Sierra Vista Apartments

Don’t be fooled, NOT A RETREAT, this place is AWFUL. Worse place I have ever lived in my life. Parking is awful, management is unkind, and not at all managing. The maintenance people are nice, and are expected to do all the work with like three people on their staff. It’s a shame because my apartment is nice, too bad it is INFESTED WITH ROACHES. The previous manager did not mention any pest issue, and our apartment is infested. It is awful because I have spent my hard earned money on an apartment that is breaking leasing laws. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Roach infested and disgusting, and loud.

They have recently changed their name to The Retreat At Medical Center, please DO NOT be fooled by this new name. There is no retreat whatsoever here. My lease will be up in a couple of months and I can’t wait to leave. Cops are always here, Maintenance is never able to repair breakdowns the first time they show up always having the excuse they just ran out of part and have ordered them. How sad because the location is good. The pool was shut down most of last summer and when opened it had such a horrible smell to it. They are supposed to have a 10 p.m. noise ordinance in place but never enforce it. When I moved in I was told we have ONSITE security and we do not. When I complained they told me call 911. Everything I was told when shown the apartment was lies and misinformation. They have some new office people but they are so young the need to learn what the rental laws of our city are.
Then there is the cable fee of 41.00 that is forced on everyone. I never watch TV and when I do it’s Netflix or Yahoo movies. How unfair it is to force everyone to be customers of Time Warner.
If an apartment locator even suggests this complex… RUN!!! You will regret it

If I could give this place a no star rating I would. We moved here from the north eastern U.S. and never experienced any thing like it. It may seem cheap and convenient to main thorough fares, but it is not worth it. Things have improved ever so slightly, since new management, but not enough. There is no parking, laundry facilities never work, and there are police here far too frequently. My biggest gripe is that you must pay for cable through M3, $ 41 a month for basic, and its not included through Time Warner in any bundles. I use Netflix, and have no need for janky overpriced cable. I wish I had investigated more thoroughly before we signed our lease. As soon as we pulled in my husband said lets go somewhere else, but we had just completed a 1500 mile road trip with kids, so here we are. Bright side my lease is almost up!
