The plates are huge! The food is great! They have Mexican desserts also. The tortillas are homemade. Great place

Love the food, sweet and inviting staff. It’ll be useful to speak Spanish but is not necessary by any means. Today I had the carne asada tortas. It was a good amount of food and very flavorful. In the past I have had their tacos as well and have never been disappointed.

Love this place… I highly recommend the carne asada, the caldo de pollo, and of course, the fresh squeezed lemonade. The caldo is as good as my mom’s, but don’t tell her that!

If you love tasteless food and unhelpful waitresses this is your place to eat! I can’t believe I still left a tip! This is a sorry restaurant it used to be really good in the past don’t know what happened.

Have eaten at Taqueria Arandas many times with my wife and co-workers for lunch since 2005. At here for breakfast for the first time last week. This is where I tell everyone from JBSA Lackland to eat if they want to eat REAL Mexican food. It’s a divey spot with typical Mexican kitschy décor and TVs showing godawful Latino TV shows. The menu is vast and features an array of authentic, tasty, fresh Mexican offerings all at dirt cheap prices. Don’t let the neighborhood or nasty parking lot scare you off(well, perhaps if you’re a completely arrogant jerk you shouldn’t eat here). OVERALL: EXCELLENT. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED.

This is a true hole in the wall(nothing bad about that) and you know what they say about those, they have the BEST food ever and this is one of them. When family is in mood for good mex food this is where we come. The place it self is nothing to look at. Service is ok. Workers are nice. Bad side of town and sometimes seedy people go in there, but I go there for the great food. Some days it is jam packed. Military base is near by and they know this is good food so it is sometimes filled with airmen(or air personnel). they added a parking space so that is good. But I am rambling now, I love their enchiladas and beef tacos, Not a fan of their puffy tacos as they make the corn tortilla into a small bowl and you eat it that way(sounds like a good idea, until it falls apart and hard to pick up and put in mouth). I like the traditional thick masa taco shaped, corn tortilla. The carne asada is great as well as their carne guisada. All i can say it just try it once.

Came to Taqueria Arandas on my first night in San Antonio, Texas. I ordered Chimichangas and Guacamole. The food was delicious. They have a variety of food on the menu and have a delicious lemonade. The food is not expensive and is place is big enough for a groups. The restaurant was clean and great service. Will post pictures soon.

I have just moved to the San Antonio area and was happy to find this place. The food is good. The rice and beans were consistent in flavor both times I have eaten here. I have had the enchiladas, and a fajita quesadilla taco. The horchata was very good, and not watered down at all, unlike some other places I have been. I haven’t tried everything on the menu, but I look forward to eating here for a while yet.

Arandas… you have got me @ your horchata. Everything else was pretty mediocre.

I have been to this place a few times, and everytime I find myself regretting it. The quality of meat that they serve is horrid, I dont think that I have seen more fat in a taco than a dish I ordered from here. The taste is OK, but you can really tell that they buy the absolute cheapest ingredients. There are other places around that are better if you search.
