle is better so that was an easy selection. Soups of the day were French Onion & Roasted Butternut Squash. I luckily«86-ed» the butternut squash soup. I only waited about 5 minutes & my to-go order was ready! I’m not a big meat or meatloaf fan, but the meatloaf was oh-so-good, y’all. Very garlicy(I always say there’s no such thing as too much garlic, tho) & the chipotle aioli married perfectly with the meat! The baguette — even after my 10 minute commute — was perfectly toasted & buttery. I ate half cause the meatloaf was very hearty & filling. The butternut squash soup… mmm! Very simple & I loved the fresh cilantro on top! I’ll need to take more days off so I can eat at Sandwich De Paris more frequently, for sure.
