Lots of children, some screaming. As bad a corn tortilla as possible, thick, stiff, horrible. The breakfasts were omelets and they were huge, re fried beans not great, nor were the potatoes. All in all, not so good, and it was packed with people. Yo no se.

Best breakfast tacos in San Antonio! The service here has always been great. Everyone is friendly and on top of what they are doing. I love the breakfast tacos, everyone I had tried has been excellent. They really fill up there tacos and the bacon is always crisp.

Wanted hashbrowns so stopped here. No hashbrowns. Ordered the waffle plate with bacon. The bacon was so over cooked I almost broke a tooth on it. The waffle was nothing special, and the potatoes were just like everywhere else. Never coming back.

Good food and friendly service. Pretty reasonably priced if that’s what you’re looking for.

A nice place for lunch. Very good Mexican food. The enchiladas rancheros were excellent. Tender chicken, a tangy sauce, tasty rice and beans. Fresh, hot flour tortillas. Reasonable prices. Service was terrific. Fast, friendly, and attentive. My only complaint is that the men’s restroom was very dirty. It looks like the construction workers from the job out front tracked in a lot of mud and dirt that didn’t get cleaned up.

After being told that this place has pretty good breakfast tacos, I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical. I finally decided to try it being that it is right next to my work and I had no other choice. I was very happy with my tacos! They were exactly what I was craving and were pretty similar to what they serve in my neck of the woods. The green salsa was great as well. Very happy to have found my taco joint on this side of town.

The food is good. List your hours on the home page and get rid of the ants… I’m finished with this review.

Worst Huevos Rancheros I’ve ever had. The sauce was watery and where’s the bacon? Breakfast tacos are pretty good but they only have barbacoa on Sat and Sun.

This has been my favorite breakfast taco place for 6 years. The salsa verde(green salsa made from tomatillos) is a major selling point for me. It is spicy and flavorful, not something I can say about many other taco shops in the area. The food is on point… the fluffiest tortillas, the crispiest bacon and greasiest potatoes. It could kill you if you ate it every day. Undoubtedly the best cheat meal around.

Food was good the times that I have gone but the potatoes on all the plates are absolutely tasteless.

One of my favorite breakfast places. They just got new menus but still have the same great Mexican breakfast. My kid loves their pancakes too. Go right in and find a seat. They have fast service which is nice when you have a child. Can’t wait to go back soon!

Very disappointing. Food was bland. Coffee was terrible. Service was awful. This was our first time trying this establishment, it was about 8am on a Friday so it wasn’t terribly busy. We were looking for a traditional café style breakfast, and given that the restaurant name had CAFE in it, we didn’t realize it was a Mexican restaurant and NOT a traditional café. There were just a few non-ethnic offerings which were incredibly bland and hard to choke down. When our food came, they forgot our side of toast. We asked the waitress for the toast and hot sauce, she never brought either. We will not be returning.

Been going here for 25 years(previously one off Thousand Oaks and before that on Blanco). Consistent and amazing every time! Carne guisada, Barbacoa, nachos and tortillas always fresh. My second home!

I have been here over 50 times, and have had consistently had great food. By the law of averages that makes this place a great spot. Has a great local feel with focus on family and customers. Military discount offered, nice to know that small business recognizes military more often than the corporate world. This place wants to keep your business and treats you as such. It’s a shame I don’t live close anymore ! !!

Great place where locals go to enjoy a very fast and hot made to order breakfast. This Tex-Mex diner style place is packed on the weekend mornings but don’t worry, the fast service makes for a quick turnover on tables. If Mexican isn’t your thing, they also serve pancakes. The fresh, fluffy handmade tortillas are piping hot and delicious. Order individual breakfast tacos or whole plates. The carne guisada is some of the best in the city. The food comes out fast and the waitstaff is very quick. They also serve lunch.

Though it’s not pretty, it’s not fancy, and the walking dead roam the no-tell-motel just outside its doors… DAMN do they make some tasty breakfast tacos! My boyfriend orders his with sausage, eggs, cheese, and gravy(not a standard on the menu) and they are magnificent. Love the coffee, love the staff, love the«we don’t give a crap» outdated cracking vinyl booths. Breakfast for 2 under $ 10? Sold.

This spot did not do justice to my diner cravings — here’s why: 1) 1 regular diner food option — pancakes. Everything else was Tex-Mex, which does not cure a mildly hungover stomach quite like waffles can. 2) Dirty and flooded restroom — the bathroom was flooded, and besides, the door was jammed open, so it was not the place to go. 3) Scary refried beans. They kind of looked like vomit. The one redeeming quality is their friendly, efficient service. The waitress we had was very nice, quick, and friendly.

I’ve only been here twice. The first time, I had the chicken fried steak which was basically a breaded(not battered) fried McDonald’s patty with a little gravy on top; I would not recommend it. However the second time, I had the migas Verdes and that was a home run! That was probably the best migas I’ve ever had. The cheese, tostadas, and eggs were so harmoniously integrated with each other that every bite was just as savory as the last. This is definitely a Mexican restaurant. If their Mexican menu would be comparable to Led Zeppelin’s first few albums, the chicken fried steak is comparable to Zeppelin’s In Through The Out Door.

I came here on a sat morning in search of a good breakfast. The place has more of a Hispanic feel/fare with an extensive breakfast taco list. Customer service was great! I believe this is a seat yourself kind of place, because I stood at the counter waiting and no one said anything. So I went and sat myself, and the waitress brought me a menu seconds after I sat. I ordered the 2 egg, potato and pancake breakfast, which came out in about 5 minutes. Mind you, I was not the only person in there, the place was busy so I was definitely impressed. The food was great! The pancakes were fluffy, potatoes crisp, and the bacon… The bacon was thick like Christina Hendricks. So good! Price was good too, def not an expensive place. I recommend this place, and I will be back to sample those breakfast tacos.

I’ve been eating here sporadically for years. I come back every time just for the chilaquiles with chorizo. This plate is fantastic when it comes to San Antonio Tex-Mex! It comes with the typical potatoes and retried beans you get at every taqueria for breakfast. The retried beans are cooked with bacon fat so the flavor is great. The place can be deceiving since it looks like a diner. It’s clean and the servers are nice. The prices are comparable to other taquerias. I will keep coming back for my chilaquiles! :)
