After reading the awesome reviews, I couldn’t wait to munch these doughnuts! Unfortunately, I have a mixed reaction to my treats. I was so excited to see they actually had fruit kolaches (my fave!), but as another reviewer previously said, the pastries are not the best; the filling was just ok and the dough was not very soft like I prefer. I also ordered a sugar cake doughnut that was a bit dry, but hopefully this was just due to the fact that I didn’t arrive early for my doughnuts, so I got the bottom of the barrel. The best part of my order was, by far, the apple fritter, my personal go-​to doughnut! I’d say it’s one of the better fritters I’ve had.
I’ll be back again to give them another try with a fresh batch of doughnuts. I’ll update my review, of course, if anything changes!

This is honestly the best doughnut place I’ve ever been to. I overshot my mark trying to get to the other doughnut place so I came in here, and I’m glad I did. They have all sorts of flavors and their boudin kolache is soooo good. I’m going to try to come here first thing in the morning sometime so I can try everything fresh.

Probably better than Shipleys, at least the glazed, and they pack it into a full sized box, which I’m a fan of. I thought the glazed were actually the highlight — the cake donuts were the same as every other cake donut I’ve ever had, but the wife loved the cinamman glazed she had. Taking a star off because the danish we split wasn’t very good — the filling was awesome but the crust was chewy and not very good.
Overall, definitely worth a trip (especially if you’re close) and worth driving past Shipley’s if you’re in the mood for donuts. If you want a pastry I’d go to Shipley’s.

I am a donut fanatic. Donuts have been my obsession since I was little so I like to think I know a thing or 2 about donuts. Fresh donuts has a decent selection of donuts, if you like the norm. Jelly filled, cream filled, cruellers… what makes this place unique is the taste. Their donuts have always tasted so fresh and more than flavorful. Plus they are so reasonably priced what’s not to love. If you love donuts and want to support small business. You’ll be happy you did. Give them a try, it will be the best decision you have made. Oh and by the way they have a drive thru.

Great service, huge kolache selection…(they even have boudain kolache!), and yummy donuts! Definitely check it out!
