I would have given them one star, but they totally screwed up our order and we got tons of food we didn’t order. I went back to return it, but they just said to keep it. WORD! The lobby and salsa station had dirty napkins on the floor and salsa spilled. Live and learn… I guess.

I used to come here a lot, but not so much anymore. The smell from the bathrooms is constant and overwhelming. The smell never seems to leave, it’s almost like a sewer leak mixed with bleach. Plus they lost a lot of the awesome people who used work there, and all the new people take forever and are rude. I have short hair and was yelled in front of everyone for entering the women’s restroom because they thought I was a man and called me sir… extremely embarrassing. Plus the food recently is sloppily thrown together and tastes so blan. The beans seem to be old and tasted rotten. I would much rather spend my money at the jalisco across the street.

This TC location is impeccably clean. The service was excellent. The gentleman who took our order was very polite and the server who brought our food to the table was courteous and asked if we needed anything else. Later, another gentleman came to check on us. I really appreciate that. I don’t eat at TC very often but I love their brisket taco plate. This location made lunch even better with the great service.

Ok. So Taco Cabana is NOT where you go for good food. It’s where you go for quick, OK food. I’ll have to say, most of our food was GARBAGE. Disgusting, weird, not good at all. I almost didn’t eat my street tacos, the steak looked a little funny. What saved the day was the BRISKETTACOS. I LOVED the brisket tacos. I even returned to get more brisket tacos. I’m not sure what makes them good, maybe the seasoning, maybe the tenderness. I don’t know. I will not order anything else but these brisket tacos, but I will return.

Came in on 12÷14÷14 and waited almost a solid 5 minutes by myself at the register. It wasn’t until the line was just about out the door that someone came to take my order(Fransisca). She was fast when she finally arrived but the food took a LONG time to come out. By the time I took the plate to my seat both my wife and my orders were already room temp at best. Place was pretty dirty to top it all off. Probably will not come back to this location and will inform others to do the same. Stinks because of its good location.

Chicken Flautas are wonderful, fresh and crispy. Only problem, the coffee tasted old and burned.

I came here twice in as many days. It’s often my first choice when I need something quick on my way home. I generally wouldn’t review this place because a) it’s fast food and b) most San Antonians know what TC is like, but a unique experience has prompted me to write. The location itself is nothing special. It looks just like every other older Taco Cabana. It not the nice kind with the fuschia and brown color scheme. It’s a little dingy, but overall clean and open. I almost always opt to use the drive thru, but on my most recent experience, my friend and I just really wanted a margarita and they don’t let you drive off with those. So we parked, walked in, and ordered. The cashier asked if we were 21, checked our IDs and served us our drinks. We also ordered a large bean and cheese nachos to stave off our hunger pangs after a less than stellar experience at a different restaurant. We looked at our number and sat down at a table to chat and wait for our snack. We waited, and we waited and we waited. About 20 minutes later, my friend gets frustrated and goes up to the counter to see what the delay was. The cashier was surprised our food still wasn’t out. This is where they took a poor experience and turned it into an OK experience. They explained that somehow the ordered had been marked done, but it never came out. They apologized for the mix up and asked how they could make it better/offered compensation. About 2 minutes later, we were given our nachos along with 2 bean and cheese tacos too make up for the delay. When our food was delivered, we received additional apologies. In my opinion that was handled exactly as it should have been. They made no excuses, they just wanted to make things better.

Thank you Taco Cabana for supporting the Spurs and for the delicious hooked-up Bacon and Egg taco! It was a great breakfast! #gsg

Those of you who follow my reviews know that I rarely review chains, let alone fast food places, but I’ve always appreciated Taco Cabana for a quick bite because their prices are good and the quality is much better than another national chain with the word«Taco» in the front of their name. I have been in this particular TC on quite a few occassions, after all it’s just around the corner from my house. The food has always been up to par, but this last time the service was the standout. I walked in and up to the order bar and was greeted by a young man who was dillegently running food out to hungry diners. He told me that he’d be with me in just a moment. Knowing that he was busy I reassured him with a «No worries». He came back to take my order with his thanks for my patience. I placed my order, and while I was waiting he and I made small talk about the upcomming Superbowl and that we were both pulling for the Ravens. As he put the final touches on my order he told me that he gave me some complementary chips and queso to thank me again for my pateince. I thanked him and he replied that he was the new Manager-in-training at that location, and that if I ever needed anything to come to him. I thanked himand told him that he was off to a great start. He thanked me and told me alittle about his philosophy. He said«It’s the little things that we can do thatmake a customer’s experience memorable and will influence them to come back.» He told me that he was working to instill that in his crew. I told him to keep up the good work and that I’ll see him again.

I always get the mexican plate(rice, beans, enchilidas, and crispy taco. I can’t vouch for the rest of the food. Breakfast is ok not the best. Overall not to bad for fast food mexican. Love the salsa bar.

This is a typical Taco Cabana with a the small patio layout. The reason for my review is that the drive thru experience lacks in customer service and quickness. I realize that it could be a busy location but even when there is not a line at the drive thru I still have to wait for fast food. There is something wrong especially since everything is made.
