I’m giving an extra star for the unwavering consistency of quality and service. Tv seems to be on ksat 12 most mornings. The structure that became this taqueria has been through many alterations since about 1985 when it was a Fajita Junction, insurance agency and burger joint(added patio), followed by a taqueria(enclosed patio), and changed names a few times.

This is my favorite breakfast spot. Great friendly service, large portions and the corn tortillas are amazing. The place is small so there’s usually a wait time to dine in or take-out and parking can be complicated but if you can get passed that, it’s certainly worth it. My favorite are the papa Rancheras, haven’t found any other restaurant that makes them this tasty.

Some of the friendliest servers I’ve ever encountered. Chiliquilies are awesome for breakfast, add some chorizo and it gets better. Daytime, bring on the Tortas! Pastor is the best, beef fajita a close second. Not fancy, but you can’t taste fancy.

Good food. Healthy portions at a good price. Limited seating. I’ll return to this tiny eatery.

I’ve been here a handful of times and the food is decent. Today I went through the drive thru and as per usual, the wait is long. I’ve actually waited longer when I’ve come so eh, it wasn’t too bad. I waited about 15 minutes this time. I understand that they normally take long so the time wasn’t an issue for me. However, when I wait this long I expect the order to be correct. Once I got home I noticed that the order was wrong so I called to see what my options were. First, the lady argued with me about what I had ordered and INSISTED that I didn’t order it correctly. Then, she said that I couldn’t get a refund, the difference, or the item that was missing. So basically I would have been charged about $ 8.00 for some basic bean and cheese nachos. I had originally ordered the beef, bean and cheese nachos. After several minutes of her not taking responsibility, she finally said that she would fix the mistake. Normally when a restaurant messes up, they don’t argue with you, they just do what is needed to rectify the situation. Also, a good restaurant doesn’t require you to go all the way back. They apologize, and say that you can come back ATYOUR convenience. All in all, the food was eh, the service was horrible but on the bright side, the lemonade was good. I will not be back and I will continue to tell my friends and family to avoid this place.

On this side of town restaurants can mess up a bean and cheese taco or charge you 4 $ for just one taco. Food is great here and price are good. As it is a small restaurant Sundays get crazy and the drive Tru wait gets extremely long, simple fix is to just call in your order.

Great food, long wait times and weird hours though. I can’t et a feel for when is a «bad time» to go and order food. I typically don’t call in my order for taqueria food because it may or may not be cold when I get there. I order in the drive thru and wait times have ranged from 5 minutes to over 30 minutes at various times! Overall I would recommend it, so long as you prepare to wait

Very small restaurant in a strange location, but it had a drive thru and a nice little dining area! free chips, salsa and queso as soon as you’re seated! the food was simple and yummy, I’ve had better but i left full and satisfied. :) fast friendly service, and everyone is bilingual so non spanish speaking folks, don’t feel uncomfortable, because they speak clear english! i will be back :)

While visiting San Antonio we went looking for anything open to satisfy our hunger before calling it a night. We went looking for a restaurant close to the hotel and came upon Taqueria Jalisco 3. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, quality, portions, and the exceptional taste of our meals. To find this quality of food in any other Mexican restaurant one would expect to have to deal with the crowd and noise like a Chuy’s(where the food is only slightly less mediocre, and more expensive). Back home two days later and we are still talking about the food. Strongly recommend it to anyone in the area to give it a try.

We live in Louisiana but come to visit family in San Antonio on a few occasions a year. This little restaurant is wonderful! We order takeout and bring home the goodness to my sisters house and we love it. Our favorites are the carne asada burritos with potatoes and cheese. We also love their horchata, Yummy! Their outer appearance has improved over the last year and their parking and drive thru is not cleaner and easier to drive thru after the walmart finished construction behind it. The staff are friendly and very good at fulfilling our orders completely! This is one of our favorite spots to eat!

Great little find. There will be a wait for breakfast tacos in the drive thru so be prepared to get there early or wait. Not much room inside but it’s nice they also have a drive thru. Not the fastest speed but I attribute that to them making the food fresh. One of the best Machacado tacos on this side of town, they have great ranchero beans, they always give plenty of avocado with the plates

Its been 3 months since i been away from home, San Diego, and i miss going to restaurants there and in Tj for Mexican Food. Got here to San Antonio, Carinos Whataburger Jims Crackel Barrel, cool stuff, but hardly any places for real mexican food. FOUNDONEFINALLY This place is great, so many traditional authentic plates, service is friendly and fast. I felt like back home for alittle bit! They start you off with cheese with tortilla chips which i thought it was awesome, will confess that i had tears in my eyes when i saw the menu jk jaja

Taco time! Parking out front is non-existent. Go to the back or steal a spot from the neighborhood walmart next door. They have a drive-thru! Free chips, nacho cheese and salsa. The salsa is not for the weak… it is spicy but delicious. It’s the watery kind, not the chunky style. Small dining area with a tv in the upper corner. If you notice, the tables are from an old Chinese restaurant since it has Chinese characters and art on it. Thought it was kinda funny since this is a straight up Mexican food spot. Ordered the asada nachos and the #1 carne asada plate. Nachos on the asada was on the sweeter side, not too salty. I recommend ordering a side of sour cream for extra texture and kick. Asada plate was good, nothing to get crazy about. Had beans, rice, guacamole etc. We put white cheese on top of the beans. They will have specials every day and many times it includes a free drink. Overall the food was not bad but not mind-blowing either. Noelia, our server, was very pleasant and had great customer service. She is an awesome worker. Lots of Mexican food spots in San Antonio, might be a while until we return here, but it was aiight all together.

Small on space, huge on taste. Been getting these when they went by different name, and they only improved with new management. I only use drive through and never had a bad order. Very polite and sweet owners, always ask about extras, tacos are fresh and delicious. So pick some up on your way to work!

Delicious guacamole– I put that stuff on everything. Breakfast tacos are always stuffed. The Texas Plate is my favorite because it includes cheese enchiladas and carne guisada with guacamole and on Wednesday it’s on special all day. The parking is awkward and it is tiny inside but the food makes up for it.

I had the 3 crunchy beef taco plate and one al pastor taco, as well as one beef fajita taco. The crunchy tacos consisted of box shells, and were not fried tortillas like they should be. The crunchy tacos arrived in a soup of sorts that made the shells soggy and terrible tasting. The al pastor taco tasted like the meat was old and probably had bad trimmings. The beef fajita was really more like a skirt steak and not fajita. My wife had the carne asada which came with cactus beneath it, rice and beans on the side. The nopales were also soggy and old tasting. She does say the tortillas were ok though. Lastly, no chips and salsa were served. Not sure if you have to pay for them or ask for them, but we weren’t served any. Overall we were far from impressed and can’t convince ourselves to come back.
