They do not serve food not even appetizers. No music playing. Website is totally off and false advertising! Not inviting. Will not be back.

This bar attempts to have a tiki bar vibe, but comes off more trashy than anything. Nestled in the Stone Oak area, one would think the standard of the bars in the area would be a little higher. Limited drink specials. This place can get very crowded, but the low class people that go here matches the trashy atmosphere. If you’re looking for an easy lay or trying to catch a late night cat fight, this is the place for you. But by all means, do not try to impress your first date at Cross Eyed Seagull.

The worst attitudes I’ve ever encountered. If you don’t like your job then find another establishment. I don’t ask for a whole lot other than pouring my drink. An easy task shouldn’t seem like such a chore.

Can’t even give it one star. The girl behind the bar is just rude and nasty. She starts a conversation by I’m bored and mad at a customer while he is trying to pay his tab in cash. She got mad because he only had $ 100 to pay a small tab. She said it’s not like I’ve sold anything all day I don’t have change. Well guess what, an attitude like that and you won’t sell anything. I’ve been here a few times and the bartender is always rude. I’ll never come back while she is working. Just plain nasty attitude. I’m spending money in here and want to have fun. If you don’t like your job get another one and don’t be rude to customers. We are done with this place. PS. Unilocal made me give it a star. It needs a negative star.

This is my «Cheers». I love this place. Good drink specials most nights, free popcorn and the seats outside are giant swings which are fun when trying to induce vomitting on yourself and others. It’s the quintessential«dive-bar» of Stone Oak, which kind of puts it in an awkward between stage but that’s kinda why I like it. Like If I had to compare it to the guy you dated in middle school, cross-eyed would be the white kid from the north side who you knew at heart was a good guy but always acted like a thug so you gave him a chance. Wanksta ex-bf was just the right amount of bad that he never made you uncomfortable but you still felt naughty because he was someone you’d never want to show off to your parents… unless they made you mad. That’s this place. It has a pool table, a jukebox, 2 electric darts thingys, the men’s bathroom has a little door that looks like it was made to fit a hobbit but I’m pretty sure it’s just where cleaning supplies are kept, there’s an upstairs that apparently you can go up and sit at but I’ve never tried it, a bunch of tv’s and if you take the time to look around I’m pretty sure the entire place is supposed to be underwater. Like where spongebob lives. Spongebob frequents this place and rants about his living situation with Sandy. Sometimes Patrick too but I’m not judging either of them, what they do under the rock is their business. All in all, this building is wonderfully mediocre but it’s the people including staff and patrons that kind of tie it all together and make it great. In all seriousness, this is the neighborhood bar, hands down. And that’s all it ever needs to be. I implore you to come check it out for yourself.

Don’t waste your time. Went there after work day before Thanksgiving. Few draft options, horrible service, tried to over-charge. Will not come back.

Drinks were cold. Music was a little loud. Meh. Come here if you don’t mind bad live music…

Great fun bar… bartender that goes by T isn’t very friendly or attentive to customers. Tuesday nights aren’t the night to go in if she is working. Other than that all the other bar tenders are wonderful! Very chill bar and great atmosphere!

The place isn’t bad, but why did give it 1 star? The bartenders! As other reviewers stated, they let you stand there while they talk and do the side work. If they were finishing up the task in a minute or two, I wouldn’t have mind. They literally ignore you when you’re standing there. Let’s just say my coworkers and I agreed to never come back to this place.

Very cool atmosphere, the regulars here seemed accepting enough, no dirty looks. The juke box plays a decent enough choice. However!!! The drinks are way overpriced. I paid $ 7.75 for 1 Maker’s Mark and diet Coke that came in a 4 oz glass ¾ full of ice. Yeah I could taste the whiskey but I definitely feel that I deserve to taste it if it’s served in such tiny glass. Then they had the nerve to charge me $ 1 for using my debt card. WTH? It’s a beer joint at best.

This place was dead. Came in here last month and sat for a bit, the three bartenders looked at us clueless when we came in and continued to talk and arrange the bar where to busy talking. We came up to the bar got ignored again. Avoid this place at all costs!

This is a classic neighborhood bar for good company and a laid back atmosphere. I’ve never had a bad experience with any bartender but I especially like Jillian, Talisha and Coley who are awesome, experienced bartenders. They don’t serve food but occasionally you will be treated a freebie with a surprise snack or pizza.

Two of my co-workers and I stopped by for a drink after work around 10pm. The bartenders leave a lot to be desired. My co-workers and I waited a good 10 minutes for a drink and it wasn’t super busy. The bartenders are all taking shots while ignoring customers. The crowd consisted of barely 21 year old females with their friends, small groups of men preying on said females and the occasional young couple. Not the worst bar I’ve ever been to but I wouldn’t go back if I had a choice.

This place has gone down hill! Customer service is out the window. I arrive before my friend and ordered two vodka red bulls. My friend took a few sips and just really didn’t like it. I asked the bartender if he could just give us a vodka tonic. He stated I will make you whatever you want but I’m going to have to charge you for it. Again I stated the drink is full and my friend didn’t like what I ordered for her could he just make something she likes and he refused! I enjoy all Clark bars except this one!

I came here with a friend on Thursday night, it was hot inside, so most of the patrons, 5 or 6, went outside. I always drink Jack/Coke, it is 6.50 here and more coke than jack, if you go to the Chicago bar next door, it is $ 5 and it is heavy on the Jack. There is no big screen TV here, just two dinky ones in the bar. Would I come back again, probably not.

Back in my partying hayday, this was my favorite bar. I didn’t mind coming home drenched in alcohol/beer from drunk fellow bar-goers and smelling like a cigarette.(Even now that smoking is no longer allowed, the place smells like a stale ash tray). Now, I have grown up and know better. It is always crowded, and it is always the same people/same scene. The music is pretty good, which gives it an extra star. Great for the younger folks, but not oldies like me.

I went to this place with a couple of friends on a Wenesday night. It wasn’t a busy night but the atmosphere was laid back and calming. They played good music which i’m pretty sure was someones IPOD hook-up. All the costumers there were friendly and the bar staff makes some pretty strong drinks! Can’t complain about that at all. S/O to my bartender JD! I’d recomend this as a great place to chill out and grab a few drinks or maybe as a pre-drinking destination!

I’m still a little confused by the concept of Cross-eyed. It looks like a dive bar, smells like a dive bar, but when I go to the bar it’s normal bar prices? A bottled beer can set you back around $ 5, and a gin & tonic was around the same where you could barely taste the gin. They still get points for having Guinness on draft, but that’s about it. The place started to become deserted around 12:00, which was odd, but take the hint and walk to a better bar.

Not a bad place, just bad policy — CHEAPSKATES. Here is my facebook rant about the ridiculous greedy little charge added to your bill for«credit card handling.» CRIME(well, at least in my book) to charge a $ 1.00 «credit card handling fee» if you pay your bill at the Crosseyed Seagull in San Antonio with a credit card. That’s dirty, at least put that in the price of the drinks if you just HAVETOHAVEANEXTRADOLLARPERPATRONUSING A CREDITCARD. I need my own business, unlike Xeyed Seagull I’d take care of my customers. That’s some bull

i wish I could give a Zero Star. I f*ing hate this place. Dive bar my ass. Their drinks are average. But its the crowd I hate. Two visits. Two mistakes. Wanna see a racist crowd stare at a brown person like they’ve never seen one? Go here! Wanna have a drunk guy ask you where your Burka is(I’m not muslim you ass)? Go here! I have never understood the racial remarks people make about Texans, until I made the mistake of going to this place. If this is your thing, please go here and stay here. If its not, I’ll see you at all the other bars around this place –Cheers :)
